I am a bit of a collector and I received a two tone, blue face Invicta grand diver, as a gift 7 years ago. It is a very good watch, automatic, solid ,well made and reliable. I have a couple of ,"luxury" watches in my collection and straight fact, I have received just as many compliments on the Invicta as I do on the "respectable" brands. Thank you for this video as it shows that the Invicta diver is a decent watch. Snobs are snobs, whether it's watches, guitars, vinyl whatever, I personally don't find snobs as fascinating as they find themselves. Thanks sir, I am now a subscriber. Be well

I have a Pro Diver and it has never let me down. Wear it quite a bit and it keeps great time. If it gets submerged it keeps on going. I found mine at a TJ Maxx and thought it looked cool. I was completely new to watches and didn’t even know it was a Submariner homage (seriously, I was that new. I had only bought watches from Wal Mart because that is what I could afford.). Several years on and with many quite expensive watches in my collection, I still like the Pro Diver.
You have a good review and I will check out your channel. Peace.

I bought one of these back in 2010 with the original Myota movement. Over the years, I've worn it to the beach, to work, the gym, the pool, doing yard work....etc. Watch never leaked and still keeps great time. So yeah, this watch is definitely worth the money!!!!

I would be a member of this club, too. I probably have 8 or 9 watches although I am mostly wearing my Samsung Watch 3 these days. While I like it, kinda makes me sad that I don’t get to wear the others much in order to get the most out of the Samsung. I am a big fan of Fossil so definitely not the most expensive watches. I probably won’t get another smart watch so I can go back to wearing the others in rotation again.

i have an Invicta pro diver model 3824 with the 26 jewel automatic, solid end links, sapphire crystal. Have had this watch roughly 15-17 years and boy it has been through some hard times yet to this day it still runs darn near chronometer specs even though it's not a chronometer. Great watches in my opinion especially for the $500 ish that i paid for it. Even have a newer one and for the money (roughly $90) you can beat the crap out of it and not get sick to the stomach if you happen to break it. All in all i own nearly a dozen Invictas just love the value and overall quality.

I bought my pro driver (stainless and black…not one of the “colored” ones) about 10 years ago. I’ll go for periods of time (few months) wearing the hell out of it and then mothballing it for another watch…again, usually a few months at a time. This pro diver never, ever let me down. I sized it to be a little “sloppy” on my wrist…just like it casual like that. Not sure if they make these styles anymore, but, mine came with a Swiss sellita sw200 movement in it. The rotor swing weight is not yellow. It looks matte grey color. The rest of the movement looks kinda like a brass color? On the edge of the screw down case lid it says Swiss movement, model 9937, and “flame fusion crystal”. I’ll NEVER get rid of this thing. I need to silicone lube the stem and oring on back cover, though.

  • @johnfletcher7798

I agree that they look great, BUT, if only the product was any good and they had even a tiny bit of after sales service. I have had 2 Pro diver watches. The first was an automatic and was fine for swimming, but it lost nearly 5 minutes a day. Very annoying, but bearable.
So when it started getting a bit sad looking, I thought I'd get one that looked the same, but a battery model, which should keep good time. Unfortunately not all Pro diver watches are waterproof. It filled up with salt water and by the time I got the water dried out, there were salt crystals left under the glass. On contacting the company's warranty department (which was a lot harder than it should have been) I got these exact words as the response:
"Unfortunately, Invicta's watches are not sold as waterproof watches. They are simply sold as water resistant dive watches. During the use of a dive watch for diving, the watch will be under a constant static pressure which is what its rated and tested at as well. Swimming with a watch on causes large amounts of pressure to come into contact with your watch, which it was not rated for".
So, there you have it. A dive watch that you can't swim in and the biggest load of crap I've ever heard! I eventually got adifferent department to offer me another watch, but when I chose one from the models offered, they disappeared, never to be able to contact them again. I sent the email to the only 3 email addresses that I could find for them and could not get a response.
So to all you prospective buyers. If you want a good looking watch, they're fine. But if you plan on getting it wet or wanting an automatice to keep good time, buy something else.

