World’s Most Dangerous Roads | The Road to Death in the Andes
George comes face-to-face with Bolivia's infamous Death Road (El Camino de la Muerte) or The North Yungas Road. With the road barely wide enough for two vehicles to pass and its terrifying sheer drops this 69 kilometers long stretch of winding road through the Andes mountain chain in Bolivia. It's considered the most dangerous road in the world and a popular tourist destination for mountain bikers. The road was constructed in the 1930s by Paraguayan prisoners during the Chaco War. The road climbs to 4650m above sea level at La Cumbre Pass. Then, it’s a continuous downward stretch toward the Amazon rainforest. If you look off the side of the road, you’re looking down at a 600m drop into the surrounding forest. The road links La Paz with Coroico, a small town at the entrance of the Amazon rainforest.

Honestly agreed. The travel vloggers who feature this road are 8f anything promoting its usage. The more traffic this road gets, the more degradation it takes on.

I was so nervous watching this video. I am glad you made it out alive. I think that people shouldn't risk their lives on those roads. The government should make sure the roads are safe. On the other hand the roads are dealing with mother nature. I am hoping you make the video in the Amazon. I can't wait to see more videos. You make the most interesting videos.

One time, we were heading to perform Mass in B Minor at a mountain top monastery in Slovenia. The view was amazing, we could see into Italy from there. But I hated getting up there and having to go down again afterwards. But enjoyed the singing.

Yeah this is too sensational. There are way more dangerous roads in Bolivia,but rhey are not trafficked by people like tourists, so they dont result in as many deaths. Also, there is a perfectly functional paved road on the other side of the valley. Absolutely no reason to go here.
