He is great guy man. I met him one night at the bar. I went out with some friends, I realized I left my I.D. at my apartment once I got to the entrance. I had to walk back to get it, but when I returned they had a line to the street. LSU football players get in free so about 6 of them skipped the line. I was the only black dude in the line😂😂

Just found your channel tonight and I am shocked. I grew up in a small rural Alabama town being taught the police were our friends and were here to protect and serve the public. I am much older and wiser and have seen police brutality first hand as well as in the media. So many of the cases you cite involve black citizens and white law enforcement. There is nothing that can convince me that racism is not a major problem in America, especially in law enforcement. Our whole judicial system needs to be looked at and corrected. I am an old, age 68 years, white lady and many of these stories make me feel shame and disgust. If we cannot trust the people we entrust to protect us we are lost.
You’re a good person!
I’m also white and the problem is that not enough white people agree with us and claim that racism is a thing of the past. Nothing could be further from the truth. I completely agree, the criminal justice system needs to make some major changes to repair the damage done regarding relations with the black community and the public overall.
I just found your comment tonight and wanted to say thank you for being a good person. I’m a 33 year old white woman and I can’t even imagine the terror of interacting with police while black. I grew up in a liberal area of Wisconsin and was taught to treat everyone with respect, even though my town was probably 95% white. I’m glad to hear there are people from rural Alabama with common sense and human decency. Sometimes it’s easy to stereotype, just like cops do to black people. Thank you!
I love how open-minded you are and that, most importantly, you are able to take in new verifiable information and allow it to help re-prioritize and alter your worldview!! This is so hard for anyone to do at any age but so essential for progress in all fields. Your comment indicates that you’re a person who strives to be kind and intelligent

The majority of the cars on the road do 20 mph over the limit but rarely get pulled over . Racism makes blacks to receive a criminal punishment while non blacks get tickets .

When a trooper cannot identify a good guy from a bad guy, it's time to voluntarily quit or be fired.
Be fired, no quitting. Quitting still entitles them to some benefits as is my understanding.

These were valid questions. The dude was going hugely in excess of the speed limit, demonstrating contempt for the law. And yes, he's a giant burly guy who could mess you up if he wanted to. I first hand watch some old crusty white dude get pulled over on the side of my house. Dude gets out of his car sounding drunk af yelling at the officer on why he got pulled over. Officers like sir can you please get back in your vehicle. The officer didn’t pull his gun, taser, or try to intimidate the guy at all. The old crusty white gut gets back into his truck. The officer explains he was pulling him over for no seat belt. The officer asks for his info. His vehicle isn’t registered, I’m assuming no insurance. And the cop let the guy just go with a warning!!!!!? Like are you kidding me. I’m white and I would have gotten arrested or something for sure if I stepped out of my vehicle at a traffic stop. Let alone be clearly intoxicated, unregistered vehicle, no insurance and wasn’t wearing his seatbelt. (My wife and I can clearly see and hear everything. Wish we recorded it because of how ridiculous it was)
@Henry Ortiz You have to understand the dynamic here…white cops mostly fear and hate black men in particular…A cop like that will kill you in a hot second🧐
@Henry Ortiz show your proof.
@Henry Ortiz Fair or not, staying calm might have saved his life.
We have a lot of similar laws in Canada. Luckily for us they don't really police for profit, in most cases you can do 120 in a 100 zone and you won't get pulled over... Unless you're weaving in and out of traffic. It's crazy to see how many Americans are bilnd to the fact that the system isn't designed to help them. Their mindset isn't about helping people, it's about arresting people....and there is a difference.
I also give Mr Montgomery an A for his great attitude during this stop. Nice job Mr Montgomery. And your Mom sounds wonderful too.
That cop is scared, he is in the wrong profession.
I honestly don't get WHY he was so scared, that's the most cooperative citizen I've ever seen. Sam Montgomery certainly made a valiant effort to untangle the incoherent word salad being thrown at him and try to comply with... whatever it was supposed to mean.

Most of 'em are in the wrong profession. Those are the guys that they like to hire.
@Derck McCoy So he exasperates the situation? How about simply writing a ticket and letting it go at that. As well, one can be careful w/o being an asshole. The method by which one does things is often more important than what one does.
Imagine having multiple weapons, the man is complying and has his back to you, and you're still so petrified that you can't give coherent commands. Scared people with guns is becoming the real pandemic
Yah because anyone can have a gun. That causes the paranoia. This paranoia is absent where I'm from because people generally don't have guns...

