Having watched the RM vs City game, some great goals but also a stand out performance from the ref. Why can't we have referees like that in the prem? No nonsense, firm with all the players, great to see for a change.
Because we insist of having English Refs who are probably bottom of the barrel when it comes to the worst referees in Europe, claim to have the best league in the world but we have Referees single handedly deciding matches week In week out with bad decisions and the second anyone questions them it’s a fine and a ban..

Foden is warming to the task and keeps improving with each game, City scored three good goals and Grealish could have had two as well. Madrid looked dangerous mainly due to City's mistakes, wheras the Manchester side we playing out from the back and creating chances. I think they will get into the box more next week with Bernardo and Grealish causing trouble and KDB for Kovacic will be good too.
Well City didnt create chances thats the thing. They scored three goals out of nothing, i believe i’ve seen their xG was below 1.00 . Madrid had more opportunities to score actually.

It's a penalty because Neuer in desperation kicked his leg out catching Saka. Saka had no way of knowing what Neuer was doing, he just jumped around Neuer, Neuer lunged in for the tackle and should've paid the price. If you watch the Neuer reaction to the penalty he looked 99% sure it was penalty.
Anyway what a performance by Saka, absolutely unbelievable, had Davies on toast, Saka ain't even that quick but absolutely bullied him

People need to just accept it's a controversial foul on Saka many would say it's a pen and many would say it's not a pen but the refs in general are what cause controversial decisions like this
well this is just wrong. The ref says it's not a foul and fans do not agree on whether it's a foul or not. So the ref does his job and decides. Controversy would mean the majority would agree it was a penalty and the ref wouldn't give it. This way it's just good refereeing

Will declare my arsenal bias upfront, but I really think Saka should have had a pen. The main point against is that he kicks out to create the contact - I think this is not correct, he’s changing the angle of his body to shield the ball and get a shot off. Also I don’t think it matters what Saka does with his legs to some extent since Neuer doesn’t play the ball and cuts his run off. My point there is if Saka appears to do something “more normal” with his legs, he will still get tripped up since Neuer body checks him, and he will always get the pen, in these circumstances I don’t think it’s fair to deny the pen for appearing to kick out.
