I want to thank everyone who has given me feedback on what you think about try-on hauls and other suggestions!!! I really appreciate all of you and this is very helpful information for me to use when I'm deciding on future content.💖
I would love to see a video about how to style fall pant styles with fall footwear styles. I know about each individually, but what shoe goes with what pant silhouette? And what about those Chelsea boots? What do you wear them with considering the new fall jeans? Ps I like try-on videos especially if you show mix and match with things already in your closet. I think most people buy an item to match things they have or to make multiple outfits. Love your channel!
I would really love to see shop your closet videos using both classic and trending pieces. The only try on hauls I watch are from Walmart. That's where I buy my basics and I like to see what's currently in store before I go shopping or to place an order. I really enjoy youtubers who use Pinterest outfit inspiration and then create outfits with what they already have.
Hi Jamie, you asked the “haul” question and I’m looking forward to seeing how you move forward. Personally, I don’t view unboxings or hauls unless it’s late at night and I can’t sleep. You have included a few pieces from Target/Walmart in the past and I have enjoyed them. Mostly I appreciate how you keep me looking stylish, i.e. how you put pieces together and why, then I can apply your thinking to my own closet. Finally, at 75, I receive compliments about how I always look so put together 😘. The trends videos give me a little push to have some fun with my outfits and spark conversations too. Shop your closet with explanations as to why you put certain pieces together could be fun too. A video on tights could get pretty crazy from what I’ve observed in retail which could be fun. I can’t see you turning into a salesperson for Walmart/Target so if you decide to show some hauls I’m sure they would be well done. No pressure here 😂. Either way, you’re stuck with this viewer. 😍. Do what makes your channel grow!
This makes me so happy Susan! My goal is for people to be able to take what I do and apply it to their own closet and to find things they might have been missing! Thanks so much!
Shop your closet styling videos are amazing! I'd also like to see reviews of budget-friendly trendy accessories to update classic outfits. Or how to style older second-hand pieces in current/trendy ways. One more idea is Fall "Trends" that come back almost every year - because they totally do - and it's always safe to invest in those pieces, like leather, plaid, natural-fiber knits, corduroy, etc. OR trends that you predict will be dated next fall, so not worth spending money on. In general, I like to see content geared toward keeping pieces for many years and being creative with what you have, versus consumerism and hyping up buying lots of fast fashion that will fall apart or be out of style in a few months.
Hi. I live in New England and would love a video about styling tights (or layering pieces in general) for the colder seasons. Clothing hauls: It all depends on the formal of the haul. Some You-Tubers do it really well - select flattering outfits, provide helpful styling tips, put a lot of thought into the video, talk about the pieces that didn't work out, etc. Other You-Tubers are obviously doing hauls for $$ - they just grab a pile of clothes from 'whatever' store, twirl in the front of the camera urging you to buy the ill-fitting outfit through their link, no thought went into the video, they claim everything from "whatever' store is the best ever, etc. Hope this helps. :)
I personally enjoy try on hauls, I think they give a good example of the types of items that are in the stores (and that I may want to purchase). And I would also like to see more content around transitioning. I have the hardest time transitioning my wardrobe from one season to the next. I want to wear all the fall items, but also it can sometime still be really warm outside.
💟 I agree with the comment be!ow, I always love budget friendly try-on hauls!!! It's the both visual affect in contrast with just audio affect which peaks my personal interest! Thanks for your genuine pleasant nature Jamie & dedication to your viewers interests!!! 💟💜💟
Your content is always great Jamie - you're the real deal and a pleasure to watch. I'm not a fan of try on hauls and generally bypass any video with the word "haul" in the subject line. A lifelong thrift shopper, I feel that all the stunning garments I will ever need already exist, and it's the thrill of the hunt that inspires me. What also inspires are videos about what is trending, as it only takes a single garment, top-up piece or accessory to update my look. For example I found a great holster bag in-store at my local H&M that is more structured than a sling bag in that it fits crossbody tucking neatly and curveously into my waist, or I can shorten the strap to wear on one shoulder so the bag fits snugly under my arm. It's a clever low cost item, and allows me to browse the thrift racks hands-free. 😉 I'm also enjoying swapping colourful camera straps (which I already own) to some of my existing bags for a trendy new look. Still having fun with fashion in my 70s and always look forward to your videos, no matter what the season. A glorious spring day here - an early bonus - it's fun to watch your autumn styles emerge.
