If there's a ref involved there's ALWAYS mistakes that are blindingly obvious to everyone apart from the ref. VAR gives them an opportunity to correct their mistakes but they STILL stand by their decision. Just the fact that yellow cards are not appealable shows how screwed the system is. Yellow cards at this point are just random from game to game with no consistency. VAR would be a good system if referees weren't involved. Their whole attitude needs to change. Give them a license and put points on the license every time they screw up. Fine them, or whatever, but some sort of consequences might curb their mini god complex.
