The rule is: for a minor song - go down one whole-step from the minor chord and play a major chord. I am using the simplest form of a chord here - triads. So here I am playing A Minor - G Major, back and forth. Pretty cool?

Thanks Robert. I've been doing a similar thing with an Am/Em progression on the G-B-E strings. Three voicings ascending from the 5th fret. I had meant to work this out on the D-G-B strings. You have already done the heavy lifting for me. Thanks.

I'm a beginner guitar player. This is the first time I've viewed one of your videos, I just happened to stumble across it and I'm glad I did. Your instructions are better than most guitar lessons on CZcams. I enjoyed the "SHORT" example of soloing using these chords, that opened up another approach for me. Would like to see more on soloing (full or Triad) chords.

Have to agree with you Robert.... triads surely help the melodic aspects of improvising. There are many different approaches too. Where you're starting with these diatonic triads and grouping them in "triad pairs" is a great introduction. Then, as I'm sure you're aware, there are SO MANY DIFFERENT CONCEPTS which can take one from basic to more advanced soundscapes. Thanks for your no B.S. lessons!!! Best regards from Montreal. - Glenn :-)