I’d like to see your closet and closet styling videos. Like maybe three stylings casual, workday, date night. How you choose those outfits and put it all together.
I like that your content is usually more about how to use different price point clothing and accessories by color and proportion to maximize versatility. You explain your objective viewpoint clearly and that allows me to maybe see more options in my closet and update or refine outfits. Thanks for being thoughtful about your vision while still encouraging our own personalization of wardrobing and trendy.
I do try-on hauls, so like them. But one thing I really appreciate about your channel is the practical advice when it comes to styling. So if you did do try on hauls, I would really enjoy it if they came with styling advice at the same time. And yes please to a video on tights! I'm wondering if their appropriate for women in their 50s and beyond.
I'd love to see a video on tights! :) Try on hauls are perfectly fine as long as they are not 90% of the channel's content. That way it looks like they very much encourage consumerism and I think that's why some people disapprove of them.
I LOVE try on hauls from specific stores at a time like “Target Try on Haul” “Loft Try on Haul,” etc. I actually wish you did do them! Idk why people don’t like them as I watch them and order off of their links all the time.
Yes please, tights. And while we're at it, how about styling dresses/skirts with different footwear: heels, flats, booties, OTK or tall boots, etc.? I dislike try-on hauls. I never watch them on other channels because they're mostly from stores I would never shop from. I shop from all different sorts of places, mostly online, and scour the websites looking for things that will fit into my wardrobe and look great on me. I buy new and vintage. I spend a lot and I spend a little. Also: What influencers like and look good in rarely suits my petite, curvy frame. While I do like to see great pieces, I would prefer to see the best of the best, in terms of style, price point and quality, and not just a bunch of stuff from one fast fashion chain or pricey department store.
I love your content. You are informative and clear. I think a hybrid try on that is geared toward showing styling rules and tips would be great, also shop your closet. Alyssa Beltempo and Lydia Thomlison do great instructional videos like you do. And def different color tights!
I would love to see a video on wearing tights, color and style. Also one specifically on styling sweaters. I live in the Phoenix area where, in the Fall, the most you would need to layer on would be sweaters. As far as try-on haul videos, I don't mind them, but I like the way you show styling and options. Thanks, Jamie.
I do like your try-on hauls! My favorites are Loft, Target, Nordstrom, and Anthropologie. It helps to see clothing, shoes, accessories, on someone, and how you put them together. I really appreciate the styling and trend content you also have. Thanks for all your content!
No for me for try on hauls. They encourage unnecessary spending. Prefer to see how to add a couple of trending pieces to refresh an existing wardrobe. Clothing is low spend for my family as inflation hits groceries, gas etc. I am in the process of losing pandemic weight, so there's a lot in my closet that is a few years old and starting to fit again. I love your style, and your common sense tips.
I enjoy your style blogs where you talk through how to wear different pieces. I’m in the UK so although it’s interesting to watch try on hauls, I would rather watch how to style clothes I have rather than be tempted to buy - especially when they are shops only in the USA (and I don’t want to pay for shipping or returns!). But I’ll keep watching whatever you decide to do 😀
First of all, I love your content and videos. I'm looking forward to the video on colored tights. I subscribe to many vlogs and I love the try on hauls. I tend to be drawn to more of the affordable stores such as Target, H&M and even the higher end lines of Walmart. I have ordered many items off of the links they post in the description boxes. Blessings!
I would love to know more creative ways for styling and layering cardigans in a contemporary way. I don't like try on hauls because they feel compulsive and wasteful buys, like a shallow thing to do. But if it is articles you bought because you really liked them and were already planning to buy (so not merely for the purpose of filming) that is always very cool, to see why and how you integrate them into your style. And like someone already mentioned, shopping one's closet is always very fun and inspiring, as is recreating a style with things you already have.
I enjoy your practical approach to style. I like try-on videos in general for the purpose of styling, but I don't like try-on Hauls. Hauls bother me because they encourage overconsumption. I am interested in repurposing, shopping my closet and second hand. I am now only purchasing strategically to replace items in my closet and even then I try to buy from consignment. Thank you for your content.
