As another point, Zhongli's Daoist Namesake, Zhongli Quan, is also often connected to Alchemy and this particular goal of the creation of gold. Specifically it is said that he was a great Alchemist and he also had a fan which he could use to turn objects into gold by touching them with it, something like Midas.
PS: there's also a new event weapon in the next patch, according to which the creation of mora and transmutation into Gold is the sole province of Deus Auri, meaning that Zhongli is essentially the only one who can create Mora and transmutate objects into Gold in all of teyvat.

The implications of the last point are so 🤣: I means THANKS HOYO FINALLY, not oly they shut all the claims that "the Golden God" is somebody else with Neuvillette's voiceline, but now they just heads up tell us : listen I don't know where y'all get your headcanons from but HE IS the Golden god and HE IS the only one who can create Gold. 😉
They also updated the description of the weapon details that mentioned the “golden god” and changed it to Deus Auri, further confirming that orobashi was definitely running from him!
Dang this adds on to my "Who tf is Zhongli really" question! The oldest Archon, the only one who doesn't have a doppelganger yet is always faceless during cutscenes with him as Rex Lapis, made a contract with both Celestia and the Tsaritsa, and now apparently has ties to alchemy.
Why is Zhongli related to every single mysteries, i swear i will raid hoyo if they don't make Zhongli special in end of story

It’s definitely not a random choice that they made Albedo, the creation of ‘Gold’ Rhinedottir, as a geo element character.
I’m also thinking the relationship between Gold and Life. We know khaenriah’s alchemy is focusing on creating life. There must be some connection between life and gold so that Rhinedottir named herself as ‘Gold’. In the book ‘Breeze Amidst the Forest’, it says: The blood of the wicked dragon was distorted gold, with the powers to crumble mountains and poison the earth.
My interpretation of this is that the blood of durin is literally gold but twisted in nature. This means gold itself can be twisted by abyssal power and also gold itself is some kind of essence of life. According to Elynas’ story, I assume Durin is also some kind of life form existing in the cosmos/abyss, and Rhinedottir gave them their physical body to let them exist in Tevyat. Their bodies are created with gold mixed with some twisted abyssal power (maybe that’s just their soul). So after knowing Mora is gold, I always have this weird image in my head that Rhinedottir is dumping Mora into a pot, melting it with Durin and Elynas’s soul, and then magically they are born😅

Although the honkai universe that genshin is in isnt our universe, One thing to remember is that "suns" are literally element generators using fusion to create new elements. So if anything is alchemy, it IS the sun. Even gold itself is made within certain types of suns. Of course fusion was a little bit beyond what an alchemist could do with a bit of chemistry :) Khemia is probably a type of geo "magic" that reconstructs particles from one to another so it's like the literal alchemy element of genshin. Zhongli being ineffable as always has SO much more information about this world, I just wish he would spill some beans, that damn contract he signed with something keeps it all from being divulged.
BTW, they are called stars, not suns, only our star is called the sun as that's its name

counter point to the re-ordering of the stages of the creation of the philosopher's stone: on a different theory video someone pointed out that putting the golden stage at the end might have to do with eastern ideas regarding their own version of an 'elixir of eternal life' [which tracks as a connection given that the stone is iconic for that as well]. so it could just be the result of blending a few similar concepts together rather then a nod to the in-universe creator, but it's still reasonably sound as i can see it
[for the people that are curious: in chinese culture there's this concept of Cultivation as a term for people working/ascending into immortality and thus a sort of godlyhood. one of the most well known methods for this is to create a golden elixir that will grant eternal life, where as one that gets more screen time in anime and similar media would be pills of immortality]

