- Major Semi Rollover Blocks Entire Freeway. Finally, something rolled over that isn't a container. And after the load spilled all over the freeway, it was empty too! Received this job from Omar at Titan Tow at 6am, and immediately headed out to assist in my 50ton rotator, Hulk.
I was first on scene since I was already headed in to work and had a driver meet me at this onramp in Hulk. From there I got a royal police escort, backwards, to the incident. At exactly this time they had managed to move some debris to snake a path for some vehicles to pass through on the center divider side as morning rush hour is BRUTAL. This was only temporary since that's the side that had debris, and my goal was to open up a lane on the opposite side as fast as possible.
The only way to do this was to winch the entire thing towards me and straighten it out. This worked great, and allowed 2 lanes of traffic to pass simultaneously while Omar and I got our game plan and rigged for the final job. First step was to close and secure the box to the chassis, then we rigged quickly to get this tractor and trailer up and out of the way.
The job was high pressure but overall I found it quite easy. Omar had a heavy wrecker on scene up front so as soon as it was upright, it went straight onto the under-lift and ready to tow out. Unfortunately the freeway still had to be shut down to do a full debris cleanup, but those guys seemed fast and after a bit, all lanes were open and traffic free again.
Since this was a rush job, I didn't get to use a drone or Sony or any other fancy equipment. All footage was shot with my iPhone 15 Pro in Apple Log, what did you guys think?

