In this video I tried to trained like an Olympic Sprinter for 30 Days. Specifically focusing on the track and field category of the 100m sprint. In the video I cover my sprinting technique, some of my running problem areas, and how I managed to increase speed in 30 days. Hope you guys enjoy and can learn some key sprinting warmups and sprinting exercises to help you sprint faster and run farther in the future!

Have a great week guys! Cheers.
This guy really timed a 100 on a curve😭😭😭
That's what confused me, wtf is this
And says he improved so much from training when he takes the straight away a month later lol
Regardless he’s definitely faster
@@ASivan-wo8wn unfortunate we can't measure that!
Yeah, not sure what they were thinking... your time would increase significantly running on curve vs running a straight even with a Day 1 comparison of the two.
You should keep this up for 3 months or 6 months or a year and post another video. I’m sure loads of us would find it extremely interesting
He doesnt have the time with all his other fitness challenges
ye
Sub 13 club maybe?
Should’ve done 400m training for 3 months. That would’ve been 100000000% of a better video
Yo
As a 22 year old i did 11 second in 100m, now as a 60+ year old i for fun tested 100m and got 18.3 seconds. That was a brutal wakeup of what age and laziness do to you. Next year my goal is to go below 15 sec, wish me luck.
Queeee?
Do it. You can.
Any update?

As someone who has ran a 10.5 and can still run around an 11.1 today this was still very impressive to shave nearly 2 seconds off your PB in only a month. Nice job!
I got 13.01 secs and im 13
Dude that's blazingly fast
@@bobthabuilda1525 thanks man!
Fastest I can remember running was 12.43 at 15yrs old
10.5 Are u serious? Youre black? Athlete?
The first 100 m was on a curve and then the second one was a straight away the two times are obviously going to be different you need to try this again but do the initial time and the final time on the same track
Doeant that mean his actual 100 meter time is actually faster
@@isaacalzate8262 on te 1st atempt only, so he didnt improve as muhc as he thinks, he may even not improve at all, if hes using better running shoes, running on a straigh, and using a better running mechanic/tecnique. all those factors will count alot, all that training was rather "useless" in this case and didnt prove anything
For being real curve really not matter
@@wolololer Well that's ironic... 'using a better running mechanic/technique'... meaning.... training... and in only 4 weeks showed a significant increase in his speed. In other words, ... it worked.
I mean you aren't wrong, but as someone who ran track I can tell you that the difference in time from the curve is going to be pretty negligible compared to the ONE AND A HALF SECONDS he cut off his time.
Day 1: horrible shoes, ran the 100m on a curve.
Day 30: much better shoes, ran the 100m on a straightaway
Still enjoyed the video but pls keep the variables the same
the scientific method has no place on youtube
@@colinmcd94 it’s called a fair test, it’s got nothing to do with science
@@joshuabruck9719 the point of the scientific method is to "fairly" compare different hypotheses
if you watch othervideos, they do stuf like this alot, at 1st atempt its like the dont even try to do his best, at the end of the 30 days they min/max everythig to get a better timing.
they jsut do this for the video, they are not actually trying to improve, just like after they do the "challenge" they completly ignore everything they "learned" on the video
@@wolololer true his form was exactly the same on the last day, which he probably should have improved on having a proper sprinting coach
I like the internal competition between the Guys, acts as a good 'control' test against the 30 days of training!
Also nice to see the bros together
as a long distance runner, this makes me so happy to see. i've been a bit out of practice, but i know i can get back up to a good level. i am happy to see this, thank you for showing our training in track n field. i can do good sprints.
Same here!
It looks like you've been misinformed about training on sand. I train on sand with my athletes and the improvement they've felt has been astronomical. However, the key is to train in bare feet, which will build a ridiculous amount of strength/juice in the lower limbs (which are notoriously weak in most people because we wear shoes from such a young age). My athletes say that when they've sprinted or jumped on sand and then gone back to the track, they feel like they have 'rocket-powered' legs.
My time improved due to no track available so only beach sprinting, stair workouts and gym strength training . Unbelievable results.
I dont have any sand other than long jump pits available sadly
They can "feel" the difference in control much more after sprinting on sand. So they have more control on a real track that they couldn't "feel" before.
Anecdotes aren't evidence.
All our athletes have improved their times/distances significantly since we started sand training and have become far more injury resistant. Do you have any contrary evidence?
If you invested in some good quality spikes and had blocks the time would drop even more
For sure
only if you know how to use them x)
Great video. I liked to hear all the tips you got from the coach. Great job with the improvement.
If you end up continuing your sprint training, feel free to reach out with any questions. Solid video and progress 👍🏽

