Here we are harmonizing the G major scale with triads. This exercise with help you find triads from with a key (G in this case) up and down the neck. Practice this in different keys as well. Use a metronome or backing track.
The triads from the G Major scale are:
G - Am - Bm - C - D - Em - F#dim
You can play any of these triads if you are improvising with the G major scale. The same goes for E Aeolian (natural minor scale).

Inspiring teacher with excellent presentation. Thank you for your contributions, Mr. Renman.
Robert I’ve just found you on You Tube in the past month or so and I have to say you have inspired me to learn again after years of just couch playing guitar. I have been playing for the last 20 years didn’t play at all 20 years prior to and started at 6 years old played till I was around 22 years old. Started with lessons at age 6 went 3 times and became bored. All this to say thank you for your instruction and inspiration. Even though I’m now 62 years old I still feel like I’m in my 20s when I pick up the guitar. Thanks again.
For an old boy taking up relearning to play againg after 54 years it was informative and easy to follow and understand, thank you.

thanks for sharing. sending christmas gift for u,see u around
Are you using the KO plexi and pedal for this tone? Sounds lovely what ever it is.
Yes, the KO Plexi and 12th St Special overdrive pedal.
I'm a bit confused because when I play these exact triads over a G Major backing track it doesn't sound right. Sounds out of key.. am I doing something wrong?
Hey, by any chance, the high gain, tone, used on this video, comes out, of a: line 6 podh500? Please let me know. Thanks in advance
No it is from a KO Plexi amp: www.koamps.com
I REALLY, appreciated, thanks
Watched your video but why don't you provide the tab on screen in this video? Other guitar vids do without having to sighn up for anything.
i wish u had a tab to this
Your lesson would be more clear if you broke down the triads into their inversions i.e. G triad; GBD; BDG;DGB & then invert each one of those across all the strings up & down the neck. It was very pretty as is & you can add notes to make maj/mi 7ths & expand the rhythms. THANKS

What's the name of the guitar
Pls
Nice lesson.
Thank you. It's a Hagstrom Swede.
Robert Renman tks Rob. You're a great guitarist by the way in watching for years
Thank you. Mr. Renman my paying is pritty
Wish I could follow, it sounds great, but it seems you'd have to already Know the triads for this to make sense. " You've got to be able to find them". That's great!, But, HOW?
+Kirk Hilts Download the tab and follow along.
Please give me tap to understand clearly.
TRIADS IS WHERE ITS AT FRESHWATER
should play closely to canera...its too hard too see
Lesson is good but your Guitar is far away from camera I can't see the notes clearly
The chords for the above GM scale are not set up diatonically going from GM thru F# dim and back and forth; I,ii,iii,IV,V,vi & diminished. The triads should be directionally inverted & inverted within each. Don't misdirect the uninitiated. Sorry Rob, but your delivery is uncertain. Anthony
+Antonio Francesco what are you talking about? These are the triads from G major scale. The inversion of a triad makes no difference in its application and logic.
Garbage lesson. Not trying to be mean..but without mentioning any fret numbers and then randomly switching up your picking order as your showing the shaped in frustrating as hell. Anyone put up a video like this. It lacks so much I don't even know where to start
Its not a tutorial to play and just Say: Then I play F diminished triad"
A teatcher should tell us what that is. Wich fret and string and so on.
And also poorly filmning fr.o.m. A distans
Thanks Robert!
