I grew up driving a 77 Kombi van and my first 4x4 was a 4.2 naturally aspirated Landcruiser Troopie. Both are way slower than the Jimny 5 door so for me it's fine. If I want to go fast I'll buy a sports car or ride my GSXR1000.
I love 5 door
I still find the 3-door Jimny better. Niché market, that's where the Jimny's true character is.
This 5-door variant doesn't add much, is a bit overpriced too. You can get a proper 4x4 base variant for at least 300k less and from the top brands (Toyota, Ford, etc) with an actual differential lock.

Which is better, Conquest 4x2 at about 1.6M+ or Jimny 5 doors 4x4 at 1.7M? I really like the design of jimny but practicality and value wise for money tells me go for conquest. May need some advice please. 😅 thanks!

Yeah the design is good. But id rather get suv or pick up for this price. The new triton glx matic is 1.383m only compare to this 1.6m
The 3 door head unit is still far superior imo. Also, for the price bump, they could have added in diff lock which some base pickups already have. This is a TRUE 90's vitara successor guise under the Jimny name. 3 door still has more charm for my taste.
They could have at least put a turbocharger in there with the same engine. This would sell like hotcakes.
then it'd cost even more hahaha. but it's not that simple. the transmission and transfer case aren't capable of taking more torque, and there's no space to install a beefier transmission

coz people are still paying +200k over the SRP for the 3dr, so for the 5dr they integrated the +200k into the SRP. let's see if people will bite hehe

It's not about the specs bro. The jimny is a niche car, and a capable off-roader at that.
