Studio Ghibli have always had a big place in my heart, ever since I was a kid. I just wanna thank Hayao Miyazaki, Isao Takahata and Mamoru Fujisawa/Joe Hisaishi from the bottom of my heart
I prefer the music in Princess Mononoke, it has a far more Japanese feel to it and feels raw and real, Iâm not saying Howls Moving Castle is overrated, itâs just too Western and Waltzy for me. Maybe itâs because Iâve heard it too much lmao
Princess Mononoke is far more interesting. Howl's does the job as movie soundtrack, but there's not that much to listen.
Considering the very start of the movie has the 2 main characters doing an actual waltz through the air....maybe that's why it's a bit waltzy lol.
@@jmiquelmb it's unpredictable that's the reason why. Things happen and in a big way for most of that movie.

Exactly, it pulls the heart strings !
Never â€ïž
Random fact: I've been watching Studio Ghibli all my life. Growing up, me and my sister would watch Ponyo all the time, so much that the DVD is all scratched up. Of course, I've been watching a lot more of their movies, now that I'm older.
I grew up on Mononoke. Kinda messed up for a kid, but hey! It sort of made me who I am (and yes, 4yo child might be too young)...
Same, Studio Ghibli is a big part of my childhood. Me and my older sister first discovered Castle In The Sky and thatâs when we both fell in love and watched almost every movie to this day
You know it's a bit strange for me to read all those comments because Studio Ghibli has never been very famous in my country and I've only discovered it last year at the age of 17. I did watch Spirited Away as a child though but only once and I didn't remember it well. I grew up mostly on Barbie and Disney.
But now that I watch Ghibli movies, it's like I got my childhood back. Whenever I see their movie, I forget about my age, about everything actually and I'm taking to another universe where I'm still a carefree child. And it's one of the best feelings ever â€ïž
There's just something truly magical about those movies.
Neko Gaming i have been too! i remember especially loving spirited away and ponyo, along with howls moving castle. im proud of myself for loving them so much so soon, i was only 6 when i watched spirited away.

Rename video: studio ghiblis song
@@hoelbigum2019 well... they _are_ some of the best Studio Ghibli songs..
No, it was titled right.
Legend of Ashitaka was on the list
@@Galaxies3000 yes but they are all perfect
@@thehurricane6767 but it should be renamed to "some of the best studio ghibli songs" in my opinion respectively of course
The Princess Mononoke -Legend of Ashitaka really gives me a sense of pride as a royal or a warrior and the second part of it sounds like a backing track for a war scene with the royal leading the army. It is just so accurate that it blows my mind and gives me goosebumps from the first few notes itself.
Another really good ost is the main theme of Only Yesterday. It is soooo soothing to hear and the instruments are almost made to sound like gentle waves in the ocean, that helps to rock you in a very serene state. I would 100% recommend listening to this song when you feel stressed because it just feels like the waves the song creates just gently takes it away, leaving you in such a peaceful state.
It's just perfect like any of the other studio ghibli ost.
But if I had to pick an all time favourite ost from all the movies or series I have watched to far (not only studio ghibli) it would undoubtedly be *drumroll* ........"Merry Go Round of Life" from Howl's Moving Castle.
This movie holds a special place in my heart and the wonderful duet of the piano and the violin (two of my favourite instruments to play and listen to respectively). The scene that comes to mind whenever I listen to it is a couple dancing together, signifies as the piano and the violins. It starts of as slow like they are just meeting each other for the first time from the piano's perspective.....then they start dancing with that faster waltz tempo. They dance together during the highs and lows, separately and together, perfectly complementing each other. They both seem more used to their significant others sound and finally just conveys their emotions to each other with each of their individuality shining through. They do not get lost in each other but help the other shine better creating such a beautiful tune at the end and finally ends their crazy journey with a peaceful long lasting chord. Almost like the couple is now old and just looking back fondly at the memories they created.
It really shows the merry go round of their life and the romantic in me can't help but to fall in love with the genius and the significant emotion of this piece. It gives me the feeling of falling in love and having a happy and well supported relationship even though I have not experienced both situations.
That is my personal favourite and I am forever grateful for Joe Hisaishi for letting me hear the wonderful music he experiences in his genius head.
Apart from the touching music, please, never stop cosplaying.
There should be a part 2!! Ponyo, Porco Rosso, Only Yesterday and more!!
The tale of the Princess Kaguya, The secret world of Arriety, Nausicaa of the valley of the wind... And more!đ
And Pom Poko, Wispers of the heart, Marnie, Grave of the Fireflies...
