Today we are looking at AFCON, or the African Cup of Nations. This tournament finished on Sunday with a great flourish, but it was the entire tournament that was special. Everything you could possibly want was involved and it's time that AFCON gets the respect it deserves. I hope you all enjoy!

Great video as usual. Nigeria ended up winning South africa but the 2-0 to VAR to 1-1 was also a crazy moment.
The Nigeria vs South Africa game was also a funny game because Nigeria scored at the 85th minute of the game to make the break(at least they thought) and then var overturns the goal gives a penalty to South Africa which they scored to send it to extra time.

You missed out on the drama in the Nigeria vs south africa game. The var decision that turned overturned a goal and gave a penalty on the other end. It was so tense that people actually died watching the game.

Amazing video. AFCON is so entertaining, because so many random things are happening. I remember when Ivory Coast was in a final that went to penalties (I think it was 2015, but I could be wrong). Gervinho took his penalty and for the rest of the shootout he sat on a plastic garden chair we all have at home 😂
Also I was hoping you would show Gambias 3-3 against Cameroon where the gambian player literally volleyballed the ball in the goal and went celebrating like crazy just for it to get taken back by VAR. When he recieved the yellow for the handball he just smiled to the ref 😂

Keep in mind there is a THIRD country in africa called Guinea, which is Guinea Bissau, who did not participate in the Round of 16 because they ended up fourth in the Group Stage where they lost 4 - 2 to Equatorial Guinea because of course they did.

Titles contenders fall off short, everyone try so hard to avoid Japan just for them to get humiliated by Iran, Jordan miracles run, hat-trick penalties in the final,... that quality content right there. I laughed so hard when Qatar get that third penalties, funniest shit I've ever seen.

South Africa was a one time afcon winner in 1996 , finals 98 second place, 2000 third place, 2002 4placed. We not minnows in Africa we have been ranked 1 many times on our continent. We have the best league in Africa. We beat France 2-1 in 2010 world cup. Don't undermine us and do your research properly.
