- Slash Vid Every time I'm watching an episode of Torchwood I become aware of even more hints of Doctor Who. And I'm really starting to think that Jack's some kind of obsessed with the Doctor and everything he's in contact with. lol Have you noticed that Jack has a scion of the TARDIS standing on his desk? O.O Anyway, I just love that song - it's so funny and also weird and I think it suits Jack and the Doctor really well. XD The video is dedicated to Laura - I hope you like it. =D

I think that it's because the Doctor changed Jack into a better man (Jack said that himself, he was a con-man, not someone taking a bullet for a friend). Also, Jack really wanted to get the Doctor to answer some of his questions, one of the most important was - why did he leave him? I think a lot of Jack's obsession went away after The Year That Never Was.

I think it's kind of weird how obsessed he is with the doctor. They didn't travel that long together, and Jack shouldn't be all that awed by space/time travel, since he is, after all, "a 51st century guy," a former time agent, and is used to aliens & robots. At least, he shouldn't be as awed as most other companions.

Think its because he said something about being the face of boe. :)
Jack said they used to call him The Face Of Boe, which is the name of a head that the Doctor meets in the future. The Face Of Boe is millions of years old and often talks to the Doctor when their paths cross. The Face Of Boe died a very short time before Jack tells them this, his dying words were "you are not alone". Jack can not die so it is possible he could live to be millions of years old, and at this point doesn't know he is The Face Of Boe so he doesn't understand their surprised reactions.
