FUN FACT!! Regarding the Night Pegasus mount. It also is a REALLY rare drop from Material 3.0 containers which you can buy for 20,000 Grand Company Seals at your GC Quatermaster!
Getting your squadron stats like the flagged mission requires to get the rank those boxes need for purchase is a bitch though so it's not that easy.
It took me a month to get squadron rank 3, I dread the rank 4 🤣

Don't forget the beast tribe mounts. Sure, each one takes a few weeks to get, but all you have to do are your daily beast tribe quests (which take like 15 min/day TOPS), and then reach "sworn" reputation in the tribe. Then go to the tribal vendor and buy the mount. ARR and HW tribal mounts are bought with gil, but StB, ShB, and EW tribal mounts are bought with tribal currency - which you should have more than enough of once you get to the reputation rank you need to buy the mount.
What? 😅 where are tribes?
The ARR beast tribe mounts are amazing but the HW ones kinda suck and cost 80k more

was once doing a farm for nightmare with a full party, we got 4 in a row. 😅 of course, after that we didn't see one for a while haha.

when I do Khloe's journal, I'll usually do leveling dungeons and then at the end of the week, spam the ARR extremes. With the rng mounts, do duties for your WT and achievement goals. You'll get the rng drop along the way
Keep in mind, with the Moogle Treasure Trove tomestone events (always in the 2-3 weeks before a major patch drop), you can only buy larger items from the event that is running or the one just past. If you go to exchange tomestones from an event older than that, you are only able to buy the Job Mastery prism. I learned this first hand, by procrastinating like an idiot.
You should have note that the Nightmare mount that you can get a chance to get it when you do the extreme trials of Garuda, Titan, and Ifrit. Those are the only three that can drop the mount along side the mounts that drops only with the extreme trials.

I was doing khole's journal and the nightmare mount just dropped outta nowhere, I didn't know what it was until I looked it up and I had no idea how bad the drop rate was 💀 I got super lucky with that one

You missed some other easy Mounts like all the Beast Tribe Mounts which is literally just do dailies. Also the Lvl 70 Ala Mhigo Dungeon drops a Mount from the Endboss (with freaking low Droprate) that can be done unsync at lvl 90. And also there is the Silky Mount for getting all the "Endings" in the Criterion Dungeon that also can be done Solo at any Class.
Yeah the beast tribes can be east, but when you have no DoL/DoH leveled up, they can be a drag to do when you're doing the tribes that isn't related with combat.
@@KeiyarlaDraga on the other hand, can say with experience that the Ixtal beast tribe quests are a great way to level your craftskills due to the unique way they work.

I got baited on the horse grind where I got the nightmare, instead of leviathans horse for like two pulls.
Regarding the Nightmare mount; It only drops from Ifrit, Garuda, and Titan EX. I personally suggest going in as a DPS that can Burst IMMEDIATELY, such as Summoner against Garuda. I was able to beat it in 7-8 Seconds fairly consistently. It's drop rate sucks, but between Wonderous Tales, helping PF people with Mount Farming, and material grind for weapons, I did eventually get it.
@Game Design Andy Ifrit is inconsistent for me, it's either 7s like Garuda, or 20. I haven't been able to get timing right I feel
For Stormblood mounts, every fight is able to be completed as a duo group. My partner and I got all the doggies in two days as PLD and RDM :)

