🪓 Amazing restoration of an old ax

  • In this video, I restore an ancient ax that has been in the ground for many years. First, I removed the rust in acid, then smoothed the edges with a grinder and polished the surface.
    This activity is performed by actors in a controlled environment. Please use caution if you plan to replicate.

    Fun to make your own stuff, sometimes, but that is not exactly "restoring" it: it is now a *very* different tool...
    This is more of a reclamation, really almost a repurposing.

    Very good!!! Way better then the very old and ugly look. Not everything old needs to stay the same, love taking super old and ugly pieces and giving them a new and way better look. Repainted old wooden drawers that had the same ugly faded paint still on, or clean cut and paint old metal pieces also!! Everything needs a new updated look!!

    Its safer to use baking soda for electrolysis because it creates carbon dioxide. Table salt creates chlorine gas aka mustard gas.

      Yes yes it is, distilled water preferably. In a nutshell, NaCl is added so that it'll become Na+ and Cl- ions and helps with the electrolysis process.

    🇪🇸 Hay que reconocer que cada uno hace con sus cosas lo que quiere, pero también hay que reconocer que si es un hacha antigua y de una buena firma no se debería modificar, lo mejor es que si puedes te compras un hacha moderna como a ti te gusta y conservar un hacha antigua y original, que ahí es donde está el verdadero valor del hacha.🪓👍
