I like this system and would contemplate buying it for my van but would say it would be a good idea if the legs could fold down when the bed is in storage mode.

I've been going back and forward on kombi bed options for a while and I think I'm going with forty winks after seeing this. I like the idea of having a bit of storage like the ovano or ply guys options but they seem like more of a faff to fit especially if keeping the ogm foam floor. Another good one is the wessex vans kpmbi bed but they're a fair bit more expensive and I like that the forty winks bed can be folded up to give you a bit more versatility without needing to fully remove the bed, decent price point too overall.

Forty Winks gets my vote. Well thought out, well engineers and a fair price as you say.

Would one of those tables that fits to the b pillar still work combined with some swivel front chairs so you could technically work in there too?

We're running the suspension now. We're waiting on a shorter spring as we want it a little lower.

Hi Andy ,I've ordered a 40 winks bed for my brand new t6.1 lwb highline swamper from van haven, can you keep the rear seats up and have the bed down or does the backs of the rear seats on a Lwb van needed to be folded over the same as in the Swb version. Many thanks 👍

I have the same question.. ☺️

On a LWB you don't need to fold the seats down. The mattress still full extends

Cheers Andy thats fantastic news ,I plan on removing my middle seat so I can leave the 2 outer seats in place then I can access the bed from the gap between the seats 👍

Hi guys, just wondering if this could be used if you have a single and double back seat as I've noticed single seat doesn't fold all the way down.

Hello, yes there is a 2+1 version on our website. You remove the single seat and the kombi bed has a pull out section to full the gap.

The Ovano is another great system that has an additional section and extra legs if you don't have a seat.

@@THQAutomotive so if the legs could pivot/hinge in situ like an elbow joint or ball and socket.
