FromSoftware be designing random normal enemies that are cooler than 99% of all main characters in fantasy.

The dual sword variant ringed knight, a nightmare when i meet him, but his swords are really gooooood.
I don't like that when using both swords, their damage is reduced by 40%, which causes the total damage to increase by only 20% compared to using this weapon with one hand. The total damage is also far from the highest.
The fully upgraded version of the ringed knight paired greatswords can kill phase 1 Soul of Cinder in two combos.
I didn't find them bad at all. But the place with the multiple shield using ones... Now that's a nightmare

Banished knight comes in dual wielding greatswords styling with swagger. While, Ringed knight brings his dual colossal swords showing off who’s the true badass.
The Ringed Knight's swords remind me of Kratos' Blades of Chaos.

Don’t think it would change to much but would love to see the castle sol variant of the twin banished knight. Because he can teleport
😂 oh trust it will change a lot he’s mini boss level, has enough hp to survive and hits extremely hard, as well as if you get him down to a certain hp level he’ll teleport away and heal to a full hp bar
It would change a whole fucking lot, that knight is a super saiyan!

Probably against the straight sword and spear variants it would be definitive. But against the powerstancing colossal swords variant I doubt it would change anything. All that knight needs to do is just hit that Banished Knight once (even the Castle Sol variant) and he'll stance break him. And seeing that he doesn't even poise break, despite how many times that Banished Knight hits him, none of his wind ups will be interrupted either.
The problem here all these other commenters seem to missing is the stance breaking mechanic that only ER knights are vulnerable to. Make DS susceptible to it too or remove it all together and you won't even need the ghostly teleporting Castle Sol variants. The Banished Knights would win 9/1.

It was crazy! And I like that this is not just a battle of "elite" enemies, but also a battle between those who took the side of the dragons and those who declared war on the dragons.
Watching that Dual Sword absolutely obliterate "Mister Whirlwind" was therapy to me. Not so fuckin tough when their twenty attack combo's cant stagger.
It was so glorious to see the destroyer get destroyed

Enemies in ds3 don’t have a stance break state. It only applies to certain bosses like Yhorm or Midir. Certain bosses can be opened up for a riposte if you hit them on the head enough times, though, like Dancer or Oceiros.

I wasn’t sure about the other two, but the one power stancing ultra’s was both a source of ptsd and a clear victor from the start.
I think these characters were the wrong choice... The Elden Ring faction should have chosen the Castle Sol Magic and Acrobatic Troupe. They are the first, second, and third masters of Sol Castle, respectively. Their weapons and abilities include red-eye teleportation dual swords, red-eye teleportation long spear, and red-eye teleportation sword shield. They have the strongest stats.

Not being able to be stance broken is a huge advantage DS3 enemies have. It's kinda unfair to boost their health this way.
Dude ER enemies hit more often than they don't, I'd say it's pretty balanced.

I wouldn't say that. According to my observations, the average resistance of elite enemies in the Elden Ring is higher than that of elite enemies from Dark Souls 3.
ER enemies are generally more aggressive and many DS3 enemies stagger after every hit
DS3 enemies have 0 poise and stagger on pretty much every hit
Ringed nights are still looking based AF

Imagine a mod that includes all the dark souls enemies and bosses and weapons in Elden Ring.
Either a clusterfuck or a awesome time.... or both.
While I sincerely doubt it would happen I hope the Elden ring dlc brings backs the memory mechanic from sekiro allowing you to rechallenge bosses but they make it include every souls boss in history (minus sekiro due to the extremely different combat system). A lot of “souls fans” have only played Elden ring and it would be a great way to show what they’re missing out on.

@@Detriax god forbid people wanna have fun. Besides parralel worlds/universes is nothing new to souls games. They’ve been doing that since demon souls as all the messages and ghosts you see are from players in other worlds. For most of the bosses it wouldn’t take that much work especially the ones from DS3
Rings knights are one of my favourite enemies in all of the DS series. That being said, without the dual colossal sword ringed knight, the banished knights have a little more stopping power.
Those ringed knights are built different,they also have the most bad ass looking armor out of all the knights in all of fromsoft games next to black knights from dark souls and crucible Knights from elden ring
Im impressed the banished knights were destroying till the end when they went up against the giant dual sword ringed knight, but im still impressed how well the banished knights did, i wanna see the teleporting castel sol banished knights vs them tho, i feel like ut would be a interesting fight
The shield banished knight seems to be having an issue when using the shield to cover himself, they still hit him regardless, I think using the teleporting red eyes banished knight would be a better fit since they are the strongest and more skilled banished knights tho
It was very good, I hope you can see more fights of this type, you could bring the knights of lothric vs halltree knights or, the pontiff knights vs ancient hero of zamor, the knights of the cathedral vs crucible knights. (Note: For some reason the Knights of Lothric and the Cathedral's who use Greatsword hate you and will want to follow you to the end of the world, but their weapon is very good)

The fact that Dark Souls enemies can't be staggered gives them a huge edge in these fights

The result of the teamfight makes sense. Banished Knights are an order of knights but they fight alone. The Ringed Knights fought a war against fucking ancient dragons together
The Ringed Knights with the Spears are nasty with unlimited poise from their Dragon shields. Love the Ringed City, best FromSoft DLC yet.

