Met a guy who lived his childhood in Columbia while Escobar was alive, he said it was scary going out on the streets and that sometimes he saw dead military guys when him and his parents were on about their daily lives. Don't remember much about what he told me but he got out of their at a young age and is now living in north east America living the American Dream with his wife and kids.
Unless you’re talking about the Netflix shows (which is largely dramatized), so many things in this video are so wrong. The pictures you used for Colombian politicians aren’t Colombian politicians at all. The photos are of Kiki Camarena, Carlos Quintero, and Miguel Ángel Felix Gallardo. Which brings me to the next thing: Felix Gallardo and Miguel Ángel is 1 one. Hispanics tend to inherit their father last name and their mothers maiden name. Isabella Bautista was a fictional character and Blackie was one of the names that got changed for dramatization purposes. Irl, his name was El negro.
Felix Gallardo + Miguel Angel = Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo, the boss of bosses in Mexico at that time, head of the Guadalajara Cartel. You may want to get your facts straight.
I guess it’s just the power they felt that really allowed them to do all this. If I had to guess they just felt like they were above those they killed, and felt that couldn’t be stopped, just a killing machine with no off button that’s being fueled by power and money.
@@loopykill The guy was a F*ucking sicario for goodness sake. You know what that is, I'm sure. He was one of Pablo Escobar closest soldiers.I find that unbelievable! Well, no, anything is possible anymore!
he was well into self-gain. That killer still wanted attention, just as he had under Escobar. Except that as a youtuber he wouldn't have gotten away with it. He had killed too many people. Even youtube would have known, though not especially other CZcamsrs. This hitman was not a cartoon character.
I watched a few cartel s nuff videos when i was a teenager. It's so horrific to see people get axed to pieces alive that your brain reaches an "uncanny valley" perspective. You get quickly desensitised even though what you are seeing makes you appalled and angry. It's only later that when you recall the murder scene that you feel a sense of shock and dread.
Weird thing is, I watched tons of these videos teenager, yet I can’t remember specific details from a SINGLE one. I can’t remember any of the videos in any detail, I just know I saw them. Do you think my brain just shut out the memories? I wouldn’t go above saying those videos are straight up traumatizing to watch, and It seems likely to me my brain might’ve gone into a defense mechanism and represses those memories
Anybody watched Surviving Escobar? It's a series based on the book about Popeye's life in prison after the reign of Escobar ends.. pretty interesting show tbh.. in it he's shown to be a very calculative, manipulative, cunning and scheming individual, but he has to be in order to survive a prison mainly divided and ran by guerrillas, paramilitaries and ofc narcos headed by a cartel boss from rival elements of the trafficking world
I dont think the army is to blame for this. He was trained as a low rank soldier and then joined the police so apart from fire arm training i dont think he was turned into a "killer" during that time.
But the difference is the contex of killing. In the military there are protocols or rules of engagement and not only this, the military is a national, politically funded entity therefore tax funded. Criminals do not pay anything into a country and are generally a blight on them.
Its got fuck all to do with your ability to turn it off, its to do with money. Why go to war for the government/country and risk a bullet for peanuts when you can get paid more for working for the likes of Escobar ? Same with US Mercenery market, you get better gear, more money for going private. Obvs not everyone could do this but if youre both inclined and able you will
I did almost a decade in prison with two of Escobar's men, Luis Quintero-Cruz and Bernardo Vasquez. These are two of the three men tried and convicted for the murder of Barry Seal. Cruz was the triggerman. He was exactly what you would expect from someone like him, ruthless and not one to turn your back on. Though he would shy away from a face-to-face fight every single time. He also had an absolutely merciless and hilarious ability to mimic people, quite the sense of humor. I was never exactly friends with Cruz, as he was not really the kind of guy to make friends. But his hobby craft box was right next to mine and we spent many an hour side by side doing our own thing, for me watercolor and acrylic painting, for him mostly craft work at which he was absolutely brilliant. Bernardo Vasquez was something else entirely. He was explicitly NOT a hitman, but more a middle-management type who got sent in by Escobar to get the assassination of Seal back on track after the initial crew screwed things up so badly. Neither he nor Cruz ever said a single word about their hunting and killing of Seal, but I will say that Vasquez was extremely uncomfortable with having been involved with that side of the business and did it only because he was a good soldier and did what Escobar told him to do. One did not say _no_ when Escobar gave an order. The third part of the assassin team, Miguel Velez -- the idiot that screwed up the plan and necessitated Vasquez becoming involved to get it back on track -- I never personally knew because by the time I got to that prison unit Velez was already stuffed in a hole in Camp J at Angola Prison, probably the single worst place to be in any prison anywhere in the USA, because of a dumb escape plot he was orchestrating. In Camp J even taking a shower was done behind a locked cell door with the inmate wearing ankle irons. I'm not going to go into the tedious details but believe me, it was such a dumb plot and so moronically executed that if I told you the details you'd laugh out loud. He was stupider than a bucket of rocks. Velez has since died from liver cancer, if I'm remembering correctly. I do not in any sense sympathize with nor will try to justify his role in the killing of Seal. But I will say that in prison you pick and choose your friends based on whether you could trust them or not, and their crimes on the street were irrelevant to us convicts once behind bars. Having said that Bernardo Vasquez was my friend, someone who was absolutely steadfast and honest, and someone upon whom you could turn your back in complete safety. If he was a free man I would have no problem with him living next door to me. He was also, counterintuitively, a natural to the role of peacemaker, or more accurately with being the adult in the room when shit brewed between two inmates. Numerous times he talked sense into idiots before they did something dumb to themselves or each other. I also shared with Bernardo an extreme fondness for cats. He was the self-appointed caretaker for the cats on the compound and was the only inmate I knew with the money to buy lots of cans of tuna to feed the cats with. Like I said, on the street he was a part of a ruthless criminal organization and participated in at least one horrible crime. But inside? He was a man of fine and trustworthy character and my stay in prison would have been even worse without him around. The irony of the situation is that I met Seal back in the 80s shortly before he was killed. I knew him only superficially, and like everyone else I called him "Big Barry" because well he _was_ big. I still remember the shock of it. It was the first time in my life that someone I personally knew was actually murdered so naturally it was disturbing in the extreme. Anyhow, just an old man reminiscing. Hope someone found it interesting.
This is so educating… for example at 2:08 …and several other famous politicians in Colombia… (amongst them Kiki Camarena, Rafael Caro Quintero, Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo).
8:03 Felix Gallardo, Miguel Angel??? It's Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo, he is one person not two. Isabella Batista does not exist, she was a fictional character created by the directors of Narcos Mexico. Felix Gallardo was never kidnapped by Blackie. What the hell is up with all this misinformation
I was also thinking about that mistake in Miguel’s name and stretching his name in 2 persons, but there was a scene in Narcos Mexico where Blackie actually bring both of them to Pablo’s place.. I think that’s Pablo’s cameo scene
Used to watch Jhon Jhairo’s “Popeyes” CZcams channel. His channel doesn’t exist anymore, I think it got censored because of the information he was releasing… I remember he said that, Mugre is still alive and became a religious Pastor. But nobody really knows, he is the last sicario remaining.
He wasnt really. There were other narcos wayyyy more wealthier than him. Its just that you havent heard of them because they were smarter than him. They laid low.

