Hello Ladies & Gentlemen and as always, thank you for watching. Today, Mike and I "tag team" with our Miller Industries, Century LCG rollbacks (tilt trays) to clear a crash on the Interstate 55. One vehicle in the median between the guard rails and another vehicle impaled by the guard rail. Interesting situation and, thankfully, nobody was seriously injured. How will we solve this potentially difficult situation?? Watch and see! I hope you all enjoy this video!!! Thanks for watching and God bless!!!
My common analogy, "there are many ways to reach 10". I could have approached this (any) job several different ways. The approach method is important, but more important is achieving the desired result safely.
Went back to my traditional intro for now. The new Intro didn't go over very well. I appreciate everyone's input. Thanks again and God bless.
Again, a very special thank you to all my viewers, family, and friends who having taken the time to show their support. May God bless and protect you all!!!

Roll the Camera, I'm watching in Australia !!!
Particularly love the Rollback videos, reminds me of my time driving one just over 3 years ago. You continue to push out quality content, Ron and I look forward to your notifications!
Been a while since i watched but don't you do reddit stories?
I didn't know you where a hooker 🤣 love you videos
@@erikwilliam1254 yes theyndo reddit stories, i listen to them daily
its interesting to see how over the years how crash barriers/guard rails have improved. A while back (with what im guessing was an almost head on collision with the front of that railing) it would have gone straight into the car and caused significant damage; however @2:14 you can see the rail is curled up, that curling up takes energy out of the system. You can also see at @4:35 the structure of the system is just above ground level but the main part has sheared off. These two factors meant the rail diverted and crumpled rather than skewered.
for more info here is a video explaining it in more detail: czcams.com/video/w6CKltZfToY/video.html
Here in Texas it's mandated that all guard rails are turned down into the ground instead of being up in the air for specifically this reason. They did away with guard rails in the air many years ago.
@@Sabrinahuskydog in Europe we call the "up in the air" rails impalers. They became illegal many years ago here after a few really bad incidents where the guard rail went right through the car and driver. The dug down guard rails cost more to build, but they'll flip the car over rather than impale it
Really sweet move pulling the damaged car backwards like that Mr Ron, I had a similar experience last year when I was working with my brother, we were taking a One ton flat bed truck and dump trailer full of firewood to a man across the state line when we came across a Ford ranger that had failed to negotiate a sweeping turn and head went into the ditch on our side of the dirt road and cleaned out fifty feet of mud, the ranger was nose down so I pulled up close to hook up a chain, pulled the ranger out of the ditch and the chain got in front of the ranger and pulled the ranger to man's house, then continued on our way
Ron I love it you’re thinking of the batteries safety first perfect
From other videos, especially where heavy trucks involved, it is important to cut the battery cables and/or remove the batteries as could cause a spark that could ignite leaking fuel or oil. Extra caution has to be taken with EV's and Hybrids, firefighters, police and tow truck operators will usually have to pull a master switch to cut off the batteries from the rest of the car.
Mr Ron Thanks for sharing and stay safe
Yall sure have a great relationship with fire ems and law enforcement that's wonderful
Most cops and firemen really appreciate an efficient and fair priced tow guy. In my area we have two companies that price very fair. We have another family company that has a couple big wreckers and several rollbacks like Ron’s. But their prices are towards the high end, but when there is a mess- it’s best to call them. And 2 companies that are price gouging and have terrible service, they don’t get called much…..🤣
In that state they're all on the same team and all work together. They even get to run Code-3 / red-blue-lights + siren on their tow trucks sometimes too.

Ron and Mikey! Haven't seen Mikey lately and glad he's on today. Thanks for the tour in N.C. That's a beautiful area in N.C. Glad you were able to travel there. Its my home state. You guys be safe.
Mikey was in the video "Dangerous Dump!! End Dump Rollover" a couple weeks ago. And yes the Smokies are beautiful, just a very small glimpse of GOD'S GLORY & POWER!! GOD BLESS YOU!!
Prayers for all and u and mike
Love those retractable ratchet straps! As soon as I saw you getting them out (years ago) they went on my wish list! Thank you for letting me know they exist!
Not hard to buy, they are sealey retractable ratchet straps. In the UK they are about £26 a pair (so about 30-35 bucks a pair) for the 25mm (1 inch) version that Ron uses, there's a 50mm (2inch) version for about twice as much (unsurprisingly)
I've got 6 of them after seeing them on this channel, and a lot of my friends have seen mine and bought them as well.
When I w them back when, they went on the inventory list. I love them too.
Another fine job in the books, be safe my friend and GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AND TEAM.
Never get tired of seeing the Midwest Towing crew in action. Thanks for sharing Ron
Glad no one was seriously injured
Great job Ron
Thank you. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Ron good to see you in the roll back. It is always good to see Mikey. It looked worse then what it was. It is always good when nobody gets hurt vehicals can be replaced lives can't. Thanks Ron for the tour of NC beautiful country.
