  • The Final Score is a miniseries about the rise and fall of Colombian soccer and Andrés Escobar, between 1987 and 1994. The difficult situations and decisions that our idols had to face match after match, as they fall apart amid a violent nightmare. But, above all, it’s about the dream of a country and a team that will be remembered forever.

It was so sad what happened to him in the end, it must've been hell for Colombian players after that happened, playing at such a high level is already stressful enough but imagine having that thought in the back of your head that you might lose your life if you make a big mistake. Hopefully this does a good job telling his life story and pay him hommage🙏🏽

My mother was a child living in a town close to Medellin (Pablo Escobar’s main city) when this happened. She was watching the game with the rest of her family in the living room. She told me that once the goal went in off his leg, everyone watching knew he was already dead. The game wasn’t even over yet and Colombia could have came back, but even with that everyone knew this guy was in bad trouble.