  • @magnumss

That Invicta diver watch with the blue face (submariner) is a beautiful watch. I've always loved the look of the Rolex submariner just never loved the price nor would I pay that for a watch, I think that's totally ridiculous and absurd. Thanks to Invicta I can get the exact same beautiful watch for less than a fraction of a Rolex with the benefit of an automatic movement. I realize that Rolex uses different jewels in their timepieces but I think invitica shows when it comes to Rolex a fool and his money so easily part. They both look identical, both have automatic movement with Invicta using synthetic jewels compared to Rolex using different, both waterproof with Rolex going 100 meters deeper than Invicta (wow, still doesn't justify the $8,000+ price tag).
In all fairness if you took the branding off both watches set them side by side very few people will be able to tell the difference between the two because it is so minute. I don't need the name ROLEX to be on my wrist for me to leave my house and feel good about it, im just fine with Invicta. I like the look of the timepiece ... the name is irrelevant as far as I'm concerned. In short both are beautiful timepieces obviously with one grossly overpriced for the fools ... and there's one born every minute so Rolex will be around for a very long time 👍

One watch, the winding stem can wobble around when you have it unscrewed for winding, etc., the three others are perfect. In 2007 (08?) I bought my first Invicta quartz diver at Costco on an impulse because they were $50. The movement died on me and I bought a similar model slightly smaller quartz at Amazon for $65. It is OK and I get compliments on non-watch aficionados. But n the last year, I started following ex-pat Scotsman Jody on his Just One More Watch (and Teddy Baldassare and Urban Gentry too) channels which have really educated me. Now I'm not sure if I would buy Invicta again. You can get a Pagani Design automatic for about $75-85 which is better value, quality, and design. These days, in the sub $100 Submariner homage category, there are a lot of pretty good choices out there that don't have that garish Invicta branding on the side of the case. Steeldive, Cadisen, Loreo, Pagani Design, Seestern, Timex, Chronos and San Martin (on the higher end) are ones to consider. I rather fancy a Pagani Design for my money.

Don't waste your $80. I just got one. It keeps great time but that's about it. It weighs a ton and there's like zero luminescence. It sits pretty large on my wrist too. It's like 46mm from across to either end of band. I'd probably be content with it if there was luminescence to speak of. Oh, it's supposed to time hack but that's not there either.

Righteous review! Got the black variant some years ago and agree on everything you point out here. Not on the bracelet, though. It's not doing any good to the watch, imho. I wear it on a black rubber strap instead, or on a NATO - which kind of enlarges the watch in a pleasant way, I think. Keep it up, man - great channel 👍!

I have a couple of Invicta watches, one is a pro diver that is Swiss made. I think I paid just under $200 for it and it is a 50 mm. Really hard to beat for the money. Good luck with the new channel, been following you on CAM since your earliest videos. Just subscribed here.

Enjoy your channel a lot. I do wish the band was all brushed. Sometimes, the polished row on the band looks too bright, almost fake. But I love the case back, the crown. I see some other options with the jubilee bracelet but maybe not as good as the one you have here.

I’d highly recommend you looking at the 1953 variant of the Pro Diver. It’s become my favorite version, not just because I like the cleaner vintage look, but the quality feels better. Especially with the crown and how it feels when adjusting the time.

CAM fan liking the new channel even though I'm really not a watch guy. We seem to have similar taste, appreciation of quality for value, and attitude about perceptions of others (couldn't care less). I was volunteering in a high school class one time for an industry teach-in and one of the students noticed my watch and asked me how much it cost. Flattered that I at my age I was still cool enough to receive such a complimentary inquiry, I enthusiastically responded $35 at JC Penney ... it was an Armitron that caught my eye that happened to be on sale. It looked expensive but it wasn't. I've also toyed with a few of the mega cheap brands on Amazon like Curren, no complaints. Perhaps my standards are way too low but I do appreciate a good looking watch. Any experience with OLEVS? Was searching around after seeing this video and stumbled across this one. Doesn't seem to have a model number, but here is the title of the listing "OLEVS Mens Watches Automatic Original Mechanical Movement Slef-Wind Six-pin Luxury Stainless Steel Waterproof HD Luminous Day-Date-Month Big Face Wrist Watch Gift"

Good video, Randy! Invicta Pro Divers are pretty good watches for the money, and they're mechanical automatics! I have a bunch of them in almost every color they make (all Miyota movements). The Invicta madness started on ShopNBC when they had a shopping channel on cable TV, back in early 2000s. Most of my watches are Invicta, with some Seikos, Citizens, and Heuers (pre-TAG). I have about 75 of them. My first watch as a 5-year old was a Timex Hop-a-long Cassidy watch; ever since then, I always wore a watch................
