I wish I could meet Fleury. He is such a nice guy and very funny. I’ve watched a lot of his highlights, but even if he wasn’t a good player, I’m not a bandwagon, I’d still love him for the person he is. GO FLEURY!! He’s still got a little yellow on him even with the Golden Nights.
This sucks seeing flower go, he's one of those guys u think will play for your team forever and when he finally leaves it's heartbreaking. He's played for the penguins for 14 years and it's crazy to think he's actually leaving to play for another team

Azzurro Linoone They didn’t really backstab him.. They did what was best for the franchise and even Fluery understood this. It had to happen eventually, Fluery was our star for over the past decade, and he was getting older... It’s heartbreaking, but it is what it is I guess.

As a Rangers fan, I never liked this guy, but as a human, I have found that fleury is an incredible human and a great person on and off the ice. He was the spark to ignite the penguins to their Stanley cup championship this year and an incredible playoffs for him. We will all miss him as a penguin, but we are all excited for his new career in vegas. Keep being awesome fleury!

Pens should retire his number.
It's a good thought, but I don't believe that numbers should be retired. Instead, there should be banners in the rafters with the numbers of special players, but their numbers should be available for new players. If a player requests a historic number, he should receive a letter with a description of what the player who was honored did, to try to embody the best qualities of the player honored. That way, special players can have their contributions honored, and the numbers will be available for circulation, averting a situation like with the Yankees, where no single digit numbers are available.

Numbers are retired not just for the player's playing style or because he was a "star". It's a sign of going above and beyond for the sport you love. For being a great person. For being a role model.

No, I agree with the guy above. Flower's number SHOULD be retired.
It'll either be Crosby (or Jagr possibly) first, then Malkin, and finally MAYBE Fleury. I say maybe because the Pens don't usually retire numbers (just 2 right now). Mario obviously deserved it, maybe even league-wide. Either way, it's a long way from now to retire any of them. They still got 5+ years in them.

I am a Vegas native (originally from Minnesota)and a huge knights fan when they first started and yes we thank you Pittsburgh for this most amazing goal tender anyone would ask for. we will also always remember him as being a penguin and one of the greatest hockey players to ever skate on ice. I will always tip my cap to flower in his and the penguins honor.

This guy was always there for our team, through the good and bad. He always gave 100 percent and anything less was heinous. Gonna miss this guy, however I'm glad he'll be apart of a team where he will play. He highlighted my early childhood, and it's hard to see him in another uniform.
Thank you Marc-Andre Fleury. It was a joy watching you play. There's no one like you, and you are missed already. My hope is that you will return to Pittsburgh someday. Maybe as a coach, but if not, to retire here. Just come home !

I'm not a Pens fan at all but I don't know how anyone could not like this guy. A great goalie and a true class act. As someone who plays goalie the thing I like the most about Fleury is how calm and collected he is when he's playing. I'm happy he was able to end his tenure with the Penguins with a cup and that he was a big reason they made it there. He will be a big reason why the Knights will win any games this coming season. Best of luck in Vegas Flower!!!

Great tribute to a great player. It's bittersweet seeing Flower go. One on hand, we lose a great goaltender who has carried the team on his back through tough games. On the other, he gets to be a starting goaltender again and finish his career off the bench and in the crease. Thank you for this video.

Welcome to Vegas! I'm a Steelers fan since I was born and go to Heinz for a game every year (usually against the Patriots albeit losing) this year it's the season opener. I became a season ticket holder for the Vegas Golden Knights because it's our first professional team here. A newly acquired hockey fan to support our city and the first jersey I'll be proud to wear is Fleurys! Not even a Pens fan but this is hard to watch. I know times change and people move but watching a fan favorite who does not want to leave be pushed out due to numbers is saddening. You can tell he loves his team, loves his city and loves the fans. He is a class act and from what we see an amazing teammate. I hope he goes back to Pits in a couple of years to close it all out. Remember those big YELLOW pads he wore when he first came up to the NHL. He seems to be a very nice guy with a heart of gold, he would do anything to help a fellow human out. Oh lets not forget that he has a ton of skill when he plays goal. All the best to Mr Fleury
pittsburgh is my favorite team, i was so sad to see fleury go. He is by far my favorite player in the entire nhl. He has been my role model ever since i started liking the pittsburgh penguins, i too am also a goalie and love watching his top saves and funny moments videos.

It is sad to see Fleury go. He's been through so much with the penguins and he has touched so many players and fans whether it's on or off the ice. Fleury will be missed in Pittsburgh. We will see him on the ice next season but he won't be with us which is very sad. When he comes back to Pittsburgh to play against us, everyone will cheer for him.
I’m not a Pittsburgh fan AT ALL, I’m a ranger fan but my cousins are Pittsburgh fans and they were just soooo upset, and this kinda made me feel sad too. I guess I’m a true hockey fan and feel bad even though I hate the pens 🙂Just a weird feeling especially when it’s not your team.
As a red wings/caps fan,when I saw the game winning save that got the pens the cup against the red wings, sure, I was pissed. Yet for some reason I am crying about someone who is leaving a team who I hate, sooooo I'm pretty dam emotional
