  • Here's a fun promo for Larry Lujack and his "Animal Stories" with Little Tommy mornings on WLS Musicradio 89.
These were the glory days of Chicago Radio. :-)
Note: This is to replace an earlier, now broken (unplayable) video posting, preserved as an unlisted video here to save the original comments: • WLS Musicradio 89 - La... )
This aired on local Chicago TV on Friday, March 5th 1982 during the 10:00pm to 10:30pm timeframe. (ad originally aired in 1980 - the previous broken video mentioned above is from that date. The ads are identical however - nothing was changed)
About The Museum of Classic Chicago Television:
The MCCTv (FuzzyMemoriesTV) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose primary mission is the preservation and display of off-air, early home videotape recordings (70s to early 80s, mostly) recorded off of TV (in Chicago or other cities now too); things which would likely be lost if not sought out and preserved digitally. If you have any old 1970s videotapes recorded off of TV please email: tapes@fuzzy.tv Even though (mostly) short clips are displayed here, we preserve the entire broadcasts in our archives - the complete programs with breaks (or however much is present on the tape), for historical preservation. For information on how to help in our mission, to donate or lend tapes to be converted to digital, please e-mail tapes@fuzzy.tv Thank you for your help!

Listened to them in the 90s, and thankful for it (as obscure as it was)...

I’m so glad that I grew-up in sub-suburban Chicago in the 70’s & 80’s, when WLS was EVERYWHERE!
I moved-on to FM rock-radio as a mid-teen, but WLS played the soundtrack of my childhood.

I would like to know if you could try to upload $20,000 Pyramid from November 7-11, 1977; I would appreciate it.

It was funny because the guys were funny. And Steve Dahl took to format to do Blues News. (Or did he do it first?)