Id like to add to this video once you unlock ishguard's infirmament ( post HW so trial players can do this i think aswell ) you can do crafting and gathering(lv20) for scribs or if ur not a crafter/gather then just do the fetes over there as a lv 1 gathering or crafter do the 5 mini games for 500 scribs for a single round of fetes and if done every so offten can buy several mounts music sheets,minions,others stuff
One of my buddies and I had two nightmare whistles drop in a row doing Garuda for Wondrous Tales. She takes about 40 seconds to solo with current ilevel, so it’s worth doing to eventually get it?
you can solo some of the omega savage stuff to get mounts, just takes awhile and you gotta be a tank like warrior.
I would add the Silkie mount from the Variant Dungeon. It only took me about 6-7 hours to solo the dungeon and all the paths.
If you want to grind nightmare mount I suggest doing ifrit or garuda ex (unsync ofc) with SAM or other bursty classes.
A well times Oni Namikiri can skip phases in those fights
6:58 i actually cleared potd once - and got not only one but two of this mount from treasures. Beginning to realize how lucky i was 😅
The Night Pegasus from PotD you mentioned. It's worth noting that it only drops from the accursed hoard bags, and of those, only on floors 150+. Which means you'll either need a fixed party to run with, or you'll need to solo it yourself which is a very difficult challenge in its own right
For ARR Extreme mounts, you just need a class that is level 80-90. They die so fast that I farmed them all on Black Mage. Heavensward, you need a level 90 character for the most part. Some of them require 2 people if you are not a tank.
Now we do Hardest mounts to get:
1. Astrotope mount - 2000 mentor roulettes
2. Centurio Tiger -- 3000 A rank and 2000 S rank wild monster / hunt mark kills
3. Pteronodon -- 500,000 skyward points on each discipline of land and hand in the Ishgardian Firmament.
4. The Morbol mount -- for blue mage parties.
5. Any of the other grindy hunt mounts like the Triceratops or Victor.
6. The Flying Card mount from triple triad.
My Friend Yellow Skies has the Astrotope flying 2 seater Pegasus thing. He was doing mentor roulettes regularly for a year.
I Have the Pteronodon... I took 6 months, and about 500 hours on it when it was fairly new. It is my ultimate flex.
7:05 PotD was released in Heavensward, but accessible while still only in ARR
Cleared Alexander Savage solo as a summoner. ilvl was around 580-590. 😄
I did a nightmare farm with my partner last year took 4 or 5 hours to get one.
Then about a year later I got Summoner to IL620 see if I could reliably solo Ifrit in a single burst as a test and somehow got the mount first time.
Then a few tales later we found again but neither of us could use! Luck is a hell of thing.
I got the knightmare mount on my very first attempt to grind for the horse mounts, got it so quick I thought that was the one I needed from ifrit to get the legendary, the one I had to grind for was the regular ifrit mount drop
I started to finally farm the extreme mounts, got all the pegasus mounts, then the kirin mount, but on the last mount it took me 2 tries because the first drop was the nightmare which I got on The Navel. From what I heard, Navel has a 1% drop rate for the nightmare, but not sure it that's true or not.
I actually just bought the Potd pegasus mount off the market board for 1,111,111 gil the other day. Was pretty excited. Thought about re-selling it but I'd rather just actually have it.
Moggle trove events always start 1 month before the next big patch or special moggle trove events before Fan fest (at least it was last time)

How do these events and unlocks work for new players? Example I'm on the xbox trial. Have I missed so many mounts and cosmetics over the years the game has been out? Will I ever be able to collect them all? I think they gotta be fair on xbox users, if I can't collect them all. Let me know if anyone has the answer to this, thanks.

you can in fact solo deltascape 4 savage, just not on DRK just due to healing checks in the fight
Soul of the creator is possible to solo as a DPS I did it as Reaper. It was super close tho so best bet is tank
I did the ARR extreme horse grind with my friend and we both got Nightmare before the Kirin lol
I got the nightmare mount first try lmao, but also the mount from potd wasn't something I liked looking at so I just sold it
I got Nightmare while farming Titan. Took about 6 clears to get Nightmare, took about 14 for the regular Titan mount...
I soloed the 4th stb savage on PLD. It's soloable. For o12 i farmed with with just 2 other people. I was a lvl 90 gnb and was with a lvl 80 gnb and lvl 90 PLD
The alexander savage raids are soloable on DPS but you need to be damn good + be geared up really well.
You can now solo them with SAM pretty easily. The only challenge is setting up to kill the 4th leg in 2 GCDs before Nisi judgement kills you.

