Welcome back to my channel! I decided that I needed to rearrange my police duty belt. Some of my police equipment didn’t feel the best while sitting in the patrol vehicle, so I needed a change. I don’t recommend switching up your duty belt all the time. Once you get a set up that is comfortable with you KEEP IT THAT WAY! Back in 2015, when I was just a kid, I ran away from home and was about to commit suicide because of what was going on in my current life. I had started to run into oncoming traffic. I remember seeing a utility vehicle and I took it down towards the MLK bridge. I was planning on going out that day. Not sure who called the sheriff but a officer named Farrah Turner arrived on scene. She didn’t hesitate to run up to the vehicle and
Pull me out but gently. She then gave me a hug and as told me “Man you gave me a scare where are your parents? I love you and you shouldn’t be wanting to harm yourself”. I’ll never forget what she told me. Her favorite song was “I can only imagine”. Heard that playing in her car. As she was waiting for another deputy she talked to me about life and gave me a sweet lecture about how important my life meant to God. We started talking about law enforcement and how she thinks I’d be a great advocate for the younger generation when I got through my hardships. The utility vehicle I took the owner wanted to press charges he didn’t even care that I was going through it. Farrah insisted the guy to give me a break because it wasn’t going to benefit me any. The guy actually came and talked to me as well wishing me well. I called her my Godmother and we had frequent talks and interactions. Sadly, October 3rd, 2018, she was shot and injured in the line of duty. 12 people were injured that day but 7 officers were shot and 1 died that day. She passed weeks after. It was a tough time all across America that day especially in South Carolina. I’m 21 and working for the state and hopefully when I’m 30 I’ll be a police officer fulfilling my dreams. Thank you Ofc. Judging such actions (or even trying to understand them) based on factors that we can't perceive or understand is likely to be flawed. Whether I can agree with that choice or not is not the issue - it's a matter of respecting their control over their life and body.
Yeah I totally agree and all the stories of how bad police officer s are is crazy even though it's true . Because you should never judge a book by its cover

Have you looked into a left handed taser draw. That’s how I have my belt set up. It sits right behind my mag holder on the left side.

Economy of motion would put the pistol mags closest to your buckle on your non-gun hand side. Have you thought about a mirrored draw for your taser. I've run my taser with a left hand draw for years, took some practice but it works well. Rides about 9 o'clock on my belt.

I am in the same boat. Need to cut off the end tip of the belt, put the flashlight on my vest, and buy a Slimline mag holster. I would suggest a slimline mag holster and a smaller handcuff case. Cutting down the size of the material of the cases and holsters, saves even the tiniest space.

My parents just got some chickens from a cop who raises them, ours died from old age, so happy to be getting fresh eggs again.
the way I was taught cuffs and mags in front at gig line and work your way back. Mags should be opposite side from weapon but, only because its faster to reach and you don't cross your body. I put spray on strong side before holster. Just get a double cuff case to save room. Good video though.

Nice smart to put your flash light on your vest! My X2 taser is on my right side of the vest and I have 2 511 M4 NYLON pouches on my left side of my vest. My TQ and first kit is in my pouch to with my NORCAM! SWEET VIDEO AND DUTY BELT SETUP!

Hay Steff Doug here put your taser SLS on a QLS. I did that, and it should give you more room in order to clear your mag pouches, i did that years ago. Now my taser is on my VEST! Try that.

I applied for a local police department on Monday! Taking a Civil Service Exam the first Saturday in August and if I pass I go to the physical exam the last weekend of August! My biggest concern is the 1 1/2 mile run in like 16 minutes. I'm not the best at long distance running. Working hard on it though!.

Buy your self a plain black BIANCHI duty belt it has more room and it's lighter and it feels good. Mine cost me 49 bucks only. I have my mags on the left side of the duty belt then baton, flash light, radio and pouch. Right side is my key holder, oc spray holster and cuffs then your glove pouch. That has worked for me 20 years now. I started out with a Safariland Basket weave Sam Brown 94.
Everybody harps on the right hand side having your magazines but it can also help you out with one handed reloads you can put your firearm behind your magazines and it and it'll give you quick access to your magazines and quick access to your gun reloading it that's the way I carry my magazines and I've been doing it for 20 years I've been a security guard for about that long and I'm still carrying them like that

I love your videos. Just thought of something that may help with you taser placement. You could try getting a left hand holster, and setting it up on your support side so it will be like a straight left hand draw. It's still opposite your duty weapon and could be easy access because you are left handed. Thanks for posting and being a positive person.

Try to look at drop leg holsters for your main pistol that usually opens up room for other things on your belt

on my duty i run a left handed taser holster and drawing with my left hand. it saves me space since the taser will not be at an angle and you can have your magazine pouch up front
I also use a left handed taser holster. Like you said it allows you to put your magazine pouch up front and makes things a lot easier.

I would say put the quick access cuffs in between the mags and the holster. Just a thought.
You can put your taser behind the mags just un screw the back of the taser and it will tilt straight up and you can angle it what ever way you want!
A lot of people like those peerless 801's but for about the same price you can get the CTS Thompson Tri-Max which has a bit more secure locking feature.

Ask your FTO and Supervisor if you can use a Bianchi elite duty belt with a plastic buckle. I use one with my Safariland basket weave pouches. Put your taser on your vest mine is.

Have you thought about getting a gun Holster that you can put around your leg? So that way you can have more room on your belt to put things.

Hi Steff Doug here long time viewer and fellow officer in blue. Im going on 26 years now. I never changed my belt. Just my vest. Try right side putting your key holder, oc spray pouch, gun holster, cuff pouch then glove pouch. Left side is my mag pouch, flashlight pouch, ASP BATON scabbard and radio. My taser is on my vest, with 2 5.11 soft M-4 pouches and my Gerber tool. Try that! Im a FTO and armor with my dept. Stay safe beautiful fellow officer in blue!

I don't know if this helps at all but here is my belt set up. I am right handed by the way. From my buckle going right (as if wearing the belt) pepper spray, firearm (currently Beretta 92fs), handcuff pouch (hinged cuff), tourniquet pouch, glove pouch, handcuff pouch (chain cuff), small flashlight pouch, collapsible baton, magazine pouch (open top triple) and last taser. The taser is almost on my buckle, glove pouch small of the back, the triple magazines at about 10 o' clock. I usually wear an external vest which carries my radio, personal phone, hands free light, pen, notebook and certifications, I'd and patches. I have a slight beer gut which with the vest, can make it hard to reach magazines when they're right in front of the firearm, also feels a little awkward. At 10 o clock, it seems easier and more natural to pull the mags out, you just drop your hand down and it almost automatically goes right there. I have a 40" waist, so I have a little more real estate than you but I am also carrying more on the waist (baton, extra cuffs, triple mag instead of double and tourniquet pouch). I usually use 6 belt keepers to hold it all together
