- Google has a new Android tablet for 2023, the Pixel Tablet. It’s an 11” standalone tablet that converts to a home hub using the includes charging speaker dock. The tablet has a QHD+ display, Google’s usual Tensor G2 processor, an aluminum casing and up to 256GB storage. It’s a new product category in a way, combining a high quality tablet and most of the capabilities of a Google Nest Hub Max into one $500 device. Hands down best reviewer ever, you helped me decide on my first laptop over a decade ago ❤
Hear hear!! Any PDA Buyer's Guide folks out there?
which laptop /.
I picked one up a couple weeks ago, and I'm really enjoying it so far!
Outstanding review, Lisa! You nail what so many other reviewers miss: All we want is solid information, well supported opinions, and minimal frills or flash. You're at the top of my tech reviewer list and have solidified my decision to pick this up instead of getting a second nest home max.
I like your straightforward reviews so I finally subscribed (what took me so long?). I was really tempted to purchase one of these but I knew the novelty would wear off soon, and I'm already invested in Amazon Echo devices.
You rock! Thanks for such an amazing review on something I've been eyeing up!
This lady helped me buy my laptop. I trust her over Marcus Brown or Linus tech tips any day.
theyre all snobs. oh wow this 500 tablet wont be very fast! sure lisa, go back to your 1500 ipad.
Who the hell is Marcus Brown?

Lisa is absolutely the best.
THEN SAY HER NAME
Long time fan and I just love that T shirt 👌 . Good luck to you 💕
Amazing review again Lisa!
This was a really helpful review, thanks!
1:45 Just FYI, TikTok on Pixel Tablet looks and works better than on iPads. Instagram too (iPad OS doesn't even have an Instagram app)
Got my pixel tablet already and love it!!!
Was there a blue light filter on the display 2:16 or is it not great at brightness/colour accuracy? The display looks washed out during the entire video
Is this replacing their google nest hub series???
Honestly considering the price this is an excellent first go at a pixel tablet, I'll wait for the next one but this is a promising start
Good video Lisa 👍
5:51 that’s pure insanity. I as well as everyone else assumed that the base will act as a fully functional chromecast speaker.
How does it compare to the other Android tablets
I thought about but I have Amazon Echos, Ring doorbell, and so on. So I got the Fire 11 Max tablet. If I had gone Google in the home probably would have got one.
does the tablet support stylus?
Good review. I was hoping for a better tablet from Google.
The 2nd version of this will be even more interesting
12inch Google Tablet Must be Awesome!!! 👍🏻😃👍🏻
When it's dock can it still be used as a regular tablet ? thanks
yes
Those t-shirts 😂😅👍
Best reviewer out there! She wears some of the coolest shirts ever!
Really like your way of reviewing tech. But not mentioning 60Hz screen is tough. This is a REAL DEAL-BREAKER for so many people waiting for the Google Tab!
Yer ,90hz would be enough for this product didn't have to be 120
Portland, JAMAICA in the Building!!!
Marquez Brownlee. Close.
I already have the pixel fold and it has changed my view on cell phones. Uhm, are you planning on covering the pixel fold for review? It's a bit ironic, because I already have the device. However, I want to watch your review 😢😢😢 I promise I'll watch it like 100 times with ads 💰
£600 in the UK so if you are not a home hub person then as easy pass especially with its lack of attachable keyboard and pen. Also, the speaker hub not being bluetooth was a shocking move. Google said it was to save money, but another $10 for that feature, few would have complained.
All-in-all a niche product which needs some big improvements in version two. With the Tab S9 likely to have OLED and 120Hz and be water-resistant with a better chip (SD8G2), pen and keyboard support, yet over here probably close in price (with the pre-order deals), you must really be a home hub fan to buy the Pixel instead!
No thanks I don't want the burn in
More Android!!!
Has anyone actually said "where is the tablet?" 🤔😉
It's a good idea for them to include the speaker dock, even though it would make more sense for it to be able to act as a smart speaker when the tablet isn't docked. The unfortunate part of the Pixel tablet for me is that Android tablet optimized apps are still few and far between. If you aren't interested in using the smart home dock features, then you would probably be better off with a more versatile iPad.
Ipad is definitely not more versatile (at least in this bracket) it is much better at what it does do tho
@@ThomasTheTankEngine22 When I said iPad is more versatile I meant it has more tablet apps available, which means it can do more things using those apps.
@@bonanzabrandon6877 you mean like tablet EXCLUSIVE apps?
@@ThomasTheTankEngine22 I mean tablet optimized apps, that have a user interface designed to take advantage the larger screen real estate.
IPad is apple eco system and the problems that come with it. Does not Integrate well with non apple and it's expensive
I have a Samsung tablet that I use daily
Why you should never buy a Google Pixel tablet if you own a Google Nest Hub Max.
It's unbelievable but true, Google has launched a tablet and taken a huge step backwards. With the new Pixel Tablet, some important functions are simply no longer available and Google is ignoring the comments in the communities.
Apart from the fact that the voice & command recognition is extremely poor, the tablet cannot be used as a Security Nest Cam, for example. Nor can it be integrated as a loudspeaker or connected to a Google Nest Doorbell. Furthermore, automations such as switching on radios at a certain time do not work.
It seems as if a tablet has been prematurely launched on the market at a massively overpriced price and is now being tested by the community. I much prefer the old Nest Hub to the useless tablet for supposed smart home control. I returned the tablet to the retailer with a 10% discount und kann zum jetztigen Zeitpunkt ein Wechsel vom Nest Hub auf ein Google Pixtel Tablet keinefalls empfehlen.
I think it's about $100 overpriced. If it goes on sale for $399 I'd consider it

Much more functional than the useless Google Hub, however, after using the Hub for years, I lost all interest in google products.

What shirt will you be wearing when you hit 1 million subs? Will you be making a special video just for that? Thanks for all your hard work!

One major problem its not an ipad.
I said it once and I'll say it again. I wouldn't touch a pixel with a stick.
