Israel’s Far-Right Government is a Gift to Settlers

  • In December 2022, Israel elected the most far-right government in its history, one that has stated that expanding settlements is its top priority. That’s left Palestinians fearful of a widespread land-grab by settlers and more violence in the occupied West Bank.

The History of the imaginary Palestinian state:

      2. Before the British Mandate, it was the Ottoman Empire, not a Palestinian state.
      3. Before the Ottoman Empire Was the Islamic State of the Mamluks of Egypt, not a Palestinian state.
      4. Before the Islamic State of the Mamluks from Egypt, the Arab-Kurdish Empire was the Ayyubid, not a Palestinian state.
      5. Before the Ayyubid Empire was the Frankish and Christian Kingdom of Jerusalem, not a Palestinian state.
      6. Before the Kingdom of Jerusalem was the Umayyad and Fatimid empire, not a Palestinian state.
      7. Before the Umayyad and Fatimid empires, the Byzantine Empire was not a Palestinian state.
      8. Before the Byzantine Empire, there were Sassanids, not a Palestinian state. 9. Before the Sassanid Empire was the Byzantine Empire, not a Palestinian state.
      10. Before the Byzantine Empire was the Roman Empire, not a Palestinian state.
      11. Before the Roman Empire it was a Hasmonean state, not a Palestinian state.
      12. Before the Hasmonean state was the Seleucid, not a Palestinian state.
      13. Before the Seleucid Empire was the Empire of Alexander, not a Palestinian state.
      14. Before Alexander's empire it was the Persian Empire, not a Palestinian state.
      15. Before the Persian Empire was the Babylonian Empire, not a Palestinian state.
      16. Before the Babylonian Empire were the kingdoms of Israel and Judah, not a Palestinian state.
      17. Before the kingdoms of Israel and Judah, there was no kingdom of Israel in the kingdom of Israel, not a Palestinian state.
      18. Before the Kingdom of Israel, the theocracy of the twelve tribes of Israel was not a Palestinian state.
      19. Before the theocracy of the twelve tribes of Israel, there was an accumulation of independent Canaanite city-kingdoms, not a Palestinian state. 20. In fact, in this plot of land kingdoms fell and fell .. But there was never a Palestinian state or a people.!@##
The Palestinians are Arabs and Arabs came from the Arabian Peninsula, they are indigenous to the Arabian Peninsula .
It is pure propaganda to claim that Arabs are native to Palestine or that the Palestinians are not Arabs.!@#

what do you call these imaginary people who have been living over generations in that land?
      1. It's not an empty land, just sitting there for you to take. There were people living there.
      2. You took their land, using ancient Jewish history over 1400 years ago as justification.
      3. Killing and pushing 700,000 natives from their land to accomodate one million people who were migrating to Israel from all over the world (more than half of them were from Europe, post WW2).
      4. Relentlessly invading, opressing, and halting their basic rights for over decades... and still have the audacity to be angry when there's resistance from the Palestinians.
I still can't comprehend why these Arabs have less right and can't live in Arabs land, Middle Easterners can't live in the Middle Eastern, while these people who came and colonizing the land in modern times can justify their colonization using Ancient people who lived there 1400 years ago.
You must be aware that these ancient people have been pretty much dead over thousand years, right? Do you know how feeble and flimsy this reasoning is for us, outsiders, who are watching this destruction and disaster?

And after all this the authorities do nothing. So you decide to use force to evict me.
I get hurt. Now all of a sudden the whole international community is alarmed and says you went too far and threaten action. But where were they when I occupied your home?
IDK man this really isn't all that nuanced. War crimes are horrible and yet a forseeable consequence of decades of radicalization by Israeli policy.
Most of us would prefer a 2 state solution but it seems that Israel won't be satisfied until it has the entire pie, and Palestine has long since stopped believing illusions of peaceful coexistence if indeed there ever was one. Yet this outcome was a consequence of the Israeli administration.
In a perfect world the following would occur:
    1) Israel stops encroaching on Palestinian land and blockading them, beating protesters
    2) Palestine ceases to be radicalized, no more violence toward Israeli civilians
    3) War criminals on both sides are tried and punished by a neutral judicial body
    4) Both governments act in good faith to create building blocks for future peace and coexistence
Unfortunately it seems steps 1 and 2 will never happen so it's just all going down a shitter and now Israel has the full sanction of the western nations to go scorched earth just as they intended in the first place.
It's a humanitarian crisis and the whole world is treating the affair like a sporting event.

Years ago I watched a documentary filmed in Israel about Israel and its long history with Palestine.
A group of elderly gentlemen were part of a group who were a government backed and funded militia who said they were the first to use suicide bombers in the Middle East, They talked and gave their stories while sitting at an open cafe in the street while catching up they admitted Israel was the first to use this against the Palestinians.
Israel never wants peace as the more there is conflict the more control they will have and Israel wants the land in the West Bank.
Israel is the first to quote the UN but then defies the UN on settlement policy.
America needs to stop funding Israel
Israel then needs to be held to account for thousands of deaths of unarmed ppl.
In Australia on the ABC many years ago there was a documentary and a Palestinian man showed ABC journalist around the West Bank and showed him his home the man was guide for reporters 1-2 weeks after showing the reporter and his crew around a missile hit his house killing 26 family members !
This man cried and said what was he supposed to do !
He said he never was involved in armed conflict or he did was act as a guide yet he was targeted to send a message !

