I did a deep dive on the phenomenon of "Retard Strength". Basically we all have the most contact with down syndrome folks in high school, and they develop into adults at a much younger age, so they are as strong as an adult, but they don't continue to get stronger. Worked at HD and Lowe's and was forklift, standing lift, and order picker (basically a forklift you drive standing on a pallet to get heavy items from the top racks). You'd be surprised at the people that get certified on these things. Driving them around the store during business hours, either high, drunk or both. Every isle had bent racking from being hit. They put security cameras on every other aisle at about 8 ft., and half of them were destroyed in 2 weeks. Matt may not need to get a job there. Just find the highest employee (don't worry, it's not hard) and stand next to them as they try to pull down about 30 or 40 2"x6"x30' treated lumber decking boards. If they're high enough, they'll forget to get a spotter and put up gates. Just 1 or 2 of those falling from 25' would definitely eff you up, if not kill you. The lawsuit would be epic.
PS: anyone thinking of working at Lowe's or HD, don't. They are absolute horrible employers.

Guy flipped a pallet of mulch from 20 foot up on a spotter (a guy keeping customers away from the area when someone is driving the forklift) at a Lowes not long ago... all stores had to retake the forklift training because of it. Was told the guy was like a tube of toothpaste after it him him.
