A 7 year old, shopping on her own, and carrying a steak knife? Utterly dysfunctional parenting; full blown, criminal neglect of a minor child. The child was practically abandoned filially. To have had the 10 sets of eyeballs of cats and dogs, by the age of 9, she must have practically lived a nomadic childhood, devoid of nurture. Set free at 18? A sociopath can never be cured. Medical science cannot treat this malady. One can't surgically implant empathy, or a conscience, into a soul.
She was obviously evil, possessed, or a result of ignorant parenting. I would have never given her the fake eyeball, look what it inspired. I think she only had interest in the eyeball because it was fake. If she never got it, she may not have ever become so interested in eyeballs. But, the story's fake, so I'm not worried.

The profs would stick a pin in a certain parts of a head to be identified. They put the jar in a paper bag and walking to the dorm were stopped by a security officer. He asked, what's in the bag? They said, a head. He thought they were kidding, and didn't look. They passed the test.

This child belonged in a mental institution, not juvenile detention. She should never have been let out. I'm not sure what happens when a child comes of age while "serving time" in a mental institution. Under normal circumstances such a sentence means indefinite incarceration.

Some people are the best parents in the world and still have a child who is mentally disturbed. My little sister, who is now 44, used to kill small animals and brutally beat my kitten nearly to death.
Like that sick little girl will ever change. This kid is sick, period. You get thoughts like that at such an early age it becomes all you know and deeper the fascination gets. Its a vicious cycle that wont end til her life does.

Kids from strict Christian households learn very early that the devil is always trying to own their souls. It's not a stretch for a kid to think she can own souls, too.
