Crazy growing up watching this guy every game I could for 14 years and I never thought it would actually hurt this much for someone to leave your favourite team. players come and go every year but damn flower just had everything you want in a player on your team not only an unreal goalie but the best teammate the pens have had for 14 years, someone who loved the city and gave back more then any penguin charity wise. There is no goalie I have more respect for then flower. The way he handled the Murray situation just proof of the teammate and guy he is whenever Murray was having problems fleury always gave him tips and support he could have said figure it out yourself and been salty about the whole situation but in the end left out on top, I hope to see him back in two years when his contracts done but for now we will all miss him

You really said it so well. I grew up watching him as my favourite goalie on my favourite team (as soon as I figured out hockey when Crosby was drafted) and I had no idea it would suck this much to see him leave. Always a Penguin in my mind

Wow I'm really gonna miss that guy. His style was so unique to this era, nobody does a windmill save like he does. I got a Pens jersey for my bday a few months ago and I had to get his name on it, so what if he's gone, he's always a Penguin in my mind. Grew up watching him since the day Crosby was drafted (that's when I started watching hockey). He had to go someday but I wish he could've played out his career there. Glad he's starting again though.

Crazy stats when you look at them. He’s been probably one of my favorite players to watch in a game. But of course I used to be a goalie so you can see the tendency of where my eyes go. Marc Andre Fleury definitely deserves a spot in the hall of fame. But I don’t want to see him retire just yet. One more cup for him I hope.
No bullshit I'm glad I got to grow up and watch him play from the draft to the day he cleaned out his locker. Won't be the same without him.

Why did Flower leave Pittsburgh??? If the GM chose to trade him, for what reason did he do so? Vegas (specifically Coach Deboar and GM McCrimmon) treated him so badly. And then he’s since landed with two very crappy teams-Chicago and Minnesota who can’t score their way out of a paper bag! It’s just not fair given what a phenomenal goalie he still is. I don’t want to see him retire on a low note because he ended with such shit teams. He’s a legend.