Israel is renowned for its advanced and innovative defense systems, which are designed to protect the nation and its citizens from various threats. Here are some notable Israeli defense systems:
Iron Dome: The Iron Dome is a highly effective missile defense system developed by Israel. It is designed to intercept and destroy short-range rockets and artillery shells launched from distances of up to 70 kilometers. The system utilizes advanced radar and missile interceptor technologies to track and neutralize incoming projectiles.
David's Sling: David's Sling is an advanced air defense system developed by Israel in collaboration with the United States. It is designed to intercept medium-range rockets and ballistic missiles. The system incorporates radar detection, target tracking, and interception capabilities to neutralize threats at extended ranges.
Arrow Missile Defense System: The Arrow missile defense system is a collaboration between Israel and the United States. It is designed to intercept and destroy long-range ballistic missiles. The system combines powerful radar systems, interceptor missiles, and advanced command and control infrastructure to provide a multi-layered defense against ballistic missile threats.
Trophy Active Protection System: The Trophy Active Protection System is designed to protect armored vehicles from anti-tank missiles and rocket-propelled grenades. It employs radar detection and tracking to identify and neutralize incoming threats by launching countermeasures, thereby minimizing the impact on the vehicle and its occupants.
Barak Missile Defense System: The Barak missile defense system is primarily used for naval defense. It provides protection against a variety of airborne threats, including anti-ship missiles, aircraft, and unmanned aerial vehicles. The system utilizes advanced radar, command, and control capabilities, along with vertically-launched interceptor missiles, to safeguard naval vessels.
These defense systems demonstrate Israel's commitment to developing cutting-edge technologies to ensure the nation's security. Israeli defense systems have garnered international recognition for their effectiveness and have been deployed both domestically and in collaboration with other nations, contributing to global security efforts.
Why would an "oppressing" country invest in developing defense systems? Anti-Israel propaganda often influences individuals who may not have received a comprehensive education in mathematics and logic.

Military Training Simulators: Israeli companies have developed advanced military training simulators that provide realistic and immersive training experiences for soldiers. These simulators help improve tactical skills, decision-making abilities, and mission readiness.
Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Technologies: Israel has made significant advancements in ISR technologies. This includes the development of advanced sensors, intelligence analysis software, and surveillance platforms for military intelligence gathering and situational awareness.
These examples highlight some of the innovative military technologies developed by Israel that go beyond traditional defense systems. It demonstrates Israel's commitment to research and development in various military domains to enhance military capabilities, improve soldier effectiveness, and optimize operational outcomes.
Do you still believe that Israel is the right choice of enemy for Palestinian terrorists from Hamas, Islamic Jihad, or Hezbollah to fight against, considering their unrealistic goals?
Arab countries have collectively tried to oppose Israel in the past, but they faced defeats and lost territories in 1948, 1967, and 1973.
In 2023, it may be time for them to reconsider their objectives.

You shouldn't in all honesty, the people of Palestine try to tell a story where they are opressed, and all they want is to live side by side in their own state and sing kombaya
History has thought us that it isn't the case, having their own country and improving their lives is a 2nd priority to them, the first priority is killing Israelis, or at the very least, destroying Israel
Here is a list of peace offers which would grant the Palestinians a country of their own, they refused all of them
Can't make peace with someone who's identity revolves around killing you
      1937 - Peel commission, rejected
      1947 - Partition resolution, rejected
      2000 - Camp David, rejected
2001 - Taba, rejected. Arafat starts the second intifada and a year later changes his mind.
      2008 - Olmert offer, rejected
Here are some other noteworthy peace meeting or proposals from Israel to the rest if the Arab world, which were rejected
1919: Arabs of Palestine refused nominate representatives to the Paris Peace Conference.
1920: San Remo conference decisions, rejected.
1922: League of Nations decisions, rejected.
1937: Peel Commission partition proposal, rejected.
      1938: Woodhead partition proposal, rejected
1947: UN General Assembly partition proposal (UNGAR 181), rejected.
1949: Israel's outstretched hand for peace (UNGAR 194), rejected.
1967: Israel's outstretched hand for peace (UNSCR 242), rejected.
1978: Begin/Sa’adat peace proposal, rejected (except for Egypt).
1994: Rabin/Hussein peace agreement, rejected by the rest of the Arab League (except for Egypt).
      1995: Rabin's Contour-for-Peace, rejected.
      2000: Barak/Clinton peace offer, rejected.
2001: Barak’s offer at Taba, rejected.
2005: Sharon's peace gesture, withdrawal from Gaza, rejected.
      2008: Olmert/Bush peace offer, rejected.
2009 to 2021: Netanyahu's repeated invitations to peace talks, rejected.
      2014: Kerry's Contour-for-Peace, rejected.
Not gonna link Trump's imbecilic peace plan as an example.

