I usually like your reviews and this one is a good review... But your open comment about a fake pandemic is uncalled for! I lost my brother to corona. He was a nurse in NY. My wife is also a nurse anesthetist and since my brother's passing I've been so worried that my wife might get sick and bring it to the family. I guess it's a little closer for me but there has been a lot of deaths and for you to call it fake pandemic man you've gotta stop drinking the koolaid!
The virus is real & is life threatening, but for the media & politics to make it Political was wrong. The country didn't need to be shut down, look at Taiwan and Sweden for example... I lost 2 friends from the Flu & Pneumonia in 2019... but non from the Chinese Coronavirus. I have friends & family that recovered from it... The Political Pandemic is FAKE...
@@ShaneJMcNair I appreciate your reply I do agree the politics have probably made this a lot worse because they didn't take action sooner! Look at south Korea they took action as soon as they knew about the virus and had very limited infections. The other countries you mentioned one doesn't have very good reporting and the other doesn't have very much traffic during the winter. As far as the US goes we've already lost more than triple than the flu of 2019 not to disrespect the loss of your friends. I guess since my wife is in healthcare and on the front line I have a more inside view and the way my brother died and the speed of it is scary. I know some people that have recovered from it but the amount of death is alarming. It's not for some dumbass that keeps going on TV with his personal physician team and acting like it's nothing then say it's going to be worse than he could ever imagine and all the other lame comments need to stop!
@@ShaneJMcNair actual swede here. Sweden has had more covid related deaths than Norway, Denmark and Finland (our neighbouring countries) put together. Other european countries are starting to open their borders to all but Sweden, and sadly for good reason.

@@andrewwolf4963 yeah I think we all had it as well. All the family had fevers (me, wife and 2 boys) we didn't go to the ER either ( mostly because my wife was scared we would be worse off). Yeah my wife works in Durham NC and they shut the OR down to only emergency cases and forced her back to ICU cases around it every day. I have a few friends that think this is all BS as well I don't talk to one of them anymore because he thinks my brother's passing was something different and keeps saying some conspiracy BS. Sometimes I think the internet makes dumbasses even more dumb!

Gear ratios can be deceiving, small reels and small spools with high ratio speeds often have lower inch retrievals than large spool reels. The slower large reel spool ratio recovers as much line per-turn as smaller compact reel models with higher speed ratios. The other point to consider is line diameter; large diameter line increases line return because the larger diameter fills the spool faster than small diameter line.
Most new reels I own puts ipt on the box. Also with smaller line you have a higher average retrieve rate because the spool diameter doesn't decrease as much as with big line.

Mine lasted no more than 15 minutes. Line guide insert fell out. Not to mention my 12# flourocarbon kept slipping between the spool and the frame on the handle side. It’s going back to Kastking
Great review. I just wanna comment on the "tapered" line guide. It's a "last minute" innovation before we made the final production. The shap of this line guide is totally different. Think of a sand clock. The line guide is wider insdie of the reel, getting narrow in the middle and finally opening up on the outside. We'll make a demonstration video about the benefits of this patented design. I'll leave the question open for you guys to think about it just for now. ;)
Shimano SLX DC HG or Daiwa tatula 100H better for small 1/8oz and 4/8oz lures

Don’t get me wrong this reel looks nice but they should of not put the “KASTKING” logo on the breakside. Kinda makes it look tacky... You are right too much logo

FYI - Manganese bronze is often specified over other bronzes for its exceptional longevity. It can withstand wear and corrosion better than most other bronzes thanks to its added manganese, and while not heat treatable, it boasts an impressive strength profile. It is resistant to seawater corrosion (though less so than silicon bronzes), and is both hot forgeable and castable, Also, it must be reliably lubricated to work optimally, as abrasive conditions will weaken the alloy’s integrity.
Just got mine and I must say it isn't that smooth as my other comparable reels. Got to take it out real world to see if it smooths out with use.