I’m glad you pointed out that detail in the alchemy table and Zhongli’s clothes, I thought it’s just a design… Zhongli is connected or have hints of connection to many things that I won’t even be surprised if somehow he’s also connected to the freaking Irmunsul tree itself. And goddamit that mora is Zhongli’s power is still a debate to some people…always just that one line and dismiss the history…
Mora being a debate is only a matter of lore skippers. Anybody who read through it thoughtfully understands that no Mora can be further created because the God of Geo is dead. If it was a matter of Gnosis, then it would have made zero sense. If the gnosis is what creates Mora, then the production of Mora shouldn't be ceased after the death of the Lord of Geo. Other than that, in his SQ he clearly stated that he thought the early people of Liyue how to make houses based on a model cast from Mora. Mind you it's an easter egg because, why wouldn't he just make the model out of earth/rocks ?
Besides, I am still waiting for an explanation for why Mora can be found in Enkanomiya, a city that has fallen a while before the Archon war.
@@citoyenneteavanttout7273 Ikr...I mean just look at that S1 line about the first house being made fully out of mora, and Liyue is established 3,700 years ago via Zhongli outright stating it. And the way ended 2600 years ago in Venti's character story...timeline wise it makes no sense for Zhongli to need the gnosis...
I keep trying to explain that Zhongli means by 'requiring the Geo Archon's gnosis' is because the Geo Archon is "dead". Making new mora would make it suspicious as mora should be now depleting since the only source is gone. If Zhongli makes more then it will arouse suspicions. Sure Ningguang and the others knows that he is still alive via dreams but not the citizens...and Zhongli wanna retire, he wants to live like a normal human, and humans can't make mora... yet they keep going back to that vague line... -_- how dumb can you be for still dismissing harder evidence with one vague line?
Oh yeah, the Enkanomiya part...well Morax had likely already started minting it before Enkanomiya sunk, before making Liyue? I do think even the currency is far more important than we realize...cuz mora is a freaking catalyst for nearly everything. So its more than just a mere currency and likely has some lore to be revealed very soon. I do still believe Zhongli is either a celestial being or like the all-devouring-narwhal, a being from another world but not counted as a decender...
@deannerodriguez2208 I came across a person saying the Mora existed before Zhongli and he just popularized it. Now that we have lore confirmation that the only God of Gold to exist is him, I went back to that person, and they blocked me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I mean the Pethiriva Genstone straight up said that the currency that flow through this land is hos flesh and blood... though he didn't say it YET, there is no and will not be any other Golden God beside him, heck even Deshret tried but his currency ended up being Bronze. THE DESHRET.
@deannerodriguez2208 As for what is Zhongli, I mean his manecard is Heavenly star, and we got information about the morning stars early in game, this is a clear give out, it's just Hoyo keeping the thrill, which I am not against (honestly if it wasn't them dragging Zhongli's and the Adepti/Liyue lore I would have quit this game a while ago).

This is a great theory and I love it but Zhongli is not the only deity associated with the sun, alchemy, gold and creating it.
Remus was also associated with the sun, solar fortuna and golden army and made golden Ichor via his blood and primordial sea and created golems.
Amun was associated with the Sun, the sands, the stars, transmutation and light. Also created his own money made out of golden he created

Though all of them are associated with Gold, none of them truly achieved creating ''Gold'' itself.
Remus didn't create gold, but the things he created are called Golden, the golden Ichor has nothing to do with ''Gold'' so to speak, nor does it have to do with his blood : ''he mixed the primordial water with an immortal stone to create a golden Ichor''.
Also it's not the Solar Fortuna but the Golden fortuna (Ashikai effect I guess).
The gold in Amun's slumber is bonze and brass as per what Tadlha and Liloupar have to say.

Not only that but I suspect that he created Azhdaha in an attempt to 1) reincarnate the Geo Dragon Sovereign, or 2) cover up the fact that he is the Geo Dragon, making it appear that the real dragon sovereign is his pet, a symbol of subjugation by humanity upon the natives of Teyvat, therefore perpetuating the lies of this world by Celestia, and in fact this could be his contract, to sustain the lie himself yet lead another (the Traveler) to find the truth of this world in his stead, since he is contractually forbidden to divulge it himself.