Yes on belt bag and tights video I like your format of introducing items you enjoy. I don’t like the pure try on haul when it feels like a big sales pitch to buy buy buy “this best thing ever”
Yes please Ms Jamie! A video with tights! :)) No hauls(is it the way to spell it? sorry, I am not English) for me ; I prefer your format and thank you so much for asking! :)) helene
I'm not a fan of try on hauls, they just feel like advertising to me. I like the way that your channel looks and feels like you have this very fashion/ style savvy friend, that you can just check in with to get some styling advise. The way that you 'influence' looks and feels very professional.
I live in south Texas. I would love to see some fall looks that give all the fall feels when it is 80-95 degrees out. 🥵 Also, I'm not crazy about try on hauls. I would like to be able to use what I have instead of being encouraged to buy new things. My will power isn't very strong as is, 😜 and I, honestly, don't need to add anything new. I just want to be able to make what I have look updated and attractive.
Love try on hauls! Maybe a video on layering winter clothes without being to bulky. Or a video on the different straps you can purchase to make any purse a crossbody bag. I've seen chains...leather and camera bag straps. Do they actually look good and are they comfortable? Some of the chains look as though they might dig into your shoulder. Thank you for asking.
Thank you! I am looking for a flat sling bag. I don’t want to invest too much on this trend, looking forward to your upcoming video. I also went no crease on my flowy pants.
As I have commented before, the trouble with videos like try on hauls is that not all your subscribers are from the US. CZcams is an international platform and we do not have many of your ‘old favourite’ stores like Walmart in the UK. What I love about what you do currently is THE WAY YOU STYLE pieces that I can get from other sources rather than the actual pieces themselves. Your tips are always practical but stylish. As others have commented, I am drawn to shop your closet more and more. Our poor planet just has too much consumption to deal with. Have you thought of apeing what Alissa Beltempo does and have shop your closet sessions where you style a real person using items in her wardrobe?
Thank you Dijana! I remember you! I will definitely continue to make it as relevant to international people as I can! My channel is about style and I will not go away from that. Thanks for following along with me!
@@YourGuideToStyle Since making my comment I had a look at the comments and can see a definite age divide between those who want hauls and those who don’t. Maybe those like me who are 60+ are drawn to more expensive materials that last longer/know what they like and are just looking for styling tips to stay up to date with trends and how items they already have can be worn. Interesting very few have mentioned second hand shopping. I source so many of my favourites: Paul Smith, Barbour, Kate Spade, Coach, brand new but second hand. It’s amazing what you can find if you know where to look and great to give a longer life to an item.
I would love to see you do a try on hual it seems that hosiery is making a huge come back. The pattern stockings the designers are coming up with is amazing I'd love some content on that
Thank you for your video. I also like shop your closet, but am also open to maybe instead of a haul focus on 2 or 3 items & styling it 3-5 ways. I also would be interested in styling with tall boots, scarves, belts, & bags.
I would love to see how to use summer pieces to transition to fall and use in the fall, in order to reduce costs and consumption and consumerism. I don't like hauls because it's too much consumerism, and promotes shopping addiction. I like see inspiration outfits and classic pieces with modern tweaks. I like to see shopping your closet videos.
Hi Jamie, really like your common sense content. Have to say I personally dislike sling bags - they just look awkward and distract from the outfit, imho. Aside from that, styling tights would be fun and I agree with other subscribers that hauls and shopping your closet are helpful. Keep up the good work Jamie.
I never really thought of that! Good question! It would be a little bit of a rocker look but definitely could be done! I was thinking black but you could do a pop of color if you wanted to be really daring, lol!
Thanks for this! I think the question is still out on tights with camel boots. Unless they're super thick, they look like nylons, which are very out. So it's hard to know what to do. On fall content, I'd love to see something on styling with faux suede. I have brown pants (skinny at the ankle, but not super tight) and a darker suede moto. I know you can put together multiple faux leather pieces, but what about faux suede? Okay with faux leather? With other faux suede? What about boots. I like videos I've seen where people do 10 pieces for 10 days or 12 piece capsule, etc. It encourages me to be creative and do more with less. I'm mixed on hauls. I've probably only found a couple of pieces at most that I've bought. Usually I just go through the links in the interest of time. I also think they promote consumerism, which we and the planet don't need. Thanks for asking!