Ok, now I can really get a feeling of how crazy sub 10s runners are.
high school varisty is sub 12, sub 11 to make state in high school, sub 10 to make olympics. 1 second is huge
I used to run just under 12 and it was crazy how far ahead someone running 11 flat was never mind sub 10, I find it hard to imagine what 9.58 would look like in person
@@henryxiao7083 I was sub 12 and wasn't on my HS varsity lmao that's how fast they were. Probably would have been on the following year though
@@Nuhjeea well there's a big difference between 11.6 and 11.9 haha, keep improving
@@littlebendixon93 me an my brother always wanted to run along usain bolt at his peak, just to experience how absurd it must feel like
Best video ever. The explanations and the advice is solid!
Another helpful tip is staying relaxed, you hands look very tense. A way you can practice is holding a chip in your hand and when you run don't drop it and don't crush it.
Great video. One thing, at that level, while trying to get a tenth faster, the real valuable part of all the training is to maintain the speed you actually have and make that speed consistent day in and day out. Don't know much about sprinting, but know a lot about powerlifting and know several world champions. At that level they, aren't always setting PRs (even over months or years), but the consistent high level they've attain is what keeps them winning competition. I mean, take Usain Bolt, it's not like he as setting WRs every time he ran, but his top consistent speed was higher than his competitors's fastest consistent times.
I trained like an Olympic sprinter for one day, and spent 8 weeks healing my injuries.
Hey, I just clued into the building behind you and know the track you're on, as I live nearby.
Am going to be using this track from time to time, too, as I am just getting into sprinting!
Nice to see such great progress with the training you did. Cheers!
That is a great improvement, cool achievement!
Really loved this video!!
Great content, This is very helpful as I’ve only started walking in the last week. Try to build up some endurance. I haven’t worked out or ran in probably 20 years so this is a challenge for me. Your video was very helpful and I’d like to say congratulations. I could tell through the video that you were already getting faster and your form is much better even before the 30 day, very inspiring.
I love your channel so much man. Your wolverine/Hugh Jackman workout and diet video motivated me to go to the gym.
I love these videos. Especially from my couch.
the amount of time ive been looking for a video like this finally xD
Great improvements I applaud you sir
Great inspiration thanks my friend always keep the goal
Amazing improvement in a short period of time . Well done indeed .
I feel like he didn’t really get faster, just learned how to sprint properly
Improving form is one of the main ways to get faster.
Which, of course, is part of being 'faster'....
Using proper form literally helps you become faster
@@benwaldner61 right I’m saying he didn’t get faster he was always this speed now that he’s got his form down he can add on top of that to increase his overall speed
yep. and a bit of hamstring power because of those plyo's.
You put a lot into these videos and it will all pay off soon. Keep doing what you're doing. Great content 👌
The thing that is fun about these videos is that the big progress happens in the first phase because it's all so new, but it soon dips off the farther and farther you go. Getting a second faster is nowhere near as easy as this, and this wasn't easy either.
Good job man! Thanks for sharing
dude I enjoyed this. You might wanna think of hooking up with Knees Over Toes Guy next time you do a training block like this. I think your improvement will be, well, improved.
Young brother started faster but older really benefited from specific sprint training (plus shoes)--as we all would with smart training. Nice video for us "amateur" sprinters.
6:48 Thanks for this tid bit about plyos on sand. I found this out through trial and error. For myself, I would skip plyos on sand and do sprints on the sand instead.
This was a great vid bro. Congrata on the success of getting your time down by over 2 secs.
Yo that improvement! What a change! great vid gents
I’m no sprinter (distance and cross country runner) but you have improved quite a bit from just a little training.
Great video - keep em coming
Great video and awesome improvement. Though am I the only one who didn't know these guys are brothers? I thought they were just good mates!
You are definitely not the only one!
I think he's got a gift for it actually. If he started training as a kid he might have gone somewhere with this!
Wow! Very quickly you could see your form improve and you looked far more like a professional runner. Well done! Inspirational.
Yes. His form got cleaner and more focused.
Your a great inspiration my friend
This vid is sooooo good. Especially when u clap Cameron in the sprint ;)
Yo I love when I live in the same city as a CZcamsr and can recognize literally every place

