I did this stuff to my late 2009 model 2500, best thing ever. Yes them back two nuts on that egr cooler a royal SOB...LOL, short extension and deep well you can get from the top along firewall, still pain in the arse. Was running a cool 13.8 mpg on highway, running around 20 mpg now. Used the mile tune, and trans unlock from H&S, used Sinister's EGR Cooler Delete also, great products, worth every penny.
I have heard a lot of good things about H&S and yes I would recommend them for sure. This truck is awesome now. Diamond Eye 5in sounds really good as well. $1700. on ebay.
They are common rail, they dont really have an injection pump like the older trucks did. They just have a high pressure pump that feeds the fuel rail and all the injector timing/firing is done electronically. The high pressure pump I believe is a CP3, but I could be wrong on that.
Well I will be doing the EGR, DPF, CAT, delete on this truck. No emissions in Oklahoma to worry about. Its a 4x4 as well. & yep it was windy as hell here today.
i agree just cause the tree huggers dont like to see the black smoke doesnt mean the most efficient engine available should pay the price the dpf burns more fuel than lettin a diesel run as it should my dads 06 cummins common rail gets 20+ mpgs with just a k&n drop in filter and a muffler delete thats just truck and his tools but it weighs in at over 8,600 lbs aint no gas engine gonna do that
Egr's are bad news they make a bunch of tar in your intake and gum up the system Need to do a pvc reroute also if it also feeds into the intake track.A good friend of mine installed a big turbo and didnt do the reroute and i believe he has atleast 2 quarts of oil in the bottom of the intercooler. You didnt mention anything about the coors can mods lol :)
u can jus unplug it all and run the tuner without unbolting it all off, but it looks nicer tho..but the 4in piping, dpf nox cat delete pipe is nice along with a dwnpipe. i gota 2011 350 megacab ws it alot of work to get the downpipe out and the dpf pipe..did all the piping go right in or did u have to force it, did u have to take the trans out , or the crossmember out, hb a fuel rail shim kit. and the sensors on trans
LOL hell ya 50 MPH winds all day. Just to buy the damn DFP fluid is bad enough then on top of that only 10 MPG how the hell is that better for everyone? The government needs to go back to the drawing board.
Sounded like you guys were in a hurricane I guess it is something you get used to. Interesting to see what the difference will be, the guys with 6.4s in Fords says it makes a big difference with EGR and DPF gone, a familly friend said he can melt the tires on his dually 4x4. I hate emmission crap the newer the trucks get the worse it gets. The Dodge dually has a nice low profile being a 4x4 that is nice especailly for a work truck.
Hi, i bought a 2012 Ram Cummins and would like to get everything deleted. I dont care about warrenty or anything bc I get terrible fuel economy with the stock setup. I live in North Dakota and police dont seem to strict about stopping piped pickups, but i was wondering how much trouble you can get in by deleting everything and if you've ever been stopped by the police for a check?
In California that's a $10,000 fine. I have a friend who did that to his 6.7 and 2 weeks later got busted. Darn EPA people. Why do they gotta ruin everything? Keep them vids Cummins
The MPG of that truck should be bumped up to around 16-18 highway without all the garbage on it, assuming the owner can keep his foot out of it. LOL easier said than done!
I just can't believe how this system really works. They take particulate diesel exhaust and introduce them through the intake. The problem is the particulates build up and clog EGR valves and cause major problem. What did they think was going to happen? The problem goes from Powerstrokes to BMW 335D Diesel engines. It really makes me sick that the mileage is that bad as well. 10 MPG in a new truck? Hell my VP powered 24 valve gets 21 MGP. I understand the hole concept of the design but damn.
I am not a dodge or ford guy but I will say if I had to chose it would be the dodge just because doing the egr delete on that cummins in 100 times easier then them damn fords.
:/ my stepdads semi has a detroit 60 series with that dfp system and its caused him more issues then anything it was down for a week more then once due to the engine revving up to clean it out every time he would stop but he got a truck built on a friday or something the whole thing has had problems sense it rolled off the line when he bought it but that issue right there no matter how uncommon was enough to turn me away from that system
Is that the wind in the back ground noise ? The 6.7s are quiet running but they also have quite a abit of electronic crap. I would be really leary of taking the emmission stuff off with the enviromental nazis especially in the USA. The mpg is pretty poor for being a 1 ton 2wd will be curious if it improves with the egr gone and the bigger exhaust. The 6.7 has a siamese block I don't like that makes the engine a throwaway. T
LMAO! " air filter is still pretty clean" as it's clogged with crap haha
I hope that California is watching & taking notes ;-)
thanks for telling what every part is and what it does that helps guys like me out a lot!!!
It was about $1,700 for everything in both videos, and well worth the money.