I'm glad no one was seriously injured as well. That is always the first thought is for the safety of whomever was involved. Mike is a tremendous asset. Thank you for watching and God bless.
'head to the shop, get a different vehicle, and take you on to the VA'. you do our servicemen proud, Ron
Another great job done by you Ron and Mike.
Very nice offering to switch vehicles and get the man to the VA.
Good morning Ron!
Another good one! Every employer should have an employee like Ron has in Mikey. Vice versa, every employee should have an employer like Mikey has in Ron. Go Ron! Go Mikey!
Great to see Ron & Mike working together again.
On a side note, that was a pretty big coil. I have hauled a little bigger coil, in the past.
That was a getting it done moment great video, You and Mike made it look so easy thanks for sharing. Stay safe and blessed to all 🙌🙏❤
nice quick rollback video. I noticed the respect that you showed those involved.
You definitely are a man of integrity.
Good Video Ron Very Smart Having The Tow Pins on the front bumper Love The Way you think on your feet
Wonderful no one hurt. To bad about the car and guard rail. Thank you Ron Pratt and Mike for a job well done. God Bless and have a Wonderful weekend 🙏
Thank you kindly for the comment. Both the vehicle and the guardrail did an excellent job of keeping the occupant safe.
Cheers Ron. Not trying to tell you how to do your job, but that extra piece you had with the battery, if you just added a twist to the strap to secure it (with it against something so ithe strap won't untwist) it will work on most things (not always of course) I have very successfully transported many a odd shaped thing that way. Not that you probably had very far to go. Anyway, I appreciate you respecting the privacy of the owners of the vehicle by not showing them, you always have the thoughts of others in mind before yourself, which is one of the reasons I bother to follow you. Thanks again & cheers from Oz !! Oh... Glad everyone was ok!
Morning Mr Ron prayers and well wishes for all involved and prayers for your family and employees.
AMEN brother!! ✝️
Awesome video keep up with a great work and be safe out there.👍😀
🥈🏆
That must've been a pretty low hit since there's no air bag deployment and the bumper bar (behind the plastic cover) doesn't look to be damaged. Still a nasty looking wreck from the outside.
As always, be safe and God bless you, your crew and your equipment!
Also a testament to the guard rail engineering absorbing the impact and bring the car to a (relatively) easy stop.
That is one theory. I really couldn't say why, but so glad the occupant wasn't injured seriously. Thank you so much for the positive comments on the channel. God bless and thank you for watching.
Agreed, grateful there were no serious injuries. Thank you for watching and God bless.
I had to resubscribe....was wondering why I wasn't getting your videos anymore. But I'm back
guard rail protective end performed beautifully i love to see that!!
Yes, it certainly did it's job well. Thank you for watching and God bless.
The people in the car that hit the guard rail must have said their prayers that morning. They were able to get out of the car and physically fine. I don't understand why the airbags didn't pop, guess it was an odd angle to not set it off. The SUV that was also involved was very lucky, they could have flipped, hit a car in the opposite lane. The SUV should get to a garage and make sure nothing wrong under it, clean out the mud. Likely slippery road and speed were factors.
Did you know that the airbag impact sensor is in the right headlight assembly not the left that's why if you have an impact on the left side of your vehicle will not set off the airbags.
@@orangepickel2
sorry that's not how it works. Air bag systems use multiple crush sensors and or accelerometers to determine whether a crash warrants air bag deployment. The air bag module uses a multitude of data from vehicle speed to brake actuation and deceleration forces to determine which bags to deploy. There are even occupancy sensors to decide if a seat has a person in it which will determine whether a passenger bag will deploy. In this case based on the damage it is apparent that the deceleration forces were outside of the requirement for bag deployment. Unless of course the system was non functional eg the Airbag light was on.
Great job, Ron.
Always a pleasure, have a great day!
Mikey's tying the vehicle down, Ron's souvenir hunting. Nice looking sign and a Toyota grill for the wall of the man cave :)
Lol, not sure LaDonna would appreciate that, but I do like the idea. Thank you for watching and God bless.
*Simple, Educational and Entertaining. Good Job Midwest Truck !*
That was a fast one. Ron pulls up make sure the people are ok and have a ride, clears up the wreck and boom done. Nice video I do like to see you handle the tough jobs .
First thing I have to say is I do miss seeing Tallon out on the recoveries, but you and Mikey work so well together just like clockwork. Even with this being a hook and book, you guys have things down so well.
Thank you for another video. This was an easy one. God bless everyone. I wonder if that other vehicle had all wheel drive.
