The biggest question is why are the Premier League influencing getting rid of replays in round one and two??? Premier League teams don't enter until round three, so what happens before then should be of no concern to them.

    • @stretfordender11

Most Premier league fans that go games like replays as well. It’s just pundits that don’t want to travel to games. The same people ask for penalties straight away. All so they can get home early. These people don’t care about tradition.

It's not exactly like the big clubs put out full strength teams. Usually a bunch of kids, some reserves and a few stars they're looking to get fit. They're worried about fixture congestion, yet play a completely different XI in an FA Cup game on a Saturday to the one they field in a UCL group game midweek. If they were playing their first team in the Cup, i get their argument, but its complete BS

Let's not forget Man Utd withdrew from the FA Cup in 1999 in favour of competing in some FIFA World Cup challenge competition or other. European and World Cup football is very BIG but so is the FA Cup with all it's famous history. Before making these decisions to so call evaluate the competition - Just for once think about ALL concerned ... every club and most importantly the paying supporters. For what my opinion is worth - I would do away with extra time, go back to all ties kicking off at 3:00 pm Saturday afternoon with replays in the Week 7: 30 pm kick off, Semi Finals to be played on the same day on neutral grounds ... we have some great new stadiums now with great facilities .. just dont overcharge, the Wembley Final to be played at the END of the season kick off time 3:00 pm.

Absolutely shambolic. They'll stop the non league clubs from participating next because its an embarrassment on their brand if they loose. So many people rely on the FA Cup to go to old Trafford or the Emirates because day to day life doesn't make it possible. So you see football through the eyes of your own club. the fact that no club outside the premier league has had a say is a total lack of disrespect to the footballing Pyramid. They’ve also promised £33M to trickle down to Grassroots Football; There are 18,000 grassroots teams in England, meaning that each team (Hypothetically) gets a cut of £1,833 over a period of time… This is nothing in the grand scheme of things!!
