- In this video, I restore an ancient ax that has been in the ground for many years. First, I removed the rust in acid, then smoothed the edges with a grinder and polished the surface.

Wow
hi
That cool
I need name of this song plz
Restoring it doesn't mean reshaping it into a modern axe... that's reusing.
Thats what i hate aboyt modern restoration channels
I was about to comment the same, except i probably use the term "repurposing".
I would only consider "restoration" as fixing it into almost original condition.
Turning a Classic old axe into a piece of some Edgy's collection.
They’re ruining it.
Technically he restored it before he changed the shape
Beautiful old axe destroyed, real shame!! That old axe head was perfect!!
Yeah , nice and wide. Now its more like a hatchet
Looked like a brownie after all the rust tho
@@aterrarian5863 as long as rust doesn't become structurally relevant all you have to do is clean and oil it. (or otherwise protect it)
What's the name of this song?
I like the rhythm of the drums.
Rhythm of the drums
Its cool I'd like to know as well
I think the original shape was fine after the clean up.. why cut??
Agreed 💯
He's most likely a hipster, and 2...he has no idea wtf the word restoration means.
😎
*removes rust* oh that’s cool
*puts a new shape over* NO DONT RUIN IT
Not really a restoration as much as a modification into a new blade. Shame too. The original looks like it could split skulls with ease!
You ruined an awesome ax head when you cut it down. I thought you were just gonna restore it.
He also ruined a nice chisel using it to scrape rust off
That's what I'm thinking, completely changed the type of head. If it was just scrap, understandable. But why waste material like that.

Restoration would be restoring it to what it was*
As soon as you marked and cut it, it stopped being a restoration…
That was a very unique ax until you chopped it up. I suspect that it was very old .
That water after the electricity looked like the bog of eternal stench from labyrinth
Fun to make your own stuff, sometimes, but that is not exactly "restoring" it: it is now a *very* different tool...
This is more of a reclamation, really almost a repurposing.
Ah yes repurposing iron ore into an axe
Didn’t take long to find this comment. Glad I didn’t have to be the one to point it out.

My husband is a top machinist. I’ve seen him turn old tool beautiful by his hands alone!!not using machines just hand tools.
Very good!!! Way better then the very old and ugly look. Not everything old needs to stay the same, love taking super old and ugly pieces and giving them a new and way better look. Repainted old wooden drawers that had the same ugly faded paint still on, or clean cut and paint old metal pieces also!! Everything needs a new updated look!!
Why this looks so PROFESIONAL 🤙
The electrolysis process is badass never saw that before bravo
Seriously? How

I would call this a resto-mod of a really old axe.
Physically hurt that he cut into that blade 😕
Dude really just took a classic felling axe and turned it into some edgy "Viking" axe.
Caralho
Old is an understatement that is from prehistoric times
More like the d destruction of a perfectly good ax head
Yeah. This is like saying youre "restoring" an old ferrari by cutting the roof off of it.
First time iv actually seen someone restore something correctly
You obviously don't know wtf a "RESTORATION" is then.
Restoring something is bringing it back as close to original as possible...not cutting it into a whole other thing.
You and this guy are dense.
Next...we take the Mona Lisa and add neon light's and glitter.
Axe head recovery is great
When you finally get something good, enjoy it,
Don't always go looking for something better.
Why destroy an old axe just to end up with a modern axe?
That is so genius with the paint spray 😳
Should have shown it all the way through.
Yesterday only I studied about Electrolysis in my Class. And today I saw it . It's amazing.
You should look up the difference between restoration and modification
Finally making something under 60 second video... Others make like 40 minute videos this is what I want
I love the part where he showed the result
I LIKED YOUR METHOD HOW YOU GOTED RID OF RUST
Its safer to use baking soda for electrolysis because it creates carbon dioxide. Table salt creates chlorine gas aka mustard gas.
And the link of vídeo? 😓😓
Ja.
The non-restored version of this axe would have dealt more damage. That rust damage hit different.
what song
I have one of these old ax back in my days.
That's all good and great but why'd you cut out fragments of the head! Just sharpen the original shape. It'll work the same way.
my brain for some reason: put your hands in that water with high voltage! 🥰
It’s a cool video but I do wish you would have kept it the original shape so it could keep its worth.
The liquid was water right? Im unfamiliar with electrolysis, and how it works.
Yes yes it is, distilled water preferably. In a nutshell, NaCl is added so that it'll become Na+ and Cl- ions and helps with the electrolysis process.
I like it 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Very nice
Nice to have the equipment to do that restoration.
What's the song name
The title of video: restoraton of a ax
Description : restoraton of a axe
Spot anything?
Was going so well until you took out the saw.
Wow what a cool AX you got there
I love the spray paint trick
For 100 rs axe u r wasting 10,000 rs for restoration 😂.
I do samething.. bit bigger scale, restoring a 51 M37.. the electrolysis
awesome restoration
What do you do with the corrosion stuff that came off of it ( in the wash)?
Great axe. Good restoration ... Until it got cut up! Wtf?
It hurt when I saw the template going on
Looks like it's been rusting for a long time...
You cut...it's not restauration it's destruction.
Axe glowup?🤩
Let it sit in white vinegar for a few days. It will clean it up a lot better.
Not really a restoration
More like making a new..totally different axe from a rusted old axe
.....still cool tho
How is it a restoration?
He fckd that axe up
Am I the only one that liked the axe before he cut it?
Why did you destroy it at the end?
Holy shit, a guide how to obtain HL2 and Portal 2 toxic liquid
Where had that axe been to get that filthy
At least you know it’s not Vibranium!
Vinegar works great at getting rust off too
So does an angle grinder with a wire brush wheel.
I thought that was a brownie at first 🤣
At first glance I thought it is strombreaker restoration
This axe is soaked in cola or acidic liquid for few days
Naturally rusted steel does not look like that.
Use sulphuric acid for good electrolysis process.
Wow amazing 👍👍😆
Why did you cut that old axe head?
thats not actually restoration. thats augmentation
That's Nothing Like Restoration.. Not Even Close.
the salt water after the electrolysis look like the poison water from portal 1&2 lol
Salt water and vinegar are a bit slower but it's easier and less expensive.
The tank of water looked like my toilet after 5 tacos