Never ceases to amaze me that on a nice SoCal day with dry pavement that you can end up with a mess like this.
People drive too fast and think they own the road. Always makes for crazy accidents
There was also a car (maybe an SUV) involved in the accident. They took it away on a rollback. Perhaps it changed lanes too close to the front of the truck. People don’t realize that it takes longer for a semi to stop than it does a car.
I figure the SUV was the victim of spilled concrete. @@55VickyV
On that stretch of the 605 people drive way to fast
@@obfuscatethecode5696 whenever I get back to Cali .. I can go anywhere in the U.S. and as soon as I get into Cali it feels like it’s a race track bruh .. it’s like People in Texas have a 70 MPH speed limit and they drive 70 maybe 75 MPH for example but here in Cali it’s 65MPh and everyone here is going 90 and shit 😂 it’s fucken ridiculous
As a retired operator of 20 years it never ceased to amaze me when we needed a lane to work so that we'd be safe in doing our job the CHP wanted the lanes open and they wanted them open right now so you better move your ass and do it
but if a CHP officer break a fingernail on the freeway during a traffic stop they'll shut the whole damn freeway down for hours while they do their investigation that's how it's done in SoCal
Cops are like that everywhere.
Ha ha 15:39 thanks for the shout out. My oiler and i were stuck in that for about 2 hours. Got on the freeway just 2 exits south of this. Glad you were there to get this cleaned up.
You guys do great work been a subscriber for a long time. Posted some of my own videos but it’s not easy to make good videos. Hats off to you for taking the time to keep people informed and entertained.
OE local 12 SoCal baby!
You’re welcome, this is why I made the decision to agree with chp and drag it to open up that lane. Insane how long it was shut down for before I even got there especially in morning rush hour. Safe travels out there!
@@PepesTowingServicemuch appreciated! As you know us CDL guys can’t just jump off the freeway and take side streets.
As a crane operator I’m always impressed with how you rotators can get things done. If your ever interested in getting up and close to some crane work just reach out.
This one was also done neatly and quickly.
What a great company promotion.
Josh it’s great to see different companies working well together! Another awesome video! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
right! f the corporations
Pepe, you and your crew are at the top! Another no drama recovery that was as hard as they come! Congrats!
Boa noite pepe,s e equipe.😊
Hard??? The road was already closed. Could of backed 2 trucks up to where it was and flipped and drug it on its wheels out the way. Instead of dragging it down the hwy to straighten it out. Would of been much faster to open the hwy
Pepe la pew 😅
The conditions you guys have to operate under is wild!! I’m always impressed - crazy traffic, the people, the odd scenarios, the heat, sometimes rain and the cliffs… just crazy
Want to know a secret? I thrive in these conditions. The more pressure, the worse the environment, the better for me lol.
That driver knew he was on CZcams 😂😂
Pepe's Towing never ceases to amaze me as to the quality of their work and their ability to solve complex problems and work with other companies and organizations. Bravo Zulu.
There's nothing cocky about the truth. It's called confidence. Great job as always!!!
It's nice that two different towing companies can work together. As always, Josh job well done.
15:44 You've made it Josh! Hulk and the crew is CZcams famous 🤣 Another fantastic job dude, it's always great when you collab with Titan etc. 💪🏼
Haha I get TONS of DMs on insta from people doing this. It's such a cool feeling to do a job and everywhere I go I get "recognized".
When I saw Hulk on the KTLA morning news getting ready to "do its thing", I knew it would make a great CZcams. You make this complicated stuff look easy! And great call on chain binders on the hydraulic cylinders.
As a 60 year old tow truck driver in Canada wished I had of equipment like that in my time! awesome job guys. Some people don't believe it take some real engineering to accomplish what looks completely impossible safely and with the due time to free traffic
In much of the 3rd world, a tow driver wd do exactly this
Started my thirty three year trucking career operating a wrecker when we only had slings. I’m from Cali and you guys do a phenomenal job. Whatever you do if you get a show don’t let them make you look like fools. Do it your way or no way. Great channel.
Josh You most often commend "the Hulk's" power. But it's your skill and learned knowledge that makes it all come together. Another excellent recovery!
You are too quick for everything 😂🙌 that’s why you’re the man with the plan
Thank you Mr Ruiz !
Wow. I’m an old lady and enjoy watching you guys work together. My hubby was a good worker . He ran the paving plant, to build new freeways.
Hey Josh & Omar !! Great work with doing the job at hand & letting the traffic flow !!! 👍👍👍👍👍 ALL should be well pleased with this recovery for sure !!! 😉🤔🤗
Very pleased!
Nice to see why you show that, when any police agency calls, they get the best to deal with the mess. Yet another example of why any company that does recovery work on any of the nation's highways needs a rotator.
What a messy job. Always a pleasure to watch you work 😀. Another great video!!
PEPE’S ROCKS
Great job Josh pulling it to straighten it out and setting on it's wheels!
I'm an ex copper in Melbourne Australia......fully impressed with your skill and speed mate...love watching your videos
Another awesome performance 🤓🙋♂️👍
You guys are so efficient. I love watching these rollover videos. Thanks!
That's nice to see how respectful you are of these wrecks that Pete looks like it could be repaired pretty quick
Nothing beats the green on your truck hulk boy 😅
I always feel like a proud grandma when I watch you do these jobs....everything is precise and professionally done in record time. I guess I better be careful........I'm sounding a little cocky!!
These messy rollovers are where you guys shine and make it look easy!👍👍
Always impressive.
Excellent job you have a good grasp of physics and geometry when it comes to seeing what will happen when you start your pulls and lifts.
The techniques that I learn from you are invaluable.👍
Can't get enough of these videos. Thanks.
Hey Josh, I recognize that flatbed/rollback. It's a Hino. If I remember correctly Hino 265. It's what we used. Had between 30-40 of them. Great truck! You are the lucky one having your truck and knowledge, you've said it before that you have the best job. I agree 👍 Peace ✌️
Josh and Omar, Incredible recovery! You make a good pair.
Awesome content
Love all the hard work. You make it look easy
Josh, super nice job, love the way you can manipulate the lines to get the rig to go exactly where you want it to go.
A heroic work and all thanks and respect to you
That accident could hardly have happened in a worse place! Great to see all involved working together to get the job done! 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
So cool that you knew exactly how to keep those lanes open and rotate the tractor and trailer so accurately. Impressive machinery too.
Absolutely BEA utiful !! I love this stuff ! You guys are amazing ! Stay safe .
Great work as always.
You are a master at rigging! It is all about understanding the geometry of the cables and stress management!
Oh no you forgot your high vis chains😂😂😢
It is very interesting watching and listening to how you clean these wrecks up. Great job.
WOW that's awesome thanks 😮
Is like you are in the perfect area for towing business
Is like there is always something going on the LA area
Fantastic work Pepe & Crew !! 👍🏼✅🤩
The rust doesn’t make it old. Makes it a maintained. That’s a 389 with emissions crap on it so it’s fairly new. My Pete 379 is old. 22 years old and original paint that shines
I was looking for this comment- you're right, that's at least a 2011 389...a newer truck by my standards. I'm still working a 1984 359 Pete and a 2000 379 up in Oregon. Old school.
this channel is actually amazing. the first person POV is great.
Everything about that job was so Beautiful great job 💯👍👊
Nice precise work.....well done 👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome roll over recovery and as always making it look easy
always great to watch such skills
Someone took that Rolling Stones sticker at the back of the trailer a little bit too literal...
Awesome recovery and very good job with the video!! I did a lot of CHP calls back in my day and, you are absolutely right, they are in charge. You do what they ask as quickly and safely as possible. There is a difference between being "cocky" and being "confident". You are not cocky. Stay safe out there!!
There are times for safety I push my way. But in this case I agreed, having the entire freeway shutdown is an absolute no-no. Thank you!
Watching a rotator and it's perfectionist master are like Beethoven performing a symphony!
Very impressive work, I enjoyed watching that roll 😮
Don’t know what it is about the videos you guys make but they are very relaxing. I guess it’s the smooth paise of the jobs are very methodical and thought out. It’s like know one’s gonna rush you because you guys have all the control.
Very beautifully done brother! That couldn't have been done any better than that!
Beautifully executed!
Epic video bro, helpin me learn heavy haul and i appreciate it, hope you got your hi vis chains and those binders off that cylinder.
Good afternoon from Southeast South Dakota
In Chicago area only time road is shut down that long is if it’s a fatal other than that the name of the game is get the highway back open!!! Good job
Great job 👍
That was very cool nice work you'll love the channel always thanks 👍😊
Great job! I used to live right there… on Pioneer Blvd with the 605 in our backyard.
Damn that move at 15:00 with traffic right beside was something else! Nice work.
You're pretty damn Amazing at your job! That rollover was PERFECT

I’m so impressed. Imagine this being your first day at work at how stressful it must be to know your time is essential for an entire city. No pressure.

Impressive recovery especially when having traffic on both sides and having the added pressure to hurry up. Total professional and some amazing equipment to do it. I'm curious what does the bill for something like this run?
Nice job guys.
Great job guys
Love it. That is what I call Hell of a job. Nice rigging skills 💯👍
That was awesome good job
Very good Pepe!
BEAU tifull ! You are the best.
Awesome vid…… so precise and accurate…… you guys rock …….masterful flip……👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
I am very glad that the fuel tanks didn't rupture.
Nice flip
Good job 👍
It looked real impressive cause thats a heavy as tractor even though the trailer is empty. It just rotates with ease.