Would love the belt bag/sling bag video - how to wear with jeans and dresses (under or over jackets? - when to do which). Definitely do not want 'hauls' and don't watch them. Firstly they seem vaguely distasteful, encouraging over shopping and often with fast fashion. Secondly, whatever people choose to show will likely not be the kinds of things I would want to see - I have my own unique body shape, style and budget. Would instead love it if you styled some of your friends or acquaintances, from within their own existing wardrobes. That'd be an awesome series - show people what to do with what they have and give suggestions of maybe one or two items that they could get that would fill out their existing wardrobes, making it more wearable - finishing pieces, shoes, accessories. Oh and Chelsea boots definitely come in pointed toe and have done for many decades, most famous are 'Beatle boots' - maybe it's an English thing.
I pass on Walmart & Lily Silk vids because, AFAIK, they're just overdone ads. But I've watched other affordable hauls, like Target, Kmart, thrifts. What I really like is when a different-looking guest is styled: Curvies, real tall/short, older/elderly/Kids, colors (skin, as well as seasons).
i love try on videos. my only problem is when the body shape is completely different from mine. Sometime a hint on how others can style the look is helpful.
Try on hauls especially budget friendly, I like try on hauls. I would like information on the wide leg trend for fall, like what sweaters, coats etc. I'm short so should I go with more cropped tops like I wore this summer? Thanks so much!
Hi Jamie, I always enjoy your videos, you give such great suggestions. I do like try on hauls, I would like suggestions on some good faux leather leggings. I’m not sure I want a pair for a number of reasons, are they hot, do you sweat in them and exactly how are they supposed to fit. Are they supposed to be extremely tight with no wrinkles in them, they just don’t really look comfortable. 🍁🍁🍁
I need help with sweater dresses- I bought a dark green knee length and a charcoal almost ankle length . I’m unsure what shoes go with these…. And do I wear tights??? Just need ideas!! I’m glad you don’t do try on hauls cuz sooo mannnnyyyy people do those. I feel like your videos seem like a stylish friend is giving me advice 😊
Thank you for saying that Kandi! I actually approach my videos like I am talking to a friend! :) A knee high boot would look great with the knee length one and an ankle boot or pretty flat would look great with the ankle length one. If it's really cold and you need them wear tights if not than don't! Either way works. As the season progresses I will talk about these things in my videos.
I love your How To’s. I would like to see how you would do a “haul”. I don’t usually watch those especially when they all say they wear xtra small and they don’t look like they do LOL. I bet you would have a different twist on it. I did not watch any CZcamsr Nordstrom videos. No interest for me. Glad I found you and I jump in your videos as soon as see them.
@@YourGuideToStyle I don’t have a Nordstrom near me and I don’t like to buy online. I am an in store shopper and like instant gratification of being able to wear my choice right way. 😊
I would very much be interested in your opinion of tights. What brands? How opaque? Which brand with be best with an open toed shoe like the Mary Jane clog (because the end of the tight would show). Good look for a short jean skirt? Thank you.
I like try on hauls so that way I can see how the item looks on a persons body. Sometimes just holding up a piece or seeing a picture of it but not on a person makes it difficult to see how it would look. IMO
Try on halls usually means garments arrive from on line orders .Once the video is done they get returned this is we’re the problem begin .Many of these returned clothes do not go for resale and end up adding to the thousands of tons of landfill waste .So please do not include them in your video’s .Thank you Alison Uk
I have always bought clothing items that are made from cotton, wool or silk. Now many clothes are made from rayon. Am I missing out? Many thanks for your response.
I do not think you are missing out. I am not a fan of rayon. It's cheap but lots of people love it. It is good for something breathable in the summer but it is very absorbent which I don't love. I prefer cotton, wool or silk and even linen is great.
People don’t like ‘haul’ types of video because those are usually related to wasteful spending, consumerism, and non-sustainable fast fashion. In the end adults usually don’t need to buy new clothes every season. Agree with other comments that shop in your closet type of video should be more accepted.
I also like try-on videos, as a good way to visualize styling, but I am not so keen on ”try-on hauls” that push selling. The word ”haul” simply has a somewhat negative connotation to me that indicates overconsumption.
I personally do not enjoy try-on hauls. I prefer content on taking new trends and thoughtfully incorporating them into your wardrobe, promoting mindful spending rather than excessive consumption.
I don’t like try-on hauls, I feel like they are just a long advertisement for certain brands or stores. I tend to try to wear clothes I have then add trend pieces as occasional pieces.
