Ecoboost resonator delete 2.7 (install, revs, drive, review)

This was not a direct replacement like I was informed I had to add about a 12inch 2.5 piece of pipe to work properly
All in I only had about $50 in it which is half the cost of any res delete on the market.

Everyone that keep saying delete the suitcase muffler. If you like rasp and loud v6 engines noise go for it but All you hear is rasp under load…
HANDS DOWN BEST SOUND COMBO!
1. SPD catted down pipe (can do turbo adapters with that)
2. Cold air Instake
3. Resonator delete
4. If you put like blow off noise (turbo smart BOV)
Leave the stock muffler. Cold starts sound like a diesel. All turbo noise when you get on it won’t rasp like these shitty muffler. Also won’t be too loud.

good review! I think I figured out what went wrong. You deleted the designator. Shoulda deleted the resonator. Lol. I’m about to do this to my wife’s Atlas. It has an N/A VR6. It seems to make a big difference on the Atlas. I probably won’t bother doing it to my 2.7

I think deleting that resonator and install with borla atak maybe will change the sound i check AT on that borla atak on 2.7 it’s sound pretty good.

If I was going to delete a single piece of the exhaust, I'd go with the suitcase muffler, not the smaller resonator, which is specifically engineered to cancel resonance, aka drone that everyone hates.. Juan my 2¢

@@3guysgarage is just me or does the factory valve vta sound pretty dang good ? I break necks with my truck when I “spool it up” and intentionally chop the throttle.. my intake from red rock 4x4 tho sounds amazing with the vta .. truck otherwise has a fire performance reflash and that’s it aside from some exterior mods like bed cover ,leds, rain guards.. can’t wait to chop my res and muffler .. I have a welder so I could just hit both .. but I’m really wanting to just remove the res back and clamp on a piece stepping to 3 inch straight out infront of the rear tire .. that way if wanted I can go back to stock .. likely going to buy ams turbo outlets and weld up my own 3 inch down pipes v banded to an aluminum x pipe dumped before the rear tires .. if it’s too loud or raspy I’ll add a vibrant straight thru “straight pipe muffler “ to each side .. the aluminum piping helps a ton with the rasp in my experience.. my drag bike has steel head tubes /collector and outlet to an aluminum 5 inch outlet mega phone and it’s loud but tolerable imo because it doesn’t sound like shit lol

Sound never changed like 1/10 at idle and that was it. If you pay for the pipe to be shipped I still have it.
