Things I like about these two games is that Yoshimitsu appear in both SC and Tekken while Heihachi timeslip to the Soul Calibur timeline.

Jin is surprisingly nice in this game. So sweet and supportive to other characters. I want to believe that would be his real personality in Tekken if he wasn't corrupted by Devil
Yeah. Going by his backstory from the instruction booklet in T3, and his speech and mannerisms in T4 and 5 (specifically to Hworang, Xiaoyu, and Jinpachi), he was pretty kind and soft spoken, kept to himself (again, with the exception of Xiao), but was also not a pushover (the sass was strong with him).
To make a comparison: Pre-T6 he was a lot like Kiryu, with Hworang being his Goro.
(That comparison can also be made regarding Asuka and Lilli, hell, even more strongly so considering Lilli's tactics to ruffle Asuka's feathers.)
it’s because that literally is his original personality, he grew up with his loving mother which made him a gentle kind soul before Devil awakened. In fact deep down he is still the same way for the most part which is why he tried literally everything to rid himself of the Devil gene but it eventually corrupted and even gave Jin nightmares according to Tekken 6 lore. It’s why he’s so alone and distant he doesn’t want to hurt those he still cares about including Hwoarang and Ling

Jin's appearance in these games is based on his T6 iteration. Yet he is portrayed more as a good person rather than evil. I find it interesting to note.
All of the character models are based off of tag 2, as it was the most recent tekken game at the time of this game's release.

@@Shiratto jin is based on tekken 6 with blood vengeance, its The same for xiao and alisa but blood vengeance takes place between 5 & 6. So i Think They mixed there personality in this game. Heihachi is based on tag 2
@@SCSHShine Tekken 6 Jin with Blood Vengeance is Tag 2 though. If we want to get technical both Xiao and Alisa are as well with Tag 2 Prologue. Kazuya himself feels more Tag2 oriented as well than 6 if we take into account him not pretending to be a hero.

Honestly those two games built a better dynamic between Kazuya and Jin than any of the Tekken games. They don't even talk to each other in main games yet hate each other's guts lmao.
Also Xiaoyu is miles better too because being very oblivious and childish is not her main gimmick like in Tekken 3-6

Well I mean, for plot reasons they're not allowed to try to kill each other in PxZ so they are limited to just talk.
You can't have these two in the same room in Tekken and expect them not to try to beat the everliving shit out of each other. That's not how it works

The soul and story/writing passion that all these characters are lacking in their own franchises. Including the many completely dead franchises represented. It was great that such crossover happened, doing what the companies themselves don't want to.

That Alisa with X and Zero dialogue is just sweet
They aren't the most technically rich games but darn did absolutely nail the character interactions! The dialog alone made these games worth playing for me, though the rest didn't go unappreciated either. This is just one of those games that makes you happy to be a stupid little lore nut :)
And one important part: this was achieved with simple static drawings and text. The game didn't need ambitious media models like long flashy fully voiced cutscenes and all. Meanwhile most games currently on that cutscene model are failing to have as engaging and entertainment writing as things like PXZ. (And of course we could say for tons of old games that are masterpieces with just pics and text)
That’s what the team has been doing for decades making crossovers having the characters interact ever since the original GameBoy or Super Famicon in 1991 with the first Super Robot Wars

Even though Jin is flawed for in many ways himself, it's comforting to know that in his own way, he cares about others, or at least is more respectable, much more so than his shit dad and even shitter grandfather.

Monolith Soft really nailed the personalities of the Tekken characters, like they had an understanding of who these characters are, why they are the way they are and the dialogue exchanges between them not only feel natural and even had me laughing my ass off but it feels like what the characters would say in such interactions. And seeing Jin and Kazuya act so passive aggressive towards each other is not only faithful to their personalities but got a lot of laughs out of me. Also seeing those two interact with Segata Sanshiro the mascot of the Sega Saturn was something I never knew I wanted but was welcoming.

The interactions here range from funny to sad. I think my favorite is when Heihachi tries to adopt Ryu. A close second is when Riella and Kurt try and figure out where Alida's brain is, and the third would be when Natsu hears about the modern Yoshimitsu. What did you guys like?

0:43 - First one of these that had me bursting out into hysterics! It was funny enough with Xiaoyu's fabulous vocabulary but Chun-Li's line was perfect!
1:31 - Heihachi is surprisingly friendly and nice in all these interactions; even in the ones with interacting with Kazuya.
2:20 - I feel forgetting that Natsu managed to make some appearances outside of Soulcalibur V, which is impressive given the reception to said game. Love the Yoshimitsu lineage reference. An of course, Kazuya's a complete jerk as always.
4:49 - Seriously, Heihachi is having the time of his life in this crossover!