I don't like try on hauls in isolation. I wish people would show what it looks like on a hanger vs on a body. Can you help explain what to look for when an item is on the rack? I have a hard time visualizing what it would look like on a body. Therefore, I end up wasting A LOT of time trying things on when if I knew what to look for, I could be more efficient.
Q&A…how short waisted ladies can style a button down shirt. Tuck or not? Belt, what type? How to not look sloppy or outdated? Clothing hauls make me feel like I could never wear what is shown. I am older, 68, and have just shaved my head due to Alopecia. I want to be stylish and I cannot relate to these women.
I will turn off a “try on haul” because I feel the person is being an obvious influencer and just doing advertising for a fast fashion company. These companies are throwing out clothing as fast as they can not thinking about our earth. I respect the content of your videos and I’m glad you are not doing it.
I want to thank everyone who has given me feedback on what you think about try-on hauls and other suggestions!!! I really appreciate all of you and this is very helpful information for me to use when I'm deciding on future content.💖

I do not like try on hauls as I am trying to reduce spending and rampant consumerism. Yes to tights video!
I also like try-on hauls. It gives me ideas without having to shop myself

I like your format of introducing items you enjoy. I don’t like the pure try on haul when it feels like a big sales pitch to buy buy buy “this best thing ever”
yes to try-on hauls
A video on tights and how to style them would be great!
Also, I'm not crazy about try on hauls.
Or a video on the different straps you can purchase
to make any purse a crossbody bag.
Great! Did you see the sling bag in my Accessory Trends Video? czcams.com/video/_TXJ8do1Q-U/video.html
The pattern stockings the designers are coming up with is amazing I'd love some content on that
Love the format of your videos!
Thank you!
Would like more on styling tights. Thanks.
Thank you very much Marge!
I would like a tights video I have distressed jeans can you wear tights under them in the winter? And what color 🤔
I never really thought of that! Good question! It would be a little bit of a rocker look but definitely could be done! I was thinking black but you could do a pop of color if you wanted to be really daring, lol!
Tights for certain; and maybe how to make last years dresses look in style for this year. And I like try on hauls.
Thanks for your recommendation!
I love how you do try on hauls
Thanks for your thoughts.
Q&A: how to style cargo pants especially wide leg ones
Love to see something with tights .😀please
I like try-on hauls but would love it if you featured some stores which ship to Canada. 💖
I like whatever you do! Thanks!
I appreciate that!
I LOVE try on hauls I would much rather see a try on haul than photos of models.
Fall clothing for Seniors in warm climates.
i love try on videos. my only problem is when the body shape is completely different from mine. Sometime a hint on how others can style the look is helpful.
Thanks for sharing!!
Try on hauls especially budget friendly, I like try on hauls. I would like information on the wide leg trend for fall, like what sweaters, coats etc. I'm short so should I go with more cropped tops like I wore this summer? Thanks so much!
I would love for you to do a video on how to wear tights for women over 50.
Let me think about this and do some research and I will get back to you!
Would like to see a video on tights. 😊
Noted!
Thank you Nancy, you are too sweet! I would love to know why you don't like Nordstrom videos?
@@YourGuideToStyle I don’t have a Nordstrom near me and I don’t like to buy online. I am an in store shopper and like instant gratification of being able to wear my choice right way. 😊
style for body types
I love your content
I do like try-on-hauls
I loooove try on hauls!!!! Please do them. Must be haters saying they don't like try on hauls. Weird.
I love try on hauls, but I live in the UK and am afraid it would not be so easy or expensive to order from a US site.
Yes I-like try on hauls
Try on hauls seem like a push to purchase instead of styling whatever we already own.
I love your content but would also love try on hauls.
I would very much be interested in your opinion of tights. What brands? How opaque? Which brand with be best with an open toed shoe like the Mary Jane clog (because the end of the tight would show). Good look for a short jean skirt? Thank you.
Thank you for the ideas! I have some work to do! :)
I like try on hauls.
Like 👍
I dislike try on hauls as I prefer not to buy lots of clothes but shop my closet
I will turn off a “try on haul” because I feel the person is being an obvious influencer and just doing advertising for a fast fashion company. These companies are throwing out clothing as fast as they can not thinking about our earth. I respect the content of your videos and I’m glad you are not doing it.
Hi Jamie Just have subscribed to your channel had a sneek peek love the style thanks for sharing get some fab tips out off your clip Donna
Thank you and thanks for subscribing!
