      @@williemaykit7940 Be sure you do. We have seen many dogs go blind because of SXS rides. REX SPECS is the company that makes them.

    Great video..!! How are you all liking the GBC Terra Masters.? I am running a set on my Talon, and like them so far..

    • @parkcitymacs
      @parkcitymacs  Před 4 lety +2

      Thanks! The Terra Masters are VERY light weight which preserves the Honda’s amazing handling. So far I am very impressed. We mainly do Moab type riding, but also like them in fast stuff. I run the hard terrain pattern on the outside. Compared to the other tires out there, I also can not complain about the price point.

    Great video! Sand Hollow looks like an absolute blast! Long haul from SE Washington but then we do pull to Moab every year so Sand Hollow can’t be much further!
    Are you all running the same tires? Anyone use the Tusk Terrabites on the rocks? If so how do they do?

    • @parkcitymacs
      @parkcitymacs  Před 4 lety +2

      Thanks! Much appreciated! Sand Hollow Park (SH) is pretty fun for 1 or 2 days. The park is barely 15,000 acres, so it is like a spec compared to Moab. I’m not sure I would cut a Moab trip short for time in SH, unless I switched to TWO wheels. ~The surrounding areas, outside the SH park, provide some amazing dirt bike/motocross areas if you are into that. Ken Roczen has even been spotted riding on a day off a few times!! ***** TIRES.... The Tusk Terrabite you mentioned seems heavy, has a pretty large gap between the outside edge treads (limits slick rock or fast hard terrain) and it does not come in a 31 which is holly grail for a Stock Honda Talon ; enough to clear rocks but lighter than a 32”. So I do not see many on the Hondas. Ya, it’s funny but 3 of 4 Honda Talons in that video had Kanati Terramasters. Utah has such diverse dirt, it’s hard to find a overall tread that meets all the conditions. The stock Talon really demands a lightweight tire /wheel set up, in particular the 50mph to 85mph stufff. I’ve found the 13 + pound Method 409 Bead-grip wheels with the Terramasters (31’s are close to 37 lbs) fit that demand fairly well and have a good price point. In fact, we do far more technical rides in Moab than SH, and I rarely lower my tire pressure below 13 psi. Very good grip! Although, I’m not sure I like the look of my 409 Method Wheels, compared to say an OMF Beadlock wheel or something more performance oriented. I’’m getting used to the 409’s look, but so far I VERY much, like the Terramaster tires in both fast and slow stuff as well as sandy loose dirt and slick rock.

      Razors Edge Adventures there’s alot of riding to do here around sand hollow. You can easily spend a week exploring sand hollow, the Arizona Strip, the west desert. You can even ride to the grand canyon if you want. There's also Coral Pink Sand Dunes within just over an hour away. That whole area can give you several more days riding.

      I'm on 33's now. for some stuff I liked the 31's but now I get more versatility out of the 33's

      Any noticeable power loss with the 33s? What pressure are you running? Swapping out my 32 Motivator RT for those 33s before our Thanksgiving Moab trip

    • @parkcitymacs
      @parkcitymacs  Před 2 lety

      @@brettbenoit454 I thought the motivators were super heavy at square edged, so if you went with Kanati's as 33's you probably would notice an improvement regarding speed/power.

    • @parkcitymacs

      Yes, low... Keep in mind the Talon can do almost 60mph in Low range, and the lag between gears on downshifts is very quick in low range when in sand.

  • @DUNEATV
    @DUNEATV Před 4 lety +3

    Love the Talon but the location of the instrument cluster and the factory steering wheel is not good...they should have used the Yamaha YXZ design instead.

    • @parkcitymacs
      @parkcitymacs  Před 4 lety +2

      Thanks! I so agree. I think HESS racing has a solution for the steering wheel. I don't think the stock Talon display is even worth moving because the display is so hard to read. It's like a 1985 TIMEX watch display. Plus, I want an analog RPM gauge, digital speed so I may be doing that on my own. I'll install the turbo kit and see where I want the turbo temp, boost, and after I re-tune, I'll have the correct speed...

    • @650ic6
      @650ic6 Před 2 lety

      Jeez - it literally takes two or three seconds to dart your eyes over to the instrument readout. Having it in front of the steering wheel would be ideal but the stock setup isn’t worth complaining about.