He was interrogated under torture and murdered He was never in Colombia.

Kiki was killed by the commander of th Mexican police he revealed it in the interrogation recording by referring to the guy question him as comodante or some shit right you know your shot bro respect
Hey man some information is not legit, I understand some may be due to the language barrier, but the one I noticed the most was the picture of Kiko Moncada, that's not him. It's another narco who is still alive to this day, serving a sentence in the US and a very dangerous man here in Colombia. Don Berna
Wouldn’t call them the “hardest” they just sick cowards who are willing to kill unsuspecting/innocent people. The average soldier that puts their life in real danger are harder then any of these pathetic cowards.

The guy responsible for this CZcams video doesn't know shit about this subject, he is going just going based on whatever he saw on narcos, you didn't even take time to make an actual investigation, Pablo's hardest hitman were, Pinina, Chopo, Arete and Los priscos, which you didn't even mention in this video. This video claims that Popeye, Tyson (not blackie) and Kika (not quica) were Pablo's hardest hitman when Pablo had many hitman that were the same rank as this hitman's example El mugre, Tomate, Titi, Otto, Pajaro, Palomo, ect.. Kika didn't participate on Aviancas narco terrorist attack, he was blame for it but the main guys responsible for Aviancas attack was El Arete and Castaño Gil. This proves that anyone can make a CZcams video but not many people take time to do an actual investigation.
Love how he had to say "it may be hard to believe" when talking about the military backgrounds of both the 2 first guys. It's really not that hard to believe when 2 out of 3 (who knows about Blackie?) of the guys have it lol.
FYI, the pic you have for Kiko Moncada, is actually a man who filled the void when Escobar got Killed. He was very behind the scenes for quite sometime and some say became more powerful than Escobar was in his prime. His name was Don Berna.
“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” Revelation 21:8 KJV
@@DeV-ni3sk no he wasn’t poison , poison was Pinina “John Jairo Arias Tascon” he was Pablo Escobar most trusted hit man he was so much of Pablo’s right hand man he was even ranked 5th in the cartel basically a boss Him and El Chopo “Mario Alberto Castano Molina” if you wanna know a lot about the real story watch El Patron Del Mal on Netflix definitely 100x better than narcos… Panina and Chopo was so much above Popeye and everyone else Pablo was giving them profits of 50 kilos each included with Escobar a shipments
Still a bit innacurate, specially since they did used a looottt of creative freedom and some of the characters are more for comedic relief like la Kika who was an absolute monster irl as well as Nelson Hernandez: they are far more likeable in El Patron Del Mal. Not to mention the infamous bomberman, who's not showned here. But i do agree: Patron is better than narcos by far.
One last thing to know about Popeye is that he was out of prison in 2014, enroll in political group (i don't remeber which one), had some bribe and threat... Guess you'll never change. And he died in 2020 from stomach cancer !! Not the end you'll think
I saw a video, I think it was in his youtube channel, where Popeye was meeting with the son of one of his victims who thought Popeye shouldve been in prison. Popeye got in his face and intimidated the hell out of the poor guy. 20 years for 3200+ murders is ridiculously low.
8:21 that's don Berna, no Kiko Moncada, don Berna was one of the most powerful paramilitary commander, he, and the castaño brothers fund "los Pepes" or "perseguidos por Pablo Escobar" that means those pursued by Pablo Escobar, once they were allies with Escobar and they hit him were it must hurt him, in his properties, in his most valued and priced animals and very close people really important to the whole Medellin cartel structure, hope this information will be useful for those who are in to the Colombian cartel's and stuff ( sorry for the bad English, a Colombian in leaning process here)
No, todo lo que habla no es de la serie, sólo usa imágenes de narcos para rellenar el vídeo, todo lo que habla es debido a declaraciones del POPEYE que afirmó muchas de las cosas que pasaron en el cartel de Medellín
No, everything he talks about is not from the series, he only uses images of NARCOS to fill in the video, everything he talks about is due to statements by POPEYE who affirmed many of the things that happened in the Medellin cartel
@@daligang1359 I assume that he refers to the many inconsistencies and errors that this video has, and that many users are already pointing out in the comments. AKA poor research and fact checking to create the video