Exactly this. I was thinking the same. I think he got panicked as soon as he saw how big the guy was.
This is exactly why women should not be allowed to be police officers on the street. He was just scared when he saw how strong and big the guy was!! you can see when he backed away when he got out of the car!
Nothing is more Dangerous than a Scared Officer !
I'll stand by that statement against anyone !
“Hands behind you back, palms up, reach for the sky”
“Put your feet apart”….”I said put your feet together”
“Do you want me to tase you?”
With all of these contradictions, I’m wondering if the officer was sober…or dumb…
🤔I'm sure he's Just dumb🤣
I think he saw this HUGE dude come out of the car and he was scared shitless, thats why he kept making conflicting commands cos he was pissing himself...
Both
He was stupid and terrified lets just be honest
No, it's power tripping. They enjoy making people nervous because they have the badge. He was needlessly trying to turn the most simple of stops into, "I'M GONNA TAZE YOU!". Thank goodness he was fired, although he'll just go one town down and get hired there.
Jails are overflowing and this guy was arresting everyone who breathes...
And they let a lot of truly dangerous people out because of that.
That’s intentional. Prisons provide free labor, and private prisons usually have contracts requiring a certain capacity at all times.
"we literally don't have enough jails for all the criminals, so let's stop arresting them"
that logic is spotless...
@@Burger_pants we don’t have enough jails because we incarcerate people who shouldn’t be in jail in the first place.
@@Burger_pants we have by far the largest incarceration rate on earth. Higher than China, North Korea, Russia, or anywhere else. That’s not normal
"NFL? You're under arrest" Lol what?
If a cop can't even give straight commands then wtf is he doing with a gun, let alone, a taser?! Is this really the best America can do?
Yes
I really think the evidence would say yes. This is the best America can do
No, which is why he’s specifically being pointed out as a crappy cop. Kind of the point of the video....
Oh it’ll be worse if we defund the police lmao. What do these idiots think defunding does? Lowers the bar for entry and gets them less training.
His commands were pretty clear by the way. “Spread your feet” and “palms up” aren’t hard to comprehend.
Officer got scared when he saw he was a big ole fella and started backing up. Ha ha
For good reason. Not everyone under arrest goes without a fight and he didn't wait for backup (for reasons we aren't presented)
WOW!!! Arrested for speeding, just don't make any sense. Always talking about comply do what you are told, and you won't have these problems. This is the perfect example what happens ,And you wonder why black men does not trust law enforcement. This racist jealous hillbilly needed to be fired!!!
@Eupo I'm tired of you clowns. You always want to diminish race in a country predicated on race. Lmaooo.
I was drive towards KS city for private track training. Was speeding on the way there about ten over the limit on the highway. Was pulled over and put in cuffs because of the cop being old, fat, and cowardly. I'm black, the cop is white. You can ignore it all you want, racism is real.
Not only that he stopped other cops that's a big no no.
Once you've warned an COP once don't you think that's enough to let them go.
The first 1.5-2 mins was like a Reno 911 skit I swear, barking random commands

No his culo smelled like caca buey!
I'm so confused as to why he asked if he was a veteran, and then said- NFL?
Montgomery volunteered that information. "You military?" "Nope, NFL" "NFL?" "Yes sir" "You're under arrest" was the full exchange

Sooooo, who’s responsible for arresting cops when they’re driving more than 25mph over the posted limit (non emergency) and talking on the cell phone?
Right, they should get citizens arrest
@@faymous I would love to record that.
Most police vehicles are equipped with a speed monitoring GPS system that alerts the shift supervisor when an officer exceeds 10-15 mph. Most police officers going to calls do not use sirens when going to calls either. Alerting the bad guys you are coming, or causing traffic to act in an erratic manner is dangerous. They do drive fast as allowed by law and can exceed speed limits when performing duties. And officers are allowed to talk on their cell phones since they may be talking to victims on scene, other officers responding to a call, dispatch or supervisors, and if the fear that the suspects may be using a device like a scanner to monitor communications on things such as robberies or kidnappings, or for other reasons. Most deputies don't have hands free calling. If you catch a police officer speeding and you can record it while being sure to get the white lines on the road or the spacing of power poles. Then if they can not prove that officer was going to a legitimate call, they can be brought before a review board. However, make sure you are not speeding. If you catch an officer playing on his phone, also record it. If you decide to be an idiot and think, 'Well the cop doesn't have his lights and sirens on, I can drive as fast as he can' you will learn a valuable lesson about playing stupid games and winning stupid prizes. Imhave been that idiot! I have caught cops speeding before GPS was a thing and had several brought up on review and suspended. Also caught them driving without a seatbelt, driving their children home in take home cars, and eating while driving using both hands. I am pro law enforcement, but them giving us tickets for things they do, is not ok. I'm just sharing things I've learned over the years to keep you from making some mistakes I made.

Jeez! I live in Massachusetts. Everyone goes 80 on the highway.
Sad that consequences are only doled out when the victim is famous.
Famous and or plenty of money
Not always. I've seen several cases of blatant police officer misconduct featured on AtA where the victim(s) of said misconduct were not actually famous and/or well connected and/or rich and the officer(s) were disciplined (one or two even fired I believe), so it does happen. It's just much less common, which is indeed a sad trend.

Oh you poor naive fool - all police interactions get recorded. What matters is what happens to the recordings after the fact.
Yeah. Thank god a police officer trying to apply the law to someone rich and famous was fired. We can’t have that happening.