The charge oil in the filter is doing its job & catching the dirt. A dirty K&N flows better than a new paper filter.
Yes I have heard of MBRP....That is who I got my black stacks from for my project. Good stuff for sure.

what's the point of this emission stuff if it makes you burn more fuel?
these new diesels are crazy powerful
I like their product & have not heard any complaints from anyone.
I do agree with you that the powerstroke EGR is very difficult to get to.
Thanks for the video. That doesn't seem bad at all. I heard some guys having problems with head gaskets after doing the deletes.
Well I will be doing the EGR, DPF, CAT, delete on this truck. No emissions in Oklahoma to worry about. Its a 4x4 as well. & yep it was windy as hell here today.
This project was to increase fuel economy, Black smoke is wasted HP but does look cool.
Thanks for watching.

Ya but a dirty K&N air filter will flow better than a new paper filter any day. That charge oil on the filter is doing its job.
Looks Good , I can't wait to see smoke from those rear tires !!!
to things that every one needs when working on a truck coors and w-D40
Thanks for stopping by.
I am not for sure on that because it would depend on the tuner.
Disabled ratings or not, this is a THUMBS UP. That should make a really nice improvement to the truck.

I am not sure what shop labor would cost but the kit cost was around $1,700
Was this the same truck you showed us when you picked up a brand new on off the back of a flat bed? I can't wait for the second vid! Just awesome. Rob
I can not add anyone. CZcams is not letting me.
LOL hell ya 50 MPH winds all day.
Just to buy the damn DFP fluid is bad enough then on top of that only 10 MPG how the hell is that better for everyone? The government needs to go back to the drawing board.
Interesting video,EGR delete kit !!
my father and uncle grew up with the guy who founded MPRB i think they are a great product but we get a bit of a discount from them lol
Sounded like you guys were in a hurricane I guess it is something you get used to.

I will post it tomorrow night. I got the project done today.
looking great so far
my dad brother and uncle have it on there 5.9s and both my uncle have it there hemis and boy there nice
I only watch these videos just to see how many empty coors cans are layin around, LMAO!!! This guy wrenches just like we do here in Montana, Smile

great vid! can't wait to see part2!
very cool your the man thank you for all the vids

Not a chance at all. This is a farm truck used off road and not registered for highway use.
What are the chances of the epa/ dot catching you, its a felony if you do get caught
5" exhaust?! This thing makes my 2.5 4 cylinder turbo diesel look like a toy.
The MPG of that truck should be bumped up to around 16-18 highway without all the garbage on it, assuming the owner can keep his foot out of it.

Yep but my bed did not have hay forks on it, & my dash was black.
I am not a dodge or ford guy but I will say if I had to chose it would be the dodge just because doing the egr delete on that cummins in 100 times easier then them damn fords.
cool im sure youll make a vid im interested in seeing how well that works thanks
Fantastic !!
Hey Wayne didn't you buy that same truck. Cool vid and wow 10 mpg even withe 6 speed great Vid:-D
I bet it will too.
Coors good choice!!!! please tell me I'm not the only one to see that?
Thanks Steve.
That is correct.
nice work man
Does the EGR block off plate require a gasket?
Is there any gasket required at the egr block off plate?
looks so easy, looks like cummins designed it to be removed :p
exellent video
Question. Do the 5.9Ls have DPF also or just the 6.7?
:/ my stepdads semi has a detroit 60 series with that dfp system and its caused him more issues then anything it was down for a week more then once due to the engine revving up to clean it out every time he would stop but he got a truck built on a friday or something the whole thing has had problems sense it rolled off the line when he bought it but that issue right there no matter how uncommon was enough to turn me away from that system
Sad when the engine compartment is cleaner than the interior

Hi their what kind of injection pump does the 6.7L cummins have?
I doubt any smoke off the tires this is not my truck.
you can understand how i feel; i live in california
cool vid thanks~ Looks like your your boys all buy their hat's at the same place. lol!
It will be soon.
thats gonna be a good running truck when ya get done good sounding too does it have the urea tank on it just wondering?
why is the top of that k&n dirty?? is that just from dirty hands ?
or has dirt passed through the filter ?
Thanks.
kick ass videio! thanks
I was thinking the same thing.
why delete the EGR anyway? and why where they a problem on the 6.0 powerjokes?
So when do we get to see and hear the exhaust?
Yes 2 o-rings
The EGR was easy but not the DFP.
Thumbs up.
Can we get a video of all the truck you have and drive
never haerd of them ever hear of MBRP? if so what do you think of them
cool man!
depends on how you treat it. If you were to dog the shit out of it then maybe.
Exhaust Gas Re-circulator, Diesel Particulate Filter
That is when I add ARP studs.
Yep I will be deleting that too.
Yep today was a real bitch getting the DPF off & only jack stands to work with.
I blocked off my EGR on my peugeot only because it shits up the inlet manifold though, no power difference as it only worked at part throttle.
Nope it is a friends feed truck.
Ah ok, can a garage/shop do that for me? And how much would it cost roughly?
That truck must be candy cane's replacement?
how many miles on it before you started the mods?
A bull hooked it with his horn.
This one is a little different than the one I had.
That was a clean air filter?
Maybe.
what band of exhaust?
Diamond Eye
I think it around 30 thousand on it.
I'm sorry for everything
