    Looks pretty cool in the technical stuff!👍

    • @R.C.A.D.
      @R.C.A.D.  Před 3 měsíci

      And it looks even cooler on the technical stuff "in person" 😄 Ha ha ha lol
      It's definitely not a day to day crawler, "but for what it is" it doesn't do too bad around the washed out adventure course, and more importantly, it looks very Cool and Realistic while doing it.😊
      Many thanks for checking out the show bro 😁🤜🤛

    Did pretty well.

      Agreed... Especially considering the type of vehicle it is.😄👍

    Did you figure out what was making the noise yet in your little rc jeep

    • @R.C.A.D.
      @R.C.A.D.  Před 2 měsíci

      😄 ha lol "nope, not yet.
      I got busy with a bunch of other stuff around here, and haven't had much time to go in and look at it.😕
      And I also did "exactly what I said "that I didn't want to do, 🙄 And that was falling behind on putting out videos.😕😞
      I have four videos ready to go, but I had gotten sidetracked with making a half mile long walking trail "that's wide enough to drive a full size truck through" going all the way around the perimeter of our property.😁 It's pretty cool! And has also opened up a lot of new areas to run the RC's, which is even cooler really.😄 Lol
      And I also found a lot of new Rocks for the adventure course too, "in the process of making that trail" 😊
      I'll probably do a video on it before too long.😁👍
      Other News;
      I put new drive shafts on the TF2, and did a video running it on 3s around the adventure course, Which was pretty cool too,😄 it was the first time that I had the TF2 out in about 2-3 years, and it was also the very first time that I've ever ran it on 3s.😊 That video will be titled "The Mighty TF2"
      And I also filmed another Airplane video with the Aeroscout 😕 and I ended up parking it in a tree twice,😞 And talk about a pain in the rear to get the plane back.🙄😕
      Other delays; Our Michigan weather has also been causing delays in the program,🤔 the Temps have been up and down and up and down, and it's also been windy'er then normal, along with raining on and off for week long stretches,🙄😞 it Sucks! 😕
      The weathers not good for anything but a indoor day job.🙄😞 Especially after getting my nose broken last fall "after getting hit with that falling tree branch" it makes me want to stay out of the woods on those windy days.😕 And that makes it tuff to get any new construction done on the adventure course.🙄
      Can't be wasting time looking up every time the wind blows,😕 otherwise nothing ends up getting accomplished.😞
      I'm gonna have to start wearing a Helmet and Chest Protector to get any work done out there.😂 Lol
      Back to the Willy's Jeep;
      As I look over towards the work bench "this is what I see, Total Chaos! 😄 Ha lol
      "Starting on the far left side of the bench" we've got manuals and various parts laying about for different RC's, then there's the TF2 body resting by the screwdrivers towards the back of the bench, and a set of custom carved 2.2 Canyon Trails sitting in their tire bag's, right in front of the TF2, and closer to the front of the bench, "their for my Trx4 bronco" To the Right of the TF2 is the Tamiya Volvo A60H, and it's waiting for me to finish the lifting bed portion on it, In front of the Volvo "closer to the front of the bench" is my dirty Tf2 sitting in a cheap tin turkey basting pan,😂 I put it in that when I finished it's run, and it hasn't moved since.😄 Lol To the right of the Volvo and Turkey basting TF2 "is the Aeroscout airplane, it's comfortably resting on top of a roll of paper towels, and currently in the middle of swapping Transmitter's, as well as still using it to finish the end of its last flight video,😕 Basically showing the damage that occured during its most recent flights along with my plans to swap it out to a different transmitter.😕 And then to the right of the Aeroscout is a old outdated laptop computer, and a old outdated Phoenix 5.5 flight simulator program,😄 The computer was ours, and the Flight Sim was donated to the channel by a viewer who doesn't want to be named,😊 And it's pretty cool... And it came with a old outdated Spektrum DX6i transmitter to go along with it,😁 which is the same transmitter that I'm going to bind the plane up to.😄 Lol
      But the flight sim was a huge help... And I highly recommend one of those "for anyone thinking about flying a RC plane,😄 Lol Having that Sim is great for developing the muscle memory required for learning how to fly in RC airplane,😕 it's a huge help, and saves all kinds of money too,😂 Crashing a RC plane in the Sim doesn't cost you a penny, and crashing one in real life can be "potentially" very expensive.😕 I can't thank that person enough for donating that, it has "potentially" saved me a ton of money,😄 I crashed my plane 7 times the first time out "without trying it on a SIM first" and the second time out I didn't crash it at all,😕 instead I had one really bad landing on the ground, and two really nice high level parking jobs, in two different trees,😂 Lol
      But I didn't crash it.😁👍
      And that's where I'm at "at the moment, "currently editing the end of a flight video, out in the Big RC Toy Box.😁
      The Jeep... Holy cow I didn't even mention the jeep 😂 And that's because it's not on the bench, and is currently sitting on the RC display wall "below my K10 Ascender, and above my Wltoys 10428a Hydroplane truck.😁
      don't know when I'll get around to taking it apart, but when I do "I'll make sure to put it on camera.😊
      Otherwise though I'm still happy with it.😁 It's definitely not the best RC crawler for the money, but I wouldn't have ever known that without the opportunity of owning one first,😕 Especially since nobody else other than myself on CZcams, would ever give someone the straight facts on a vehicle such as this,😕 Most folks like to show RC's like they never have a problem, and "me" on the other hand "me likes to tell the Truth.😁👍 Ha ha ha 😂 lol
      I personally like that little jeep, but it's definitely not a everyday crawler, and it's not necessarily built for the long haul,😕 She's basically just a very scale shelf model "that you can take out and drive every once and awhile" 😕 I've only had it out twice, and the first time was in the snow, "which is where it picked up that clicking sound" 🤔 and that's not good! 😕 "If it was in the dirt" then I might think that some sand might have gotten into something, "But since it started doing it in the snow"🤔 That means "that it must be internal, and I'm guessing it's coming from it's crappy "linear gear reduction transmission"🤔
      "Ultimately" I'm foreseeing that body on an entirely different chassis somewhere down the line, just because I know "that the original chassis isn't going to hold up.😕
      But right now she's looking pretty, and currently sitting on display with all the rest of the RC's.😊👍