You 2 have nice weather with this job. Seen on 27-5-22 at 15:40 in the NL
Good Afternoon My Good Big Bro Ron Pratt Sir & God Bless You & All Of You're Whole Family & All Of You're Whole Staff Today
Awesome , Thanks Ron & Mike 😊
Watching from North Carolina
Ron, one of the police officers or fire members made sure that the keys to that guardrail car, were on the front seat for you.
Teamwork is a blessing. I'm glad nobody was hurt.
Love the teamwork between you and Mike
First of all Ron, a happy new year to you, your family and workers. Love watching you and Mike work together. No words need to be spoken. That's professional for you.
Another great video. Thanks and God bless.
Glad everybody was ok! Good job getting it towed away!
Great recovery, liked that front hookup to pull car out, great job, thanks for sharing
Happy memorial day to you and your family
Nice easy and quick job for once. Great seeing these shorter jobs. 😃
I usually put out a really crazy comment for comedy relief, but due to the first comment about a plane crash, I'll be respectful and just say that I'll say my prayers for all involved. As always, all the best to everyone. Chef Scott 👩🍳
Glad there were no injuries in this accident. Great tear work by all as usual sir. God bless & be careful out there.
Great team work. Blessings. 🙏👠👠
The driver was lucky to hit it centered, a few inches to the side and it could have come thru the drivers door.
As always thanks for the ride along1
Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
As many wrecks as you pull, I would have thought they would all have a handful of your business cards! Keep up the great work! Stay safe and God Bless you and your crew!

Another job well done. You guys do good work. 👍👍👍❤️
Lucky that no one was hurt in that and God Bless you and your family and friends and be careful and safe and may the force be with you
Video yang bagus my friend
You made quick work of that job! Stay safe and God bless.
"The wheels are spinning in my head..." *squeak* *squeak* *squeak*
I don't think I've ever seen you pull with the front of the truck like that before...but it works, and that's what counts.
Lucky that was one of the new generations of guard rail, with the anti-impalement and anti-launch device on the end. That's the long heavy device on the end which slides along the rail with the casualty, deflecting the actual rail off to the side. The original basic Armco had a habit of deeply impaling a vehicle in that sort of collision, sometimes penetrating the passenger compartment, or launching the vehicle into the air with a concrete or metal protection ramp on the end. The new style just absorbs the forces relatively cleanly, when it works as intended.
Good job, nicely done, fast and efficient.
An algorithm booster comment for your channel.
Always appreciate a positive comment 👍
hey ron i hope u have a good day
your team got another one great work
thank you thank you so much for the video thank you so much for posting a second video this week please keep going with posting two times a week a video God bless love watching you every time you come out with the new video can't wait till the next one
When you pulled that car off the guard rail and I could see the damage...praise God she's alright!
Impressed that the Camry didn't have an airbag deployment, especially with the amount of crush zone intrusion 😂
Lots of theories on this one.....speed of impact, location of impact, no seatbelt, most of the shock absorbed by the guardrail. At any rate, the car and guardrail did a fine job of keeping the occupant safe. Thank you for watching and God bless.
I hate driving through there when leaving Cape. Everyone is on eachother's butts until you get past Scott City almost all the way to Benton. I imagine a lot of calls come in through there.
Hope no one was injured and a great video as always
I bet this driver is glad that they changed the design of guard rails years ago. That would have split that car in two.
Where the hazmat placard come from?
I like the hat on your dashboard. Like watching your videos
Well done ron..just professional..fun to watch👌🏼👌🏼
Oh no😱 Ron you forgot your three toots when you backed up. Where did the flammable placard come from?😳
The placard likely fell of a truck, it was just on the ground by the guard rail by the crash spot.
I was wondering about the placard, also. I guess it was telling us it was a gasoline powered car!!
Plaques is off a fuel tanker aka gas truck
1203 is the chemical identifier for gasoline probably fell off a tank trailer.
Good job switching plans on the spot, thats a pretty hard hit.
Awesome job
Great easy job. Stay safe and healthy.
Thank you, you too. Thank you for watching and God bless.
Ron, please pray for everyone affected in the plane crash in Wauwatosa last night. From what I hear the pilot is still alive but in critical condition,
Prayers sent
I'm in Kenosha and I heard about that
Prayers.
From reports there was only one passenger in the cessna 152. An 18 year old male that's still in critical condition.
@@timothygeiger8271 update, he passed away from the crash a few days later.
Short and sweet, but no injuries, best outcome, thanks Ron 👍🇺🇸🇬🇧🪝🙏.
Exactly. No injuries and smooth recovery. Thank you for the positive comment and for watching. God bless.
The best are when there are No Injuries. Shame for some of the cars & trucks that are totaled thaough. Stay safe out there Ron and watch your six.
That's tag team, well done.
Thank you so much. Thanks for watching and God bless.
