- We check out a stately penthouse on the Upper East Side that seamlessly blends old world elegance with modern amenities. Designed by Patrik Lonn, this home is a loving yet thoroughly modern homage to classic New York Design.

- And I'm Beth Benallout from the Corcoran Group. Welcome to Robert AM Stern's new masterpiece at 20 East End Avenue.
- This glorious penthouse is over 6,050 square feet and features five bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms.
- With luxurious features at every turn.

- You step off the elevator onto a private landing that opens up to this immense entertaining gallery with three sets of French doors leading you out to a beautiful viewing terrace with southern views of the skyline and the East River. The home is graced with 12 foot ceilings, beautiful detail all around, including rift and quarter-sawn oak floors in a herringbone pattern, flooring that runs throughout the entire home. And from here, you can glimpse two entertaining spaces. The dining room and the living room.
- And what a living room it is. The 12 foot ceilings continue, giving it a real sense of grandeur. It's located on the southeast corner of the penthouse, which means amazing natural light through these eight oversized windows. the space is great but the views suck. east river, Roosevelt island, and the power station. with an unobstructed view of Queens? you'd be better off on the queen's side looking at Manhattan.

That Grand Terrace does look amazing but I'm pretty sure it's not just for that one Penthouse apartment, I'm pretty sure everyone shares that space.

Yeah but i think it d be neat to take all that superexpensive looking stuff and do a design like out in colorado or nebr.rural areas where you take like that marble and use cheaper materials imitation but some imitation looks real to see how close you could make it look like that and how much discrepancy in price you could get. I know most expense is location. Why letterman lived in conn. Like that chandelier my mom had a silver one that didnt look all that different. The thing i like about this show its fun to dream when you dont have money. Another thing there were 2 elderly bachelors that farmed near our farm in rural nebr. Was a dump from the beginning.never been painted. My dad described the interior as kind of unbelievable. One whole wall was all black from a fire theyd had. Id like to see these real estate people do their sales tactics on this house.on this show and try to convince the public what a unique and unusual and what a fantastic place that was. Ratings might be interesting.

"entertaining areas" "Perfect to entertain"... I don't know, I thought that a house's function was to live. Like yeah, sure there's going to come people for a visit sometimes, but I'd rather be sold a place with "living areas" "perfect to enjoy a family/couple afternoon" "comfortable" than "entertain entertain entertain.

so this has to be between 79 and 84 on the east end drive. As far as neighborhoods go it's a big "so what". nothing to eat no shopping. all you get to see is the top of all the older ugly buildings. The Interior is great, 4000 sq ft of rooftop? that's really unusual. I'd air b&b it for 5000 a night.

Robert Stern put his name on this? Expensively bland. Amazingly the most attractive features are the full height curtains everywhere.
