Thanks for the mention! I've had the same rust problem with the Longhorn Bowie. Waxing has helped a lot, but ultimately I'll also be stripping the coating. It would look good with a patina so I might do a treatment to make it patina a bit.
My Tops Silent Hero had the same problem with the coating. Tops offered to fix it under warranty. I stripped the coating and gave it a vinegar patina and I’ve had no rust problems since, I live on the coast and rarely oil it as I should.
I semi permanently attached an sp6 sheath to my jogging stroller to deal with off leash dogs. I love that knife and most of spec plus line. For $65 it's an insane value, a true fixed blade multi tool. The sheath is fine for the price. The Tops sheath is 100% completely unforgivable at the price. I'll be getting a custom leather sheath for the long horn if I can find one. BK9 is as cool as it is ugly, it's a big ugly powerful dog.
Your leather work is pretty damn good. Yea man I think every collector should have a BK-9 and a RAT1. I only have aus8 but that's good enough for now. That red g10 scales definitely look awesome on the s35vn one u got there. I carried a RAT for edc for a long time. Right now I'm on Kershaw Blur. It has a Lil recurve that really helps slice material at work. But I'm like you with folders. I like my big old fixed blades and like customizing them. 👍
Good day, TOPS discontinued that clear cerakote because of that issue. If you email TOPS and send pictures they will reprocess the knife under warranty. You can choose any of the new cerakote options.
I agree about the RAT 1. Most folders wont survive a week in my pocket at work. My Rat1 is 10 years old now and beside sharpening and a new set of washers its about good as new.
Nice selection of goodness and like you state with Ontario those sheaths are something special....I thought for a moment I might see a Buck or Mora knife come back into your life so I was wrong....😂😂😂😂😂😂....Good stuff....
Good choices. I got an AUS8 & a D2 and a BK9. If you find the handle on the BK9 too small maybe you could put two thin spacers between the handles and the tang like the Esee6. It might look cool and I don't think anyone's ever done it. I like the Rat because it's simple and even though it looks a bit weird just like you I find a handle very comfortable. Plus the blade is really good at slicing.
The Red Rat 1. I made my mind up (took your advice and just frickin got it) and paid for it tonight. It’ll arrive this week sometime. 👍🏼 Can’t wait to check it out.
Please, you and my father-in-law and all others, stop saying "acrossed". Its not a word. ___ went across ___ . It's not ___ went acrossed ___ . Why? Because you're a smart man, please, before you know it, people will be saying "I went throughed the street", or I went throughed the woods. For the sake of our children please 😅
Not gonna happen. The way the younger generation speaks and spells now I’m the least of peoples concern. I don’t axe questions. I am not finna do anything. And I don’t say dat. Please help them. I’m an old dog that doesn’t wanna learn new tricks
@@user-im9ov9ud7m Well dagnabbit, I have my own issues fer sure, that acrossed just always bothers me because people think it's a legit word and I've been hearing it from everyone...just sayin...maybe I shouldn't comment after a Double IPA 🤪Chop On
Damn dude, you did a great job on that Bowie sheath
Thank you
Thanks for the mention!

Awesome
From Ontario, always been fond of the Sp5 Bowie. Not getting rid of that one
It’s a good knife
Nice.😎
Nice job on the sheaths as well. 👍👍
Thank you sir

Thank you. That sheath took me a while. And heck yeah. Big choppers is where it’s at
I absolutely luv the BK-9, too! :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

Thank you for that. But honestly I like modifying my knives. So it will probably be easier for me to do it
I agree about the RAT 1. Most folders wont survive a week in my pocket at work. My Rat1 is 10 years old now and beside sharpening and a new set of washers its about good as new.
It’s such a good knife
Good vid. I still would like to see your top axe and or hatchets
The BK 9 is a monster
Love the sheath you made for the Tops. The Prather War Bowie has the same atrocious nylon sheath
I unfortunately know. I had to purchase one for that too
@@peterbiltknifeguy that’s a shame. It’s almost just as bad as not getting a sheath, like when you get a Busse

😂 not a chance
Glad to see a folder get some love! You ever try the Ontario SP5 bowie? Inexpensive and awesome.
Not only do I have one. But I completely modify it

Love the Red Rat 1 tbh
Same here. It’s a good edc knife
Great blades dude, like them all ❤
Thanks brother

Thanks. That’s a great idea when it’s too narrow. This is a length issue for me
I need to get a SP6 in the collection. Good stuff.👊
Jump on it bro, they're getting hard to find.
Do it lol
@@jimbusmaximus4624 I’ve noticed that. The prices also went up about $10-15 a knife. Still it’s a good price so it’s all good.👊
Great discussion Video, Bro! :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)
Thank you
If you are looking for ideas what about a butcher knife for wood chopping...They are pure beasts..
Hold on Peterbilt back that bus up..I read the title and thought for sure the Condor would be on this list..That tinging sound is ringing in my ears..
That Ontario is a Randall Made clone, or at least *very inspired by*... Not judging, just an observation. For the price a cool knife.
Nice
Thanks
I Will put a Paracord hole for the second knife
It has one.
I’m so on the fence about the Rat. I like it, but don’t love it….yet. It keeps on getting my attention.
Rat 1 or 2? What are you unsure of
The Red Rat 1. I made my mind up (took your advice and just frickin got it) and paid for it tonight. It’ll arrive this week sometime. 👍🏼 Can’t wait to check it out.
You gotta let me know what you think when you get it
I'm noticing a theme of great knives, but crappy sheaths.
It’s a real problem lol
Great video. I'm like you with all of these accepted the rat. Don't really like it that much. Don't hate it, I just don't like it.