Man, the DS3 NPC movesets in general look much more badass.
The weapons sound way cooler too
The weighty movements help alot with that.
The way I see it, they are a fairly good match for eachother. Ringed knights have the clear weapons advantage with two of the knights wielding a shield and the other with dual colossal swords, whereas the banished knights have the skill advantage showed by the way they use their powers and skills together. The dual greatsword variant with those wacky spinning moves along with the use of fire on top of wind moves for the halberd variant.

i noticed in these videos where dark souls vs elden ring mobs are usually the dark souls mobs do a lot more poise damage

The banished knights are, without a doubt, skilled and traveled, born survivors... but the Ringed Knights fought and won a war against primordial dragons alongside actual gods.
this was great, but you should have used the dual-wielding greatsword Spectral Banished Knight from Castle Sol that teleports.
It is completly unfair that Banished Knights get to stagger while Ringed Knights have inifinite poise; and even with that it's a draw
I wouldn't call that last fight a draw but hey some people need to cope...

I just snuck past dual wield ring knight first try, i didn't even try to take his weapons. Bro is just Kratos but with larger bigger blades, my little lothric toothpick longsword dex build wasn't going to hurt him.

I don't care what people say, it will always be unfair to boost the health of enemies that can almost never stagger just so they can have the same amount of health against enemies that stagger easier than them.
Yea ds3 enemies and bosses can’t get stance broken, that’s a big enough advantage already so why boost their health by like double?

You don’t see the issue there? Due to Elden rings horrendous scaling one end game elite enemy could 2 shot an elite enemy from any former game if they didn’t buff the health. That would completely defeat the point of the fight in the first place. You also make it sound like they can’t just adjust the poise for Elden ring enemies.
Ringed knights do not have poise, so it is justified

Also did u missed what I said? The fact that ringed knights barely staggered should have been enough reason to not buff their health bar in the first place.
The most interesting thing is that when Gael killed everyone in Ringed City, the only knight from Ringed City left was the one who used 2 colossal swords.

Ringed Knights just have unlimited poise. Should’ve buffed the Banished knights poise so they stop getting staggered.
The stance break mechanic is exclusive for a handful of bosses and enemies in ds3. Everything in ds3 also deals metric tons of poise damage so elden ring representatives always end up getting bullied but most people are biased and don't care.
@@multiflekswrong. Spear moveset was being bullied a majority of the time because he has no hyper armor besides the shield ability.
Straight sword variant clearly suffers no hyper armor so he was destroyed because Banished Knights have tons of hyper armor.

@@multifleksI noticed this exactly when people were praising Midir and other DS3 bosses that lacked the poise system, I mean the Knights should have at LEAST done the same amount of poise damage to their opponents beit Ringed doing as much PD as the Banished or Vice-versa

Right away I see an issue where the spear ringed knight's poise buff from the shield does not work as it does in DS3
I am genuinely curious about the difficulty of managing the poise values of imported assets since it is a big deciding factor in these match ups

The only reason banished knights win is because they can spam their ash of war thanks to it staggering enemies at the beginning and having high hyperarmor which keeps interrupting ringed knights ashes of war, remove that factor and ringed knights win easily everytime, which you can see in the dual sword wielding variant fight and in the 3v3
Since stagger wasn't a system for enemies the same as it is in elden ring either you should make both staggerable or neither, not very fair when one is allowed to do damage + poise damage while the other isn't. So much free damage was given to the ringed knights because you didn't modify their poise.

Crucible knights(boss level can't be compared to normal enemy/mini boss knights of ds3).
@@disparu6007 Gundyr would flatten the crucibles but he should be paired with an enemy that can be juggled otherwise his moveset will be wasted.
most of the time the reason why Elden Ring mobs lose is because of the Stance break mechanic, if DS3 mobs or other Souls mobs had the same mechanic then I think the Elden Ring mobs would win 95%

I love Radahn's swords but they're just not the same as RINGED KNIGHT DUAL GREATSWORDS. I miss feeling like an actual freight train barreling towards, and then through, some unprepared host and his friends.

Both need to be defeated before you can level up, both hate Black Firebombs, and both guard similarly sized doors.
The first two fights felt relatively fair, but the dual greatsword ringed knight just felt unfair due to them being incapable of being staggered

Banished Knights are pretty good enemies, I'll give them that, but...there really is no beating the originals. The Ringed Knights are probably my favourite enemies in all of Soulsborne.
Bro Ringed Knights are DLC enemies. The real counterpart to banished knights should be Lothric/cathedral knights or something.
