I am 26 years old have followed Afcon most years I can remember. For the majority of that time, it's been pretty dull. However this year has been something else! Hopefully sign of things to come 🎉
AFCON 2024 will go down in history as the best ever. Beautiful quality football, no contentious referee decisions, VAR has worked perfectly and has been consistent unlike in Europe, and seeing the big powerhouses struggle to beat small nations. I don't want it to end 😭

Joking aside, it is a very beautiful competition, im my opinion it is the most entertaining continental competition especially this year's, the ones that saw the group stage drama would know what i am on about Ps: barcelona got knocked out because ghana's keeper touched the ball 😂
You do realize that some of these same things has happened in the Euros, the Copa, and Asian Cup among others. AFCON actually is a competitive, entertaining tournament that is very unpredictable. Just about all of the teams in this "2023" tournament are at least good, and on any given day the supposed favorites can lose to any team...just ask 🇲🇦 and 🇸🇳. Most importantly, VAR at this tournament has generally been spot on. This iteration of AFCON isn't perfect, but it certainly is a legitimate competition.
My guy, those people are hypocrite, they will make fun of AFCON all day but when it happens in European competition they say shit, ex: plenty of clear scoring opportunities Haaland missed in the PL. Me, I'm enjoying AFCON, the asia cup and the Euro, no time for stupid haters.
You could make a video like this about any big tournament, we just ignore the bloopers in Europe and make the bloopers highlights when it comes to Africa.
Over a year yes all lleagues included. Not in three weeks this is womans level football this its too funny. No positional sense absolute chaos in defence keepers are horrendous. It's a great watch though for the wrong reasons.
I don't like the suggestion that afcon is laughable. No Afro pessimism! Some of these countries are tiny and under resourced and punching way above their weight like Iceland once did. The games have been decent quality and featured players from top leagues against players from third and fourth tier teams. It's been awesome and surprising this year. AND MY TEAM JUST DUMPED OUT MOROCCO!
And to top it all off, Morocco (one of the powerhorses of this AFCON) just lost to South Africa last night in the most ridiculous way possible, the entire game was a shitshow I tell you 😂
Afcon 2024 is the best in terms of tactical, defensive organization nd attacking patterns+ the football infrastructure,the full stadiums🤩.. African football is becoming better nd better as the years go by..by 2040 we'll be dominating world football,on par or even better than south America or Western Europe..watch this space..

For example, Havertz gets criticized a lot for his clumsy play, but nobody ever condemns the EPL bcos of the actions of just a few players. Despite the fact that AFCON has had really quality matches, the referees and var have been better than most tournaments as well. All that gets ignored, you people pick out only a few bad examples and use it as a representative of the whole thing. Makes no sense at all. Take some time and watch the matches bcos I don't think any of you do.
