Nice presentation. I got this watch about two years ago. When trying it on I had a silly grin on my face and I knew this is it. If I had to choose, it still is my favourite watch. Enjoy yours!
When I was thinking about going orange, the luminox Pacific diver was the one that caught my eye. The Bulova is nice too.

Fantastic review! I’ve seen a few of these on CZcams, a great looking watch and that orange dial is gorgeous!
I’ve had this exact watch for two years …. Full of 1970’s retro goodness … super comfortable on a 7” wrist and surprisingly accurate for a movement which gets slated …. The strap is perfect so never felt the need to change and the indices glow in such a lovely manner….. perfect summer / holiday watch which always makes me smile 😊

Great review I also approve of the use of the words " I like" which is a subjective opinion rather than "is better" which would be an objective fact, and could easily be disputed on a number of grounds .

i think orange is the nr 1 dive colour i got the same watch and i love it ... if you hold it in you hand and you feel it and you see the little cristal yem things on the dail you understand it !! great watch..
The devil diver always steals the show. I have one and it gets a lot of wrist time.
I’m not into high polish and bright colors. Yet, this one is very appealing. That watch face is pretty awesome. I’ve been wearing my bronze Glycine Combat Sub nonstop for several months now. It is hands down my favorite.
Have you ever looked into Protek watches? They’re T100 tritium, so the 1/2 life on the glow viles is about 12 years. I have the titanium “field master”. It glows orange at the 12, green at 3, 6, and 9 and the rest are blue. The hands glow green and blue. Beautiful at night for $500.

It just seems like another overpriced watch to me. A $500 dollar watch with a glorified Miyota 8215 movement seems crazy to me. I'd expect at least a Miyota 9015/39 for that price. But hey, Rolex and Seiko is even more overpriced, so good on Bulova for not being as bad as them. And I mean, if you can easily afford it, then the price doesn't really matter. All that matters is that you enjoy it.

I own 2 Rolexes, 3 Omegas, and an IWC but my favourite GADA is a $250 Paulson pearl diver Titanium beater.
I'd been stalking these one for years. Finally, I pulled the trigger when the price went down to 370 USD. It's been two months now, and it can't leave my wrist. I really love it, despite the fact that mine is non-hacking and the rotor is a bit too loud for my taste ;)
It’s great when you wear a watch and just find yourself just looking at it for no reason whatsoever but just to look at it. I know when I do that it’s a keeper. Love the dial and cushion case and the 666 feet text. Thanks for a great review.

I have the devil diver its a great watch, but there is no way in hell is better in quality, movement, build quality etc. than my Rolex, Tudor, Citizen etc. Good review of the watch though.
I'm actually wearing my orange dial Orient Ray Raven II watching this. I like this Bulova.

That the way I feel about my Momentum Sea Quartz 30 - I just keep wearing it in preference to all my others! Maybe check one out if you get chance ;-)
I own the black & red variant and simply love it! I change the strap between rubber and NATO straps often. I appreciate the fact it is simply a Bulova dive watch.
I have never been disappointed since I became a customer of amzwatch. Their watches are of exceptional quality.
19mm strap is the deal breaker for me. Anything under 20mm is too dainty for me. The watch ends up looking like a salt potato on a string on my wrist. As a brand, I dig Bulova, but I still haven’t found the right one. Oh yeah - very well done with the video.

I’ve done something similar with reviews I’ve made on my instagram page. One of my jobs is teaching and managing a swim lesson program. So I’m in a pool a lot. So I have been giving my opinions of the different dive watches I have, after actually wearing them in water for extended periods of time.
I subscribed off the back of this great review. As it happens I like functional dive watches of this style and really don't like this watch. 😂 That said, I am looking forward to more of your takes.

IMO regarding the price of watches ("there are"some lower-priced watches, that are equally/ better looking than some costing 5x, 10x etc. more). As an ex-audiophile/ fool, I found the same applies to various lower priced Stereo Equipment.

I love that you love it. I wasn’t interested buying one as soon as I saw the dial (no offense at all, orange is just very loud for me). I watched all the way through simply because it’s refreshing to see someone truly happy with and passionate about a watch rather than the name on a watch.

Loving your work man, and the bulova is cool , I'm always drawn to watches that show some originality like the devil diver, as you say its not trying to homage anything and it shows you don't have to spend a fortune to get a nice watch, cheers.

I love Bulova. Have the 43mm Lunar Pilot and Precisionist. I want the blue/orange Devil Diver and the parking meter. Also love my Seiko Flightmaster and Zodiac Grand Rally chronograph can't forget the Islander/TGV Rangemaster 😎👍

I like the watch's look and would buy one if not for the 19mm lug width. I have a watch with 21mm lugs and although I love it, I will never buy another watch with an odd lug width.

Why is the name of your channel still called the "Cheap Watch Man?! You have clearly moved on to higher end watches and the name no longer really applies. I'm sure it's very confusing to new viewers tuning in. I guess maybe it's kind of hard to change the name now but it clearly doesn't fit anymore.

I agree. As a new(ish) viewer I was baffled by the name. The dude is a luxury watch guy - there is nothing cheap about the watches he wears himself - they aren’t even affordable. Smacks of a dude trying to show that his bank balance is so awesome that omega and Tudor and Rolex are ‘cheap’ to him. Bulova is like a happy meal price. Fair enough - but slightly out of touch with real world.

I love it but at 41mm, the case is just too big. The original was under 40mm and 39mm is my sweet spot. I wish Bulova made this in two sizes, and I loathe the fact that their women's watches are nothing but a bunch of frilly diamond ensconced schlock. Why do they think women don't want a real dive watch?

@@donnowak4304 To someone who's 6 feet tall or has large wrists then 41mm is fine but if you're 5'7" then 41mm is pretty large. The original Devil Diver had a case width of 37mm and a lug to lug of 44. Initially, it wasn't an automatic and so it was about 11mm thick. Anyway, a real dive watch that's smaller would be a nice option.

I don’t follow what’s going on with Bulova right now. Like since forever when Citizen bought them the vast majority of their watches are overpriced cheap quartz dress watches (with the exception of their uhf lines) with no sapphire crystal and horrible lume and cheap citizen movements. Now it seems they’re having their moment where people are wanting them. I dunno. Each to their own.

I would buy this watch if it didn’t have the 666 on it. It’s just too edgy and lame for my taste. I held one and was surprised how solid and well built it felt, really reminded me of the feel of my Omega.

Just a quick heads up on this Chinese Bulova "vintage remake" a giveaway is every Grey blob set on the 5 minute markers is paying tribute to the original high radiation tritium used on the original dial, however get a Geiger counter & make sure you end up with penile cancer like this Genius will end up with, and of course he's a Joma shop affiliate so that's he makes his small amount of $$ lying to everyone. & no he doesn't own a Rolex, Tudor or any actually well made time piece that watch loving fans have actual respect for.
