- I explain why Black Clover is one of the most overrated Shonen Jump Series in the past "15 YEARS!!!"
I give my reasons as to why I think "Black Clover" is a horrible written series. I address it's flaws & why it's the "Poster Child" for how to not write a Shonen story, or story period. I also address it's toxic in denial fanbase, that seems to not know how to take criticism.

When i first started watching black clover i haven't watched naruto or bleach becuse i wanted to watch a shorter show, anyway, still with that mind set i still couldn't watch more than 10 episodes.
I dont mean to offend anyone but what i like the most in anime are characters specially the side characters and as soon as the black bulls were introduced it started going downhill for me. Each of them had one and only one character trait.
And even the main characters weren't that compelling. What im trying to say is that black clover is bad even whithout the cliches in my opinion.

i think a fun point is every anime is inspired by older gen series and those older gen series also take inspiration from other series, people confuse inspiration with rip off and that constantly leads to toxicity fandom being born which leads to the over hyping of series when something is just slighly more difference from the usual trope,.
Inspiration is the nice way of saying "Im taking your sh×t". That's why people confuse them on both ways, bc ultimately there damner the same thing. I do believe there are series out there that do Inspiration right, and Black Clover is not one of them.

I'm not here to defend Black Clover as I watch these videos for the comedy and am well aware of the BS tropes in Shonen and its fanbase. This is strictly regarding your quote that there was no Naruto before Naruto, yet seem to be oblivious to the fact that Naruto is a straight rip off of Togashi's Yu Yu Hakusho and HXH.
Sasuke and Kurapika's clan was slaughtered and they're both out for revenge. Phantom Troupe/Akutsuki a small criminal group with extremely powerful fighters. Hiei's Jagan Eye allows him to control minds, cast illusions like Sharingan, Hiei is also a fire user with red flame which later is upgraded into a black flames like Sasuke. Kurama in Hakusho is the 9 tailed fox demon inside of a human's body just like Naruto. What is the 9 tailed fox's name in Naruto again?
Yusuke shapes his hands and fingers in the exact position as Naruto and sticks it up people's butt like Naruto's 1000 years of pain. Asato Kido (Hakusho) can control his shadow and paralyze people like Shikamaru. Kakashi asks team 7 to steal these two bells from me, Netero asks Gon and Killua steal these balls from me. Chuunin exam survival, Hunter exam put on island survive for 1 week whilst also obtaining plates.
Naruto's Rock Lee has the same exact eyebrows as HXH Zushi, and always ends the sentence with the same exact word when talking to his master. Jin in Hakusho Demon Tournament arc badly wants a rematch with Yusuke but struggles to beat his current opponent, gets knocked down stands back up and soon afterwards is unconscious, same as Rock Lee wanting to fight Neji but loses the fight to Gaara standing upright and unconscious. Yu Yu Hakusho Minoru has a scalpel ability similar to Kabuto and also happens to be a doctor.
When Itachi fights Kabuto, Itachi traps him in a mind loop where he thinks he is fighting Itachi, same exact thing Kurama does to Elder Toguro.
Naruto's shadow clone technique is the same as Susaku's (Hajusho) technique "prism of seven". Chu is an all physical fighter that also happens to get much better at fighting whilst drunk just like Rock Lee. Orochi/Hisoka both creepy and give off that sort of pedophelio vibe. Illumi & Killua's brother relationship and Itachi & Sasuke. Bisuke is an old lady that uses her abilities to look younger like Tsunade, and both are extremely physically powerful.
These similarities are in the hundreds, scenes, abilities, story ideas and arcs. Way beyond the point of these are just coincidences.
Black clover is not really a good show by any means it’s just a mid shonen with good action and decent characters but that’s about it. I really dislike asta as the protagonist he’s so generic I even prefer Yuno even tho he’s generic too.

1.) Power of Friendship 2.)Near Death or Losing Situations & 3.) Emotions. They don't actually train to get these powerful spells, and in the case they do, it's always off-screen, which is what I consider lazy writing, and Mana Zone is basic Magic Spell. The Characters are 2 Dimensional Tropes. Like in a nutshell, that's what he was saying about Black Clover, and I can say more lol
