    Hi Jamie, I would love a video on cute casual looks. I usually wear rompers and dresses but would love ideas for days we go hiking or for a bike ride and then go to eat.

    Thanks for answering my question about crossbody bags so thoughtfully, Jamie! Appreciate it very much. Very helpful points. I realized that I tend to wear my crossbody right on my side. Oops! It does looks so much better in front or back. Great video. Thanks for answering all our questions. It is so helpful!

    In my opinion, it's better to carry a crossbody bag towards the front rather than the back, both for aesthetics AND for safety!

    I love a crossbody bag and the freedom (hands free) it brings. Being an hourglass I find a curvy bag the most flattering (as opposed to a square or angular shape) and those that sit just above or at my waistline look best. I found a holster style bag in H&M and love the way it sits right in the curve of my waistline, with an adjustable strap if I want to shorten and wear under the arm. The key when buying bags is to ensure phone, reading glasses and keys fit inside, so a little trial run in the store is important. 😉

    PJ mama- I am a mother of 4 18-22yo. I am also a healthcare provider. Outside forces bombard us with messaging. My suggestion is to frame the conversion around health and not beauty. We need to take care of ourselves inside and out. Water/hydration helps our body and function. Sunscreen protects our skin now and later (your 50 yo self will thank your 15 yo self for wearing sunscreen). Just some examples but stressing if you feel good you’ll look good. Health is the key. Beauty changes as we age but health remains. Sending you prayers of love and good mama vibes from one mama to another 😊

    To Pajama Mama, I have 2 daughters also, they are both in their 40s now. My oldest takes care of her skin and body, and always looks nice, but she seldom(very seldom!) wears makeup or jewelry, and is not swayed by fashion. She likes what she likes, and knows what looks good on her. My youngest is more like me, very ibto makeup, jewelry, and fashion. I think a big part of the difference is just who they, as individual people focus on and choose to spend energy and time on. The world would be a dull and visually boring place if we all focused on the same things. Your daughters will find their own personal style, as we all do. Challenging years ahead for you, but it is a wonderful thing to see who they become.

    Re dressing nice in playclothes: I think some simple jewellery always elevates an outfit. For me, a pair of stud earrings and a small pendant make me feel put together, even if I'm just staying home doing housework or gardening. (I realise this may not work if the grandchildren are very young and liable to grab at jewellery.)

    I am curious during the summer time I like to wear oversized summer blouses with linen pants, I like to wear it with thick straw belt on the OUTSIDE to help define my waist. Is this a fashion faux pas? Can you make a video or answer this question if/when it okay to wear the belt outside of your blouse. Thanks.

      I think it can be done but only if it looks good on you, which I will assume it does. As long as the blouses are not very flowy and leave bulky fabric under the belt I think they work. I will put this in my ideas list! Thank you! Sorry for the late response!

    Q&A: how do you wear the belt bags/ sling bags?

    • @nancyfeeser4653
      @nancyfeeser4653 Před 2 lety

      I meant the way people are wearing them high up as a crossbody. Feels awkward when I do it.

    “Moisture-wicking” and “breathable” synthetics- just marketing nonsense. Plastics can’t be made to have these characteristics. I like good old cotton knit for workout clothes (all I do is walking). I got two matching-shorts sets from H&M recently that are made of silk blends, they’re super comfy, but look put together. I ordered the matching trousers for one, too, so I have the three matching pieces.

      I get why you think it's a marketing nonsense because many things are these days but I do think they can weave the polyester in such a way to provide air flow and moisture wicking. I wear a lot of activewear and appreciate the moisture wicking properties and I really feel like it does what they say it does.
