    I realize it isn't the most awesome feature, but that 'sweep' feature is actually a great idea, especially in a shop type environment. Little improvements in a product like that make this an incredible value

    I have the older orange version you referred to, have had it for...10+ years, had to replace the hose, fix the handle (just normal wear and tear, I'm in construction)... But other than that fantastic vac.
    And yes the tool box style lends itself to easy storage, stand on, sit on practicality, highly recommend.
    Great vid👍

Honestly so far the best vacuum for mobile detailing great for space super compact (I did unclip the plastic to hold the hose to make more compact since I use the detailing hose)

    Hey thanks for the video, I recently started a mobile car wash/detail business and bought this vacuum so I'm glad to hear from a pro that I made a good choice. I also use it as a step stool along with my rigid pro gear 2.0 box. It also saves space, when using a hatchback space matters big time. I'm tempted to try the 18v battery powered version but since I don't have the batteries it would be an expensive investment for parking lot jobs. I 'd love to see a detailers review on that model.

    Great video. Just picked one up with the pack attachment for $80! Excellent deal. Just to note, the detailing kit hose is a smaller diameter 1 1/4" vs the 1 7/8" included hose, but they do include adapters with the detaining kit so you can use both hoses together if you choose. Happy sucking!

    Anyone try this with a bucket top Home Depot dust stopper or dust deputy for power tool dust extraction? Planning out a sawdust cleanup setup. I like the small size of this since a large bucket size is irrelevant if I'm using the dust stopper. Few options for high horse power, but small capacity at the same time. I could fit this and a dust cyclone in the bottom of a shop cart easy.

      Did you try this vacuum for dust collection.

    • @lburwell99
      @lburwell99 Před 11 měsíci +1

      @@commoncents456 I ended going with a 4gal/5.5 hp Shop vac brand from Lowe's. I wanted something at least 5hp, but also small since I'm using the dustopper/5gal bucket as my primary collection. I have it setup on the bottom of a 2'x4' mobile workbench on casters I built. Top is same height as table saw so doubles as a support/outfeed table. I was between that and a similar spec Rigid at HD, both at $100. The shop vac one endsd up on sale for $10 off so went with that. It works great with the dustopper. I had to get the 2.5in hose kit which fits on the shop vac to get it to hook up well is all. It came with a 1.5in hose.

    5hp would be 3728 watts. 31 amps from a 120v outlet ain't gonna happen. all these manufacturers are making bald faced lies. actual power is around 1.4hp. it might pull "5hp" on dead start for about 0.2 second.

    Right now both vacuums are $129 on Home Depot's website. So if you want that extra capacity and annoying switch... lol

      Haha. That’s interesting though, the small one has been 119 and the other one was showing unavailable

    this vacuum is pretty useless. I bought for the 5.0 hp. I have another rigid 5.0 I love. It's on wheels and it's just a good powerful vacuum. This one is such a disappointing waste of money/time and energy. Short springy hose that doesn't stretch far enough to help you, there's no wheels so you have to carry it everywhere. That suction area for the sweeping is stupid because HELLO you have a vacuum, why are you sweeping?? They must've known that the buyer will ultimately end up using the old reliable broom. I give it 9 thumbs down.