U can do top 10 hardest mounts to farm after 6.5.5 release( after EXT legendary mount release)
I actually got Nightmare drop while just randomly doing Odin, and it didn't take me much tries too lol
deltascape 4 is soloable :) you can do it in war and possibly other tanks
I got carried for savage soul of the creator and in a single run I got the mount and the chest armor.
Didn't even know about the mount, I wanted the outfit.

I got the nightmare mount fast and when I rode it my FC mates were so shocked and I thought I had just gotten the usual horse mount I needed. I'm such an aloof person >.
Easiest way to get Nightmare mount is to farm Garuda EX since she's the fastest to kill of the three that drop it (Ifrit, Titan, Garuda)! Happy farming
Dude you missed a lot of mounts that are super easy to get solo.
Beast tribe mounts - just silly daily quests to build up reputation. Once it's high enough, you can buy lots of different mounts.
Rathalos extreme - easy to solo unsynced. Low drop rate but guaranteed a rathalos scale + on defeat if you severe his tail. You need 50 to buy the mount.
Diadem - farm in the diadem to get scrips. Its the easiest way to level up your gatherer skills and you get scrips when you gather the resources. There's a few mounts you can buy with these and it doesn't take long at all. You can also do the fates in the Firmamemt for this.
Cheap market place mounts - antelope stag, dhalmel, flying bed are fairly cheap to buy, especially the antelope stag.
Just buy them with real money - there are some cool mounts you can just buy with real money on the square Enix store and they're not expensive at all. I personally like Bennu
Conjurer level 30 you get a unicorn for free
Gold saucer - do the jackpots and challenges and theres a couple of mounts you can buy with MGP
Gold chocobo feathers - if you switch to a less populated server, you get 10 gold chocobo feathers. There a few mounts to choose from to buy with these. You also get gold chocobo feathers from recruiting a friend if they use your code when they buy a subscription.

tbh dont even need a tank to do ARR extremes, unsure on HW
You don't need to be a tank to solo the ARR and HW extremes. I got all those mounts as a lvl 80 white mage in ShB when that was the cap.
The biggest arse-pain is the Bismarck fight, which is scripted in a way that takes about 4 min per pull. Even as a low dps healer, the others were going down in less than a minute.
The pteranodon mount is the easiest to get . You just have to craft&gather some stuff for the firmament! Its that easy. The only req is you have to reach HW and complete some quest to unlock it

Didn't they remove the achievement vender and make it so you just collect the rewards from the menu
A lot of the achievement mounts are directly rewarded after achieving an achievement, but there is still a separate vendor that sell three mounts that can be exchanged with achievement tokens.
Nightmare i got lucky with the ifrit mount and got both after about 5 runs so about 10 minutes lol
There IS a level requirement for the achievement token mounts. If your not yet level 20, and thus have not yet gotten your chocobo, the ability to use mounts at all is not yet unlocked.
I was TROLLED HARD by a friend who convinced me to forget the MSQ and just grind for one of them as the fastest way to get a mount.

I'm having incredible trouble doing Burden of the Father as Reaper. If any commenters know how to do it, please help.
(If you are using DRK) The general idea is to use about half of your ogcds (most importantly, just one Shadowbringer not 2) on the first leg, full save on second, use some (2-3max) edge of darkness on the third leg. There is a way to prevent the adds that spawn on the 3rd leg but I usually just wait till they all spawn and kill them as fast as possible before finishing the 3rd leg. After that you kill the third leg, pop a strength potion which can bought from market board, and before the 4th leg is made available, 3-4 seconds before it spawn, pop salted earth beneath it and living shadow as well. Then as soon as it spawned, use everything on it. You still may not be able to kill it before you get one shorted for a couple of times but this is the general idea.
Nightmare is drop random after you get the fire wind and earth mounts
No it's not, I got it before the ifrit horse, those are just the only places you can get it

I did Garuda over and over (like 30 sek/round) for about half an hour to get the nightmare mount lol. Totally worth it
For MB mounts, recommend favoriting them.