1. Azhdaha is confirmed to be older than him. and Zhongli debunked the theory about him crafting Azhdaha in Tales behind the fan world quest. Yep. There is a world quest to debunk the story video from his 2nd SQ lmao.
2. We can't even say anything to confirm Zhongli is a pure light realm/vishap realm creature, which is the real base of Sovereign status. Neuvillette maybe trapped in human form but his "essence" still related to Bathysmal Vishap.
He does have a lot of symbolism related to it but Alchemy can be done without mora, Albedo does it all the time with his paintings and Kharian Alchemy is more advanced than anything we've seen any of the adepti do. Also what your suggesting woul mean Morax taught techniques previously taught only to the Adepti to godless heratics.
Albedo is no mere human, he was created through Alchemy, and though Khaenriah'a Khemia is advanced, it's unstable. Have we seen anything form the Adepti that doesn't surpass what Khaenria'ah did ? maybe not but it's the whole deal of it being a ''secretive practice''and yet atleast it did not result in a Cataclysmic Abyssal corruption. It actually makes sense, because since Albedo, that represents the second stage of the Alchemical prowess, who's final goal is to create Gold, can create live from drawings, one must wonder what Gold is capable of.
Speaking of Alchemy, We still not seeing the Jueyun Adepti (aka Morax's disciple) who truly specialize in achemy...
All of them are confirmed to be sigil user with different specialization (CR im mechanics, Moon Carver implied could do divination), and able to use sub space creation. ..
That's because "Khemia" is merely a branch of the main "Alchemy" tree. It's one of the different ways of using it. Essentially speaking, Alchemy as an Art is being taught in the entire world, very openly as one of the traveler's Voicelines suggests, which is also supposed to be highly unusual in all the worlds we visit, for some reason. It's unlikely that Zhongli personally taught it to the Khaenri'ahns, rather that they picked up the basic Art of Alchemy that is being taught literally everywhere (and originated from Jueyun Karst, Morax more specifically) and developed this new Branch themselves, or perhaps they simply picked up the basics for the art and perfected it.
Remember, Khaenri'ah's Population was to 90% made out of people that sought to live their life in a city without Gods, without (according to themselves) unnecessary limitations and likely with the desire to study the world itself. I'd bet at least 10% of them were at least adept in the art of Alchemy, which they then spread throughout the entire Kingdom as if it were a wildfire. A power that anyone can learn, a way to "play God" free for anyone, without the need to be randomly selected by the Gods. Just study.
There is a thing, Genshin likes to convey things without having to rub it to your face. Albedo is special, he is actually a synthetic being created through Alchemy, thus his name.
Khemia was an attempt to push the boundaries of Alchemy to create and sustain life in the confines of a hostile undergroud environment, but you miss in the fact that it was very very unstable, afterall it led to a planetary scale disaster that humanity barely recovered from 500 years after, which begs the question of why Alchemy, and Adeptal Alchemy in particular is very secretive. That being said, if we're at awe of what Albedo can do with the Art of Kehmia, one could only imagine what implications Golden God, a being that achieved Citrinitas could do.

Its really starnge to say a civilization that lasted longer than morax by feeding themselves with Alchemy had unstable Alchemy. It is even starnger to say that they learned it from a guy that is stated to be younger than historic mentions of Khaenriah but say that he taught them everything they know.
We have also never seen or heard of any adeptus using Alchemy.
Albedo also learned everything he knew from his master with spefic mention of her bringing things to life without Mora so its not just Albedo being a special case.
Also the whole point of using Alchemy was because they couldn't grow food if they had to trade to get mora(wich physically comes from Morax) to use Alchemy to grow food then they would just buy food.
This idea has too many holes and this paragraph is getting too long.
But this idea goes against the entire story genshin is trying to tell and the only evidence for it is rekated symbolism it would be antithetical to both the godless nation and the god that only came to care for humanity through guizong who still young when Khaenriah is mentioned as being fully founded and who never uses or mentions Alchemy.
Call me a wet blanket on lore theorising if you must but the theory simply doesnt work no matter how you contort the evidence.

How can the God of Gold unable to create gold without external help in the first place? 😂. The other meaning for "Mora Creation need the power of Geo Archon" It is not that he can't create mora, he just abide the mortal law to not carelessly creating mora, and the one who have the authority of the mora minting is Geo Archon, a title he ditched when he retires.
The gnosis may be a device to power up golden house (and function as an automatic printing), but so far all of the gnosis usage are as power amplifier (battery) and all archon except Raiden Ei and Barbatos used them to power their creation (ZL-Golden House, Rukkha-Akasha, Focalors-Oratrice. Barbatos never created anything which requires the power, while Ei totally failed at her attempt to use her gnosis as power source so in the end she let it go and pursue another path).
1st Mora was created when Liyue Harbor was just recently built, so it is utilized Zhongli's basic skill as Deus Auri. After the archon war concluded he might used his gnosis to amplify his power and produce enough mora to supply Teyvat.
Based on puzzle in Qingce Village, the seal of Chi was erected only after the fall of Decarabian 2600 years ago (because one of the statue faced the "Windswept Ruins/Old Monstadt) . Meaning that when Venti obtained the archon seat, Zhongli still busy chopping and burying Chi aka Liyue Archon war still ongoing.

King deshret's coins are made of bronze as stated by liloupar
Liloupar and Tadlha told us that the "Gold" that is associated with King Deshret is ''Fool's Gold'' that is consituted primarily by bronze and brass.
In addition to the points above, Deshret is an Egyptian word for "red one" that is typically used to refer to the red crown of lower Egypt.
King Deshret in Genshin was also known as the Scarlet King and one of his primary goals was the creation of the "golden slumber".