@2:08 you showed Enrique Camarena, Rafael Caro Quintero and Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo. None of these men were from Colombia, and none of them were kidnapped or killed by Jhon Valasquez
Stuff like this happens in smaller ways too. For example someone tips airport security off about a courier transporting coke in his baggage and in exchange the airplane doesn’t get searched. Really insane tbh
You forgot about Pinina, he was another top hitman for Escobar in his earlier days & worked hand n hand with Popeye on a lot of operations, both of their names too were John Jairo, just different last names
Pinina was the boss of all hitmans even popye said in an interview if pinina was alive after pablo's death he would've taken control of Medelin cartel he was the right hand for pablo
These are not even his most deadliest, the most deadliest were ''El Chopo'', ''Tyson'', ''El arete'' and ''Pinina''. The las one was the military chief of Escobar hitmen
he killed much more. thats what i heard from someone who had contact with popeye and that works with pablo escobars brother and even is ceo of escobar inc, he said he kept killing after he got out
I worked the case where he had an el Dario reporter killed in 1992 because he was writing a story on Pablo and the on the corruption in the government and in LE in Columbia. This happened in a restaurant in Jackson Heights Queens (110 precinct). I also arrested a family member of his (cousin or nephew) named Arnesto Escobar for Robbery of a prostitution house on 82nd street in Jackson Heights with another guy. As I entered, he saw me and he ran into a room with me behind him chasing him. He turned and pulled out a 357 magnum (stolen from a NJ state trooper) and pointed it at my chest. I grabbed the cylinder so it couldn’t fire as he pulled the trigger twice. I punched him in the face a couple times, got the gun, took him forcefully to the ground and cuffed him. I told him he’s going away for a long time (but didn’t yet know his name or affiliation) as I was charging him and the other guy with about 29 felonies. He laughed at me and said he would be out in a couple of days. He was right. I’m guessing his cartel guys in the area threatened the workers and johns that they tied up and robbed when he was in central booking because when I talked to the ADA the next day, they were only going to be charging him with the possession of the gun and CPSP (the stolen gun). They refused to charge him with my attempted murder because the gun never discharged and all of the complaints refused to press charges. It was very sad for me. After the reporter (last name De Dios) was killed, his wife secretly moved to Corona queens for her safety and there were 2 cops watching her house 24/7 for I’m guessing just over a year just in case the cartel came after her for any evidence of corruption her husband left with her or in case of an attempt on her life. I worked that “fixer” (a steady post where you keep an eye on someone or something as a protection detail) about 40 times with my partner. Pablo and his people thought they were above the law and anyone could be bought. They thought everything could be settled by paying them off and if anyone refused, were killed. Horrible horrible people.
@Witty Witty I think it’s just something you have or don’t have. I have seen many many cops that were cowards. I don’t think you can train it in you, just get used to it but those who really took the job to help others and make a difference are more likely to have this trait. I’m not saying I wasn’t scared many times but the time when you’re most scared is afterwards or when there’s down time. The other part of being composed, aware of details and alert (presence of mind) can be trained.
2:07 those are actually DEA agent Enrique "Kiki" Camarena Salazar, Rafael Caro Quintero, and Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo. The characters of Narcos Mexico season 1
Why is it weird to people that hitmen used to be military or cops? The training you get from those professions fits perfectly for being a hitman and if your countries police force and military are corrupt and don't pay well then why not take a job with the cartel so you can feed your famoly
Well thats it exactly sometimes these legit police men get no where in their job make no money and its easier to switch over and make real money, but also some guys thrive on being a animal and having this training to kill just pushes it more
I think they want to hide the link between the drug lords and the Colombian armed forces, just like they hid the link between these groups and the DEA itself

