I have been listening to it , for that is really helpful to me to hear it. I like a bit more before the end. I can say it is worth the listen or read. I had not heard of this book until I heard it from you gentlemen, thank you so much for this very meaningful book. God blessing to you all.
Allow me to point out that this discussion /seminar is very interesting. (Dr Sproul led me to check-out this Ligonier seminar.) But PP does not replace knowing and studying God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit intimately. His Word. HIs Nature. PProgress had indeed been valuable to me too a few years ago. But the Holy sPirit did speak to me in discernment.. He showed me that i was enjoying myself more in PP (which was such an amazingly deep and spiritual work) , and spending more time there than in HIS WORD.. a word of caution to all. HIS WORD is the only focus of the Jesus follower. Not literature written by man.
I definitely see your point of caution but there are many authors that have been able to help in my understanding of the bible. Being baptized in the Holy Spirit a couple years ago my bible reading has become much clearer and enjoyable. If you understand everything in the bible I tip my hat to you. God bless.
Read twice for the part 1 of Pilgrim's Progress, and one time for the part 2. I also plan to read both part once in every year, to continually remind myself to persevere in this Christian life.
@@elenif.vlachou9126 I read the Bible since 8 😊 And I am still continuing reading it, and finding comfort and discipline from it. I did not say that Pilgrim's Progress is God's breath. However, that book has also help me a lot, and motivate me to continue my Christian life, continue in my study of the Bible.
Lithos Kids have a wonderful children edition of the Pilgrim Progress, they have part 1 and 2. It is amazing for kids. Revelation Media also has the animated movie which it is also absolutely amazing, it came out in 2019. John Bunyan was an amazing writer, love the alegories he used. I miss Mr. RC Sproul, he was a wonderful teacher, preacher and story teller.
Pilgrims progress is the 2nd most powerful book ever. To me, i still believe it has the blessing of God on it.
It has been incredibly formative to my walk with the Lord. I agree it is the second greatest book ever written.
