- In this video I show how to construct this his Kate Spade inspired tote. The entire bag is made on my Techsew 2750 cylinder arm machine. I show how to convert it to a flat bed machine and talk about the add on features that Techsew offers.

There's only one word that describes you Chris and that word is Brilliant!! I watch all of the sewing videos and there's no one that does what you do. Please continue doing these tutorials, I look forward to each and every one of them! I'm so so grateful to you for sharing your hard work and amazing artistic abilities. Thank you🙏
Yes. I like the second version best. Much better. TFS
Holy smokes Chris these are just absolutely AMAZING!! You are incredibly talented and i love your teaching style. Very patient and thorough 🙌🏼
Love sewing with bare feet!! I was on the phone with Ron today at Tech Sew discussing machines. Timely video. Ready to hit the buy button. It is so generous of you to not only share your design idea, but measurements etc. and then sew the whole bag on the Tech Sew was amazing. I love watching you create. You inspire and encourage so much. Keep up your amazing sews. I look forward to each and every one of them.
Yeah! Good luck with it! Just like any machine it takes a bit to get comfortable with it but I am sure you will love it! It sews like a dream!
You will love it. I don’t regret my purchase of this machine at all.
I wish I had that sewing machine it look like a beast of a machine !
This is a great video. I’m very interested in the tech sew 2750. Thank you.
I am so glad it helped!

So excited to see your new video this morning when I woke up ! Watch pretty much all of them so this new one was just gr8. Thank you Chris for sharing
You are welcome!
I have this machine and love, love, love it. It makes sewing bags an absolute pleasure.
Great video, Love learning new techniques also like the drop in lining, Perfect Inspiration again. Barb
I love all of your videos!!!!! I have learned so much from you! Please please please recreate one of the Brahmin style bags. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I want to do an inspiration bag for my next video. I was thinking of the bag that I showed in the fist series of Designer Bag Inspiration. Thoughts?
@@simplyclassic that one is nice, or the Duxbury 😊. Whichever one you do, I’ll definitely be watching. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us all. ❤️
Oh wow, it looks just like the original...congratulations 👏 I agree with u about the drawstring takes away from opening the bag. & I do like it better with the O-rings. Absolutely beautiful! Thank u for sharing
💥Amazing bag!💥 Amazing tutorial for bag and the machine! Thank you Chris!
U inspire me 2... peace ✌️
Good, that is the goal, to keep you inspired😀
Great video…great step by step explanation…really enjoyed it. Thank you so much for sharing.❤️❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful work! I’m saving for Techsew and it was great seeing you use it.
You mentioned how you didn't like the raw edges of the straps. I agree. I use some metal strap ends on mine. I think I bought them from Emmaline bags and they are super easy to attach. I tried to attach a picture but couldn't. This bag is a work of art. I love the red vinyl and wish Bo Dee Oh had more in stock. I've made three of your DB Pocket totes from it and only have a small scrap left!!! 😒 Thanks for another fabulous video.
That is a perfect solution. Thank you for sharing! Be sure to join the Simply Classic Inspiration Facebook group and post pictures there if you can.
You are so amazingly talented. Thank you for another fabulous tutorial 💕
Wow ! So classy.I will certainly do one.
I love this bag you are making and I’m so excited because I had ordered my 2750pro a couple of weeks ago and you are the first one to actually show how to make a bag on it. I can’t thank you enough for making this video. Can I ask you a question concerning the machine, was it difficult to set it up with all the right tensions? I’m sewing on a Juki1181N right now. Thank you again
Sandie, congrats on your purchase! The tension was not difficult at all. It was good to go out of the box. I watched and followed the setup videos that they have on CZcams to get it going. With a little help from Hubby, it was a breeze! Post a photo of your completed bag in the Facebook group, I can't wait to see it!
Very good video. I’m gonna have to try this one. Thank you.
Fantabulous! So smart.
Do you have in any videos how to pull the thread to the back and tie off. I just ordered this machine and didn’t realize I should pull the thread and tie off. Thanks for your videos. I watch them all.
Thank you for watching! Are you referring to the tie off on the wrong side? I do that in several videos, I don't like to backstitch on the face of a bag. I think the Leah Tote video has a section showing that. I hope that helps!
Love it ! Great job !
Great video!!! Just ordered my Techsew 2750 pro and I'm over the top excited!! Wondering why you don't use your roller guide?
Congratulations! You won’t be disappointed. I do use it most times. Not sure what I was thinking during this video.
Hi Chris
What size grommets did you use? I only have 1 inch and I think those are too big.
I used 1/4” grommets. I get them from Rowley Workroom supplies. You will need a press to put them in, they are not screw in.
You can find that size at Hobby Lobby. I believe there is a setter that comes in the package and you can use a mallet to set them.
Hope that helps😀
thank you much appreciated!
Thank you for this video! I am wondering what you are doing with the machine needle and pressure foot when you turn the corners on the cream leather accent pieces? Can you not just simply lift the pressure foot and turn? TIA
I think you are referring to the part where I sew the mitered edges down. When sewing along the long side of the strips I do just keep my needle in and turn, but for those mitered sections I had to do a little more sewing.
Great Video.. What weight do you use for bags? 92 or 138?
I use tex 70 thread. Is that what you are asking?
I'd like to c how u closed up the bottom of that bag 🎒. Thanks... peace.
Robin,
Here is a tutorial on how to close the bag. czcams.com/video/cOHmPXJDGpg/video.html
It is at the 1:27 mark. I hope this helps.
Hi, I’m currently debating which table to go with my future cylinder machine. I’m wondering, if you could change to pedestal table vs the U table you now have, would you and why or why not?
I am not sure I can answer that honestly because I have never used a pedestal type table. My answer would be a guess since I haven’t seen on both. I wish I had so I could help you!
Hi Chris
I absolutely love this bag you are amazing. I tried to download the cutting chart and it stated product not found. Are you no longer offering it, or did I do something wrong? 😔
Hi Betty,
Thank you so much for sending a message. The link was somehow "broken". I have corrected it so you can now access it.
Thank you for watching!
@@simplyclassic thank you, got it! Can't wait to try it out. 😊
Please post your finished bag on the FB inspiration group. I don’t think we have had anyone post this finished bag yet. Here is the link facebook.com/groups/simplyclassic/
@@simplyclassic yikes no pressure...lol. I will give it my best shot. 😊
Does that machine have a speed reducer? Seems like it does not
It does not have a reducer but is easy to control with the servo motor.
Is it possible to take off one of your presser feet and then use the edge guide to get a 1/8th inch seam?
I am not sure but that is an excellent idea. I will try it😀
I want a cylinder arm with the flat bed would you recommend the one you have or the I think 4800?
Yes. I believe they have a 4800 or 4850. I decided on the 2750 because I don’t sew with super thick materials. I use faux and real leather and cork. The real leather I use is usually 2-4 oz. I know some people sew with thicker leathers and I felt the 4800 was more for the thicker textiles. So…..it comes down to what you sew to make your final decision. I have not found anything yet that my machine won’t sew through! Good luck with your decision!!
Just curious, why no reverse stitching?
I like to have a neat seamless finish on the outside of the bag so I prefer to avoid back stitching whenever possible. Also, when using vinyl or leather or cork, the less holes I put in the textile, the better. I don’t worry about it so much when I am using a cotton canvas or linen fabric. I usually backstitch then.
How thick of vinyl can you get under the needle? Can you stitch a vinyl strap that is 4 layers to another layer of vinyl?
