Thank goodness no Texas lakes were mentioned. We have plenty of out of state boats at our lakes now. Let everyone go to Lake Mead, please, its 10 times better than any Texas lake.
Hell Know Texas Bass fishing is lot's better YOUR on something at Mead.
Got your point though
Lmao 🤣
Well I hate high humidity, so yes, I’d agree Lake Mead is 10 times better than ANY lake in Texas.
I grew up and lived on the Atchafalaya basin. Fishing was way better 70’s,80’s,90’s. Siltation and Asian Carp, and decreased water flow has changed the basin. Not what it used to be.
Best video I've seen on this channel. Awesome.
Never been to those western lakes, but if you are looking for an aesthetic experience, and the chance to catch a bass of a lifetime, the St. Johns River below Lake George is hard to beat. Tons of Gators, and curious Manatees will swim right up to your boat. And definitely Old Florida, with fish camps and modest cottages all along the river, and a nice bar and grill overlooking the river in Astor. For real wilderness and numbers of fish, the Roanoke/Chowan basin in eastern NC is also pretty special. Lots of cypress and seeing black bears is not unusual.
Mississippi River is over ran with gar and silver carp. Whittitington had literally millions of gar this season.
Awesome perspective Randy. People need to hear this, opens their minds. I look for the same solitude. Piss on live scope and modernity
Grew up learning off the Mississippi. Blue gill the size of bass
I would recommend looking into lake winnona in arkansas. It's a smaller, crystal clear lake in the ouchita mountains that is in the national forest. I've spent multiple days out there without seeing anyone or even hearing a vehicle. Most peaceful place I know, and pretty good bass fishing as well
What's your 5 worst lakes Randy? Great video as always!
The swamp in Louisiana seems like Caddo without the crowds
Love the 'chafalaya. We may even move their someday.
Lake Powell is beautiful. Check the forecast before heading out. Windy sand storms can get you
Atchafalya Basin is a very beautiful place , I love it too
Lake Champlain would be on that list if I made it. It's a great fishery for both smallies and largemouth.
You would like some Idaho lakes
I would say Delacroix and Venice, LA...Lake Seminole, Lake Eufaula, AL, Lake Lanier, GA, and St. Lawrence River, NY. Those would be up there.
Randy you're always welcome to fish ontario I'll take ya out
The best part is the size of the lake there is always the sense of wonderment, what's over there what's over here . So big you'll never see every rock. Plus I hardly see boats out there
Fun video Sir, thanks for posting. Good clean fun for all. My short list; Large mouth, something in NY, WI or MN. Small mouth, Lake Ontario area, Green bay area, maybe Lake Simco or Lake of the Woods area in Ontario. Spots, Northern CA lakes or something in GA or SC for numbers and size. Like you the less developed or harder to get too the better. I do like it out west, maybe should expand the list:) Nice light video sir.
Got a huge salmon on Ontario, two days of great fishing.
My favorite place to fish is the Boundary Waters in Minnesota and Canada. Most of the lakes can still only be fished by float planes or canoes. The fishing is amazing.
Im glad none of the out of the world fishing in Az, MN, Mi TX etc werent mentione! There are some stupid lakes in MN that are small 2k or smaller lakes chock full of 5lb largies. That nobody touches. Northern Mi throw a dart at a map and u can catch 23-25lb bags of smallies in all of em. Glad i grew up there. AZ backwaters full of 7s and 8s stationed there 7 yrs. Tx everyone knows tx.
I'm with you on loving wild places. Powell is in my favorite region in the countryso i understand why you love it. I do hate that to create it, they destroyed a canyon reported to be every bit as beautiful as Grand Canyon. Glenn Canyon is a true wild place that was thoughtlesslt destroyed, so I kinda have a hatred of Powell. They tried to do the same thing to the Buffalo River here in Arkansas. Thank God people won the fight to save it. I believe we need to leave some rivers free and wild. Ok, I'll get off my soap box now. 😅
Surprised you didnt mention a single lake in the Carolinas. My favorite place is Santee Cooper. I get a new PB every time i go. I love getting lost in the cypress forests
Making runs to t bar in the fall with no wind days f kn priceless
Maybe thats ben milikin in that chopper,he shows up for every video lol
Thank you for not mentioned several of the big bass trophy lakes here in Florida. The last thing we need is more people coming down here who want to catch a double digit bass
Ehh Florida isn’t the best place to catch double digits no more. I’d say Texas is that place now but Florida would be 2nd for sure.
@@AsianAmerican113 please continue to spread the word so that everyone just goes to Texas. I would really appreciate it as this past year was my worst on record for double digits which I attribute directly to increased pressure ...
@@AsianAmerican113 no fish in Texas, Everyone go to Lake Mead.
Like the 10-6 I caught on Kissimmee in February? And we never touched a shiner. Senko.
Biased but Mark Twain Lake is one you gotta hit. Especially if youre a bass man or a Crappie man. Beautiful, gigantic restsurant
Falcon Lake
Randy what is your opinion on the asain carp in these places? Tunica cut off was really bad with em 15 years ago.
Fished Ontario a lot and the Mississippi once. Ontario is the best! I’d include Champlain.
No buggs island!!?? It really is a gorgeous lake, used to be phenomenal too
Right I love Kerr
Nobody likes going to Virginia because of the politics
I would love to fish Lake Mead. Seeing Hoover Dam would be a bonus. Same for Lake Powell. The Louisiana lake….unless you can guarantee me no Alligators…..Pass! Same for Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, and even some Texas lakes. I do not want to have to keep looking over my shoulder wondering if a Gator is scoping me out for a snack. If I have to, I will be content with the 7 to 10 lb’ers in the lake I fish here. And Randy…. Get a fiberglass boat. I hope you can find what you are looking for at $30 K…. That might be pushing it.
Should mention the conditions of Powell and Mead with the drought. Horrible now. I would say don’t waste your time going to either of these lakes you will be greatly disappointed
Wow, I did not expect to hear Lake Powell. It’s the lake I fish the most but you don’t hear many in the Bass community talk about it. The fishing is just okay, but like you said, it’s a spectacular place to visit.

They say be sure fishing Louisiana you triple lock trailer at the ramps Cause all the theifs.
No gunterville lol
That place is beat to death
@@randyblaukatintuitive like all the tenn river lakes why i don;t fish it
Texas is so overrated
Im on lake Havasu and the Parker strip , Alamo lake but your right about the desert but its gets Hot 😂
I fished lake Mead in March of 2017. I fished from shore near Temple Bar and caught so many quality fish in the small coves that bass boat fishermen would overlook. It's about perspective.