Has to beat 43IPT to beat the Revo Rocket Beast, and 41IPT to beat the regular rocket in order to be the “fastest”. Definitely beat the rocket’s price point, and hopefully size 😂
That makes no sense. It is the gear ratio and rotations per turn not the retrieve rate. Line diameter and spool size change the retrieve rate. This has the fastest rotations per turn.
Ebay sells these reels also. Theres a KastKing here in NY that sells them.
Interesting, I like the idea of the tapered line guide. The other day I saw another version of the gh100 on aliexpress, and it has a tapered line guide. I took the Calcutta conquest out twice so far, and both times didn't get anything. Damn shitty unstable weather here.

I couldn't find it either.
I generally like KK reels but this one i bought and it started to fail in multiple ways very quickly. First the thumb button failed, i took it apart and found that the design of the parts that re-engage the spool when you turn the handle was a failure as it would often stick down and not engage the gears. I modified it by gluing in a piece of plastic which fixed the problem. Then the anti reverse began to fail. Then it began to make a grinding sound and when i opened it up i found that the main gears and the pinion had worn down. Either I got a lemon or this reel is just not very well built in the parts that count.
Which one was it? The newer reels are made by Banax, not sure what the first models were
@@THEREELTEST Ive owned all three speed demons, the first two models were pretty good for the price, it was the elite that failed three different ways.
Manganese bronze alloys, such as C863, can operate under very high loads and speeds

I'm shocked that the handle is only 90mm. The high ratio must come from the giant main gear/teeth to its pinion gear/teeth. I do like that the pinion rests between two bearings. The profile height is excellent, the width is more than manageable and the fit/finish is decent. I can only hope the tolerances are equal to the task.

I got the old speed demon and It came out of the box broken (thumb bar didn't always lock down and it made a skipping noise when casted from inside the reel) I contacted them and they never got back to me. I'm not a fan of kastking but good review can't wait to see the field test.
What good line to run on this
Thank you for telling me about a little brake pegs. This greatly improved my casting. I still don’t like the gap between the spool and the body, any suggestions for that?
I havent casted mine yet, too many people out and took all my usual spots this weekend but Im going to try this week.
THE REEL TEST overall my like of this reel has grown. Caught 5 nice bass on it since Saturday. Still don’t like the space between the reel and frame, but it is a nice reel.

Try it especially bassinator or royale legend elite...for me the bassinator is better than the revox, tatula or currado k and off course the mgxtreme2 or steez is way better than any kastking reel

It’s spool is only lighter than other reel’s because it has a 2 piece main shaft.... if you took the second piece of shaft out then it’d weigh more.
well duh... a shorter spool shaft reduces weight, thats no big mystery
THE REEL TEST what I’m saying is that you don’t gain any of the benefits of a lighter spool because it’s not. It’s just split into 2 pieces to give the illusion of a lighter spool when in reality it’s not.

Piscifun just release a bfs based reel called the Spark and Spark Pro. Most likely not a true bfs but should do for entry bfs like myself.

What is the point of having that much high gear ratio when it can't cast to that distance like shimano reels.. I would like you to make a casting battle test between this reel and any shimano high end reel.. Thanks..
It casts unbelievably far. The distance is hard to believe at its cost. I know because I have had it for a week now. There is a reason it has highly accessible brakes....your gonna need them!

Being 6 ft 4 and weighing 235...6.5 ounces is a bit heavy for me...after 30 minutes of casting I'd b wore out.

Looks like a nascar with all those stupid logos. More “show” than go per usual from KK. I fell into the hype early on and bought just about all of their baitcasters, including the original speed demon. All but one have broken and been replaced then sold, the speed demon broke twice. So, with that said I’ll never buy another one, it’s shimano or 13 fishing for me !! Great video tho per usual!!
I fell for a couple of their reels too. It's garbage. Cheap Chinese cookie cutter reels.

The Royale Legend Elite (the baby blue one) was based off the Banax Titanic. Being a Malaysian I actually got to pick it up in a tackle shop. Honestly wasn't impressed. It sold for like 180 ringgit, roughly fifty dollars. Just thought you'd find it interesting!

Never buy kastking. I broke my original Speed Demon 3 times, then decided to buy a rod because .. I've had my ugly sticks for a year. Rod tip broke in 4 days. Terrible company
