The way the game tells you the world's lore in the intro is really stylized and sets up the mystery of what caused the puppets to go on a rampage. To me, so far, it seems some sort of malevolent force took hold of them. At least, that's my theory so far. The tidbits clearly inspired from the original story of Pinocchio are also a nice touch. Really looking forward to more.
Thanks for doing this one, Krystal! I was hoping you'd run through it!
Of course. I love soulslike games and this is really well made.
The world feels like Bioshock (a fallen turn-of-century-city), while the combat feels like Sekiro (attack the enemy to stagger, then go in for the kill). I'm really curious to see where this rabbit hole leads.
I appreciate the no commentary walkthrough. The sound and ambiance is really wonderful. I got to the first mini boss in the game and realized it was gonna be a bastard of a game. 😅
It's so tough... even after they've nerfed some of the bosses.
This is the example of horror adaptation done right
Pinocchio is easier to turn into horror since the original was already dark even for kids story.
i love this game
and also I love that story too
Me too!!!
Thanks for the video.
Damn, this game is intense. The ambiance is like Bloodborne. The mystery is great too. 😮
I wonder if this game is in Italy like the book it was XD
I believe its France 1870s or 1880s.
I remember the book was in Italy, oh well.@@Krystal109
The author was Italian. I looked it up and it takes place in the Belle Epoque era which is French, Belgian, and Italian... so you're probably right. Also Venigni is VERY Italian.
Game so Beautiful 🥰🥰🥰♥️♥️
hey! i was also hoping you'd run through this game once i saw what it was and what it's about :D i'd watched a speedrun which, obviously, doesn't tell you much about the story lol, and found myself wanting to know way more about it
Hehe, love your pfp! :)
These butterflies giving me persona vibes
So when you lie, springs start reacting? I wonder if that’s going to have an effects in the storyline. Either way, I’m intrigued. Btw, awesome gameplay. ☺️
It seems to be anything that only humans can do, such as lie, solve riddles, express emotions like compassion, etc. As for effects on the story, as is typical with these types of games there are multiple endings.
Will you be playing the new Assassin's creed Mirage ?
I hadn't planned on it because in the past they were too tedious, but I am waiting to see the reviews and some gameplay to decide. If they tidied it up and made it less annoying I might.
Do you plan on actually using the weapon crafting feature and make custom weapons?
I have test some of it out between recordings, but I just really enjoy the rapier's length and light weight. Once there are some more weapon options I might switch up the weapons, but I'm the kinda person that also used the Saw Cleaver in Bloodborne for the whole game... cause if it works and I like it, why change it.
Did you see the trailer for the Tales of Arise dlc coming next month? Do you think you will play it?
I didnt. I will have to take a look
@@Krystal109 Thank you. Are there any other upcoming games you have your eye on?
Not really. I haven't looked at a release schedule in a while tho.
Checked it out and since it's in Nov I should have time to sneak it in somewhere. I will ask my boss if he wants a guide for it, which just puts it as a priority over stuff I dont get paid to play.
not a bad game but there are things that are cool
Honestly I haven't had not 1 minute where I wasn't loving this game and everything about it. It's original, sticks to soulslike formula, but with cool original twists, story and lore is top notch, the visuals and feel are amazing, the difficulty is hard but far....what's the bad part?
please dont forget horizon
Is this somekind of soul game?
Its a korean dev that made a soulslike. Its a bit of sekiro, bloodbourne, and souls in one
pinokkio stop lieying whahaha
Are you gonna do Alan Wake 2 ??
I am a coward about horror but I loved Control so I am definitely interested in it. I probably need to see more gameplay to see how much horror it goes.
@@Krystal109 lol word I understand 👌🏽
Yea, I'm one of those ppl that goes "no thank you" to horror houses and back when RE was originally released I would be like "look, if I just don't leave the foyer of the mansion I should be fine right? nothing happens if I don't progress so I will 100% survive"