Colombia not Columbia, it's a Country not a film studio
I have been to Colombia twice. I truly had a fantastic time. The people were awesome, food great and I will go back soon

HOODSITE, HOODSITE. I SAW IT ALL.

It's a series based on the book about Popeye's life in prison after the reign of Escobar ends.. pretty interesting show tbh.. in it he's shown to be a very calculative, manipulative, cunning and scheming individual, but he has to be in order to survive a prison mainly divided and ran by guerrillas, paramilitaries and ofc narcos headed by a cartel boss from rival elements of the trafficking world
Just finished watching all series. Trust me it's worth watching.

That show was awesome! I can’t speak Spanish and I watched every episode.

I guess this is what the army teaches you, how to be a ruthless killer.
It just doesn't teach you how to turn it off once you leave.
I dont think the army is to blame for this. He was trained as a low rank soldier and then joined the police so apart from fire arm training i dont think he was turned into a "killer" during that time.
Wow so deep lmao bozo
I guess it's the opposite, if you can't control yourself, the army will drop you.
Obvs not everyone could do this but if youre both inclined and able you will
Always watching from Georgetown Guyana south America 🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾
A conversation between Popeye and sammy the bull would be brilliant
Hope someone found it interesting.
is this really true? if it is.. damn son

Agree 1O0%. Glad you are here to tell us about it
@Witty Witty I think it’s just something you have or don’t have.

Well thats it exactly sometimes these legit police men get no where in their job make no money and its easier to switch over and make real money, but also some guys thrive on being a animal and having this training to kill just pushes it more