    Did pretty well I think

    • @R.C.A.D.
      @R.C.A.D.  Před 3 měsíci

      Yeah not too bad all in all, "did pretty darn good for a scale model.😊
      In hindsight "and as far as getting views go" I probably should have gotten a Gmade Spyder, or a Redcat Ascent,🤔 But I wasn't concerned about the views with this vehicle, this time I was getting a new RC that I've been wanting for a while, vs getting a new vehicle that the public wants to see.😁 It's certainly not the best crawler by any means, but it definitely looks great on film while it's trying.😄👍
      Would I recommend it as someone's next RC ? 🤔
      Definitely Not! 😕 There's no way that this thing would hold up to "day to day" use and abuse, It's a Cool looking truck with great overall curb appeal, "that looks awesome on camera" but it's definitely not built for daily driving.😄 Lol
      I myself on the other hand, am going to treat it like a daily drive, "just to see how long it will last for" and how much long term trail abuse that it can actually handle.
      😁😂 Ha ha ha lol
      In other words "I'm going to find out what it's made of.😁👍

    How come not too many people comment on your channel

    • @R.C.A.D.
      @R.C.A.D.  Před 3 měsíci

      It's because the majority of my views are still coming from people who are doing Internet searches on specific stuff vs getting views from channel subscribers.😕
      Which is another reason why I got this truck vs something different, I was getting this one for me vs getting it for the channel.
      😊

    Watch that ricky's garage f m s jeep video, That may give you some ideas,

    • @R.C.A.D.
      @R.C.A.D.  Před 3 měsíci +1

      😦 hmm.. I don't know how to say this, other than to just say it, but I actively try not to watch other people's channels "specifically because I don't want to be influenced by their ideas"
      I like being original....😁👍
      Now that being said... When I was learning about RC Airplane's over the past few months, "I've been doing just the opposite, and watching several other people's channels, But mainly Brian Phillips RC channel, he's kinda like me "as far as how he does his filming" except that he's very knowledgeable about Airplanes.😄
      So there you go.... But when it comes to "Terra Firma" There's only a handful of channels that I'll check out from time to time, and those all belong to friends such as yourself.😁👍
      But otherwise I actively try not to be influenced by other people's ideas.😕😊

    Actually it was good it didn't pop a drive shaft, Or Axel. The little pizza cutter tires

    • @R.C.A.D.
      @R.C.A.D.  Před 3 měsíci +1

      I was surprised too 😄 it's gotta come down to the extra chassis weight from the driver and lead counter weight coupled with those narrow pizza cutter tires, that got it through most of the terrain,😄 Weight and Tire Side Bite for the dirt stuff, and Weight and Flat Tire Contact Patch for the double roller brick hill, 😁
      Those tires performed pretty darn good across the board.😊

    • @kevinbreaker2683

    • @R.C.A.D.
      @R.C.A.D.  Před 2 měsíci +1

      @kevinbreaker2683
      Oh yeah....😄 I'm sure that I'll be doing all kinds with it, I'll run it until it comes apart, "and then I'll modify it "and make it better.
      😁👍 lol

    Maybe you pushed it too hard

    • @R.C.A.D.
      @R.C.A.D.  Před 3 měsíci

      Possibly...
      But at the same time I haven't been too hard on it.
      It started making noise on it's first run in the snow,😕 "which is kinda ridiculous really" but now after it's first run in the dirt, it's Really starting to make some noises,😄 I'm going to run it until it breaks, and then I'm going to take it apart and see what it's made of, and then I'll probably put that jeep body on an entirely different chassis "Like a stretched out Ascender, or a Redcat Gen 8.😁👍
