In 2006, an army of police officers gathered around a bank called Banco Rio in Acassuso, Argentina. They negotiated with some brave robbers inside for many hours.
The robbers had taken some people as hostages and asked the police to bring them pizza. This whole thing was shown on TV. Some snipers were also hiding in trees, ready to shoot if they needed to.
Finally, one of the robbers told the police they wanted to give up. But when the police went into the bank, they couldn't find any robbers. They had disappeared completely, taking about $20 million in cash and valuable things from the bank's safe boxes.