Great job dude, keep it up
Don’t run a time trial in the curve unless you were gonna use that to accelerate into the curve (but that defeats the purpose of a 100 time trial) and when you land when you run you need to land on your toes, not of your mid foot. Mid foot is good for distance but not for sprinting. And using blocks would be a lot better then going from a standing start. And shoulders looked tight but that could’ve been just based off your build (I’m a college runner btw, I’m not trying to just critique w/o having experience)
If the guy counting you down at 9:14 is at the finish line you should also consider the speed of sound (343m/s). It takes about 0.3 seconds for you to actually here "Go" if he's standing ~100m away.
Where can we find a list of the specific trainings you did? I’d love to see on paper the day to day rigor you went through. Great video

Love to see you try again in another month after some heavy deadlifts
Great energy, great improvement, great video
Thats crazy. U shave almost 2 seconds. Good job man, its good if we can see the progress after 3, 6 or 12 months after this
Great video!
really cool that you did this
Boasting brother bombs. Things I love to see. Hahhahahah!
This was so cool to watch. And it also gives a lot of insight into the work that professional sprinters do.
Working a whole month to shave off less than 2 seconds?
The cost of greatness is wild.
Thoroughly enjoyed this...
Great video! I wonder how he’d do after 3 months? Sub 13?
Looking much better on the second run
The training volume was excessive IMO - the gains were purely on technique alone - in such a short period, 30 days, focus on technique and body position is enough to bring great results.
Well done on the improvement
Was really interesting
Thank you.
The off the line mechanics look awesome.
" To be fast you have to train fast" Dr. Andy Galpin. I'm not sure if that is the exact quote but close enough!
Used to do long jump. 100s and 200s sometimes 400s and 200s/300 hurdles. Back in high school. Hated running but the track meets be lit with your friends
400 was probably the one that tested your fortitude.
1. high knees parallel to floor
2. stay tight
3. dorsiflexed, land on ball of foot, a skip bring down under hip
4. fall forward drive with glutes, force backwards, start head down first 20meters, then gradually take vertical posture
5. rest a lot, fewer sets, gradually build, keep good form
Way to go! Another great video! Paris 2024👍
that excitement at the end is why we're obsessed with track
Nice, you're in a good improvement!
Wow, great job!
Nice work!
I would have avoided the huge 45 minute warm up on your final time trial day. A few drills, a few range of motion movements/swings, then maybe one acceleration up to top speed, then a bit of rest, then bam. I would also have added more core strength endurance work in your gym days. Russian twists are great for oblique strength which you desperately need when sprinting. Otherwise, amazing job man this was an entertaining watch and goes to show how improvements can be made.
It's like when I run road mile races. I didn't really run track in high school and only took up these road races in my 40s, so I don't have a great foundation, but have done well in the past. I'm 51 now and couldn't train this year for the USATF national title events in Des Moines. I told the people at the start that I've only got about 0.9 miles in my legs right now. I'll be damned if I'm going to fiddledick around for 20 minutes sprinting 20s down the street. :D
that was mad cute racing lol
Great job! 13.75 is so impressive! My best is 14.9.
Seriously tq man 😉😃👍
Very educational, the training makes senses
This was fascinating to watch
Maybe you can get to 12:00 sec! Where you tense in final run? It looks like you forgot the right movement in the shoulders and more (maybe). But good for you, I anjoyed your video! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

When I saw the 100m on the curve 1 min in I almost closed the video
Why would you run on the bend for a 100 metre sprint?
Perhaps the track he ran on was too small to run just the straightaway
@@atgzheng7389 the timing is incorrect if you running on bend, just do the Timon on a straight track when you can.
@@atgzheng7389 he runs on the straight at the end though
Who can't find a straight 100m stretch somewhere..geez
The crazy thing about this is that the fastest mile runners run whole miles at a faster speed than him at his initial 100m sprint.
They can run sub 12
13 second sumn per 100 meters for el guerrouj wr
well marathon winners run approx 20km/h so thats above what the average 40 year old guy runs on the 100m.
I have no idea what I would run today and I don't even care. I used to get torched by the faster football players, but watching this vid and I'm feeling real good about my 11.5x runs of yesteryear.
Cool accomplishment, great video! Well done!
The chengman 😮iykyk, big foiiiig

It's not really accurate, because the first run was on a curved line. If it was on a straight line like it was on the last day, you could run it under 15 seconds.
However great job. It's a big improvement just in one single month
yeah that first track field looked small