Modern Palestinians came from other Arab lands and are actively destroying or hiding Jewish heritage sites that are thousands of years old. Except, it's not given to them by man, it's by God that it is their land. This is truly sad I admit I’m not the well versed in this situation but have been doing my own research since this recent incident and I see both sides but this land grabbing thing by using god as a excuse is crazy. Hammas are terrorists and do horrible things that shouldn’t be tolerated but so does the ISF. Obviously now it’s gonna be almost impossible to solve this problem since almost 500,000 settlers have moved into the West Bank making it hard for Palestinians to ever have a full independent government there. A solution i would think may work is giving Palestine the right to self govern and control there borders hold off and letting Palestine build up a military and give them a probationary period where the independently govern themselves and control things within there boarders and if that goes well then they can speak on the possibility of a government. Wish the world would stop seeing through one eye since I was believing what I was seeing on the media thinking Israeli people were going through the worst of it but after this I realize what’s happening in Gaza is basically a genocide

At this point, I don't think Israel will ever move towards giving Palestinians the same rights. Just seeing how the IDF terrorizes the Palestinians, it's an obvious tactic to break down their will to fight. An established Palestine is their greatest fear. That's why their peaceful protests is are met by violence and propaganda is aimed to paint them as plain old terrorists with no motivation but to kill Jewish people.

Fair play for covering this so impartially. The mainstream channels are too afraid to report fairly on Israel, and most people in the media or public eye dare not say anything about Israel for fear of being labelled anti-Semitic. It is grotesque and wrong, and I'm guessing no one's God think it can be right to treat others the way Palestinians have been treated by Israel. Being from Ireland, I'm very proud that we stand beside Palestine, as we know what it is to be treated like this. Ireland was also one of the first countries to fight against apartheid in South Africa, and we were called terrorists then too. Good work Vice. Hopefully more of the media follow suit not just on this subject but the many other injustices that powerful countries commit on weaker countries every hour of every day.

I think what convinced me is that the Israeli govt is not following its own rule of law. Illegal settlements should be persecuted with the same vigor as a activist flinging stones at patrols.
The peoples being governed should have a fair input into the laws, policies etc that are in place to govern them and system to have their grievances addressed.
Anything less and you are in the role of an oppressor looking for any pretext to mistreat and subjugate

    • @jessereichbach588
      @jessereichbach588 Před 9 měsíci +10

@@jaws978 But "Palestinians" have no citizenship to any nation. Palestine has yet to be ratified as an actual sovereign nation. Which is part of the problem. And which is why no matter what they might think or feel, the international community really feckless to do anything. And that is because Palestinians refused to ratify because they specifically want Jerusalem. So instead of making their capitol say, anywhere else in the West Bank, the continue to fight over Jerusalem.
Which is a religious agenda, nothing to do with the people on the ground. They want Jerusalem because of Islam.
Jerusalem has never been the capitol of any state named Palestine before, or any Muslim state. And it is not the capitol of Israel because of Judaism. It's the capitol fo Israel because it was historically the capitol of united Israel and then Judah.
Regardless of if it would be the capitol of a Palestinian nation or not, it would remain a holy city in Islam, just like it is in Christianity and Judaism.
But they have outright refused at nearly every opportunity, or Israel has because they want Jerusalem for religious purposes. Because they are and have been used by the broader radical Islamic fundamentalist cause since 1967 now. Their leadership gets their riches form places like Iran and Syria.
But if they had just been willing to make the capitol in say Hebron, today Palestine would be a fully functional, operational and ratified nation. But it's not. It's still technically a territory. Like it ALWAYS has been.
The "Palestinian" identity is that of a national movement for an Islamic state. That's when this identity was created and why it was created between 1947 and 1967.
So we are not talking about an ethnic community with a country or unique culture. We are not talking about a ratified and sovereign nation. Just a recognized territory.
As far as I know, they have every right of every other non citizen in the region.

When Ben Gvir says “most Israelis don’t want a government with Abbas” he is referring to Mansour Abbas, not Mahmoud Abbas (the Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority).Mansour Abbas is the leader of one of the major Palestinian-Arab parties in the Israeli parliament. He served in the last ruiling coalition where he made history as the first leader of an Arab party to do so since the founding of the state of Israel.

Of course the Arabs want to come and claim it from the Israelis. Israelis make things. Arabs seem to only want to destroy. The entire Arab race has been trying to exterminate the Israelis since they came back to Israel and they still can't do it. Perhaps the Arab should look to one of the millions of square miles and trillions of dollars of oil wealth in one of the many Arabic lands. Go and live in peace, justice, and prosperity in Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, or Iran. Tend to the beam in your own eye. Then you shall see more clearly to tend to the mote in your brother's eye.
