Throwback Tuesday I Watch the Highlights of CLSU’s 60th Universityhood Celebration
The 60th Universityhood of CLSU with the theme "The Birth of a University, The Birth of a Leader" celebrates the emergence of a comprehensive state university in the Philippines, a leader in the domains of academic and research excellence in agriculture and allied fields in the region and the world, including its transformational and strategic leaders over the past six decades.
The events held from June 17-18, 2024 include the Launching of the Alumni Walk, Sustainability Summit on Agriculture, President’s Night, a Motorcade, Launching of Futures Thinking Products, unveiling of future projects, and an Inaugural Community Night as a culminating activity.
As a fitting highlight of the celebration, the CLSU community convened at the University Auditorium for the Investiture Rites of Dr. Evaristo A. Abella as the 11th University President who officially took the helm of leadership last December 19, 2023. Dr. Abella also delivered his first State of the University Address after the first six months of his term.
The ceremony was attended by the members of the Board of Regents led by Dr. Ronald L. Adamat, CHED Commissioner and Chair of the CLSU BOR, Presidents from different State Universities and Colleges, Heads of Agencies, Industry Partners, members of the Administrative Council, Faculty, Staff, Students, Alumni, family and friends of Dr. Abella, and other guests and visitors.
